Prayer Request & Have a Solid Rock Sunday!!

Good Morning Friends,
*
As I write this I am very tired, but just feel so much
the need to write.  We have been out all day to
Grad parties and running errands and just enjoying
the day, and just a few minutes ago as we went
in to get ready for bed,  I noticed we had a
message on our answer phone.
*
It turned out to be from a neighbor that just
moved a few months ago.  She said her daughter
was in a terrible accident back on May the 4th
and that they are in Jacksonville, Fl. now,
at a rehabilitation hospital.  She said she is
making some progress and has a good attitude.
Her mom asked us to pray for her as she has a
 long road ahead of her.
*
Her daughter Aly,  who is 15 yrs. old
old has a spinal cord injury and is
paralyzed from the chest down.  I wanted
to call her back, but the phone number she
left was rather garbled but I could not make
it out even after listening to it a jillion times.
*
The Mom is a single parent and recently
lost her Mom as well,  and her brother also
moved away,  so not sure if she has a support
system or not.  Her name is Deanna.
*
Thank you for any of you who feel lead
to pray for them,  I would and I know they
would be very grateful for your prayers.
*
Hope this makes sense to you,  cause
I can hardly think straight.  Guess I just
felt like this is all I can do for her right
now,  which really is the best thing.
So Thank You!
*
and Have a good Nights Sleep!!
or rather a good Sunday............
*
Blessings, Hugs and Loves,
Nellie

*
Good Morning Again
*
What a difference a night's sleep
makes......so came back to leave you
with some verses from Psalm 62:5-8
*
Find rest, o my soul, in God alone,
my hope come from him.
*
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
*
My salvation and my honor depend
on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
*
Trust in him at all times, o people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
*
Have a Solid Rock Sunday
*
Love hugs, and Blessings,
Nellie

  1. Oh Nellie, I came over to say what a sweetie you are to say all of those glowing things about our shower but what you have going on is so much more weighty. I just offered up my first prayer and will try and remember to do so again. This kind of news is always so sobering and makes us appreciate how precious and tenuous life is.
Think positively about all the advancements they are making in the area of spinal cord injuries. Miracles do happen.
    Hugs,
    Pam

  3. Oh my, these are the times we get stopped dead in our tracks and remember how fragile life is. My heart is aching for that teenager and her mom. I will pray for them too. Nellie you are such a caring person and it was good for you to share this with your blogger friends. I will pray for a miracle and for God's strength for this family.

  5. Oh, Nellie, my heart goes out to Allie and her mom. I will surely put them on my daily prayer list. The LORD has many times briefly awakened me in the night to pray for Janet's friend, Diane. God is working miracles in her life. I will also pray for Allie and will be aware of His calling me to pray in the night as He directs my sleep.

I have been on the go as well. I came home from church, ate, and before I knew it I was asleep. I woke up to find I was going to be late to Michele's get together for her daughter! What a crowd she had! I got home about 4:15. I went to my blogs and have been on it for about 2 hours! I can hardly wait for next Thursday to be here. Summer begins!
    I love you all,
    Susie
