Better late than never

(Scenes from Cozy Place)

Hello Sweet Friends,
I am a bit late in posting today......  but I am
better late than never!!  lol

Hope you had a great weekend and you
are getting your homes all gussied up for this
delightfully Wonderful time of the year!!

We had a good weekend,  but a busy one
much like yours I would imagine.  Was trying
to get the house at least decorated enough to
look nice for a birthday celebration for Scott's
fiancee, Megan.  Her birthday was actually Nov.
29th,  but since she has lots of family and friends,
and then Scott was out of town working for 3
days we had to delay it till this Sunday!

Then of course, there was cooking to do as well,  but
we actually pulled it off,  but I just opted not to try to do
the tree yet,  so hubby will put that up tonight,  while Dee
and I bake cookies.  His reward will be peanut butter
cookies with herseys kisses in the center!  Yum!!
Then maybe I can get it decorated tomorrow night
or Wednesday.

Think we all enjoyed the Birthday Celebration,  and.......
don't die from shock now,   I actually remembered to
take some pics of the happy couple, as well as the table,
so I will post that on Wednesday evening  Lord willing!!
Remember I told you I was making a tree from coffee
Filters,  well,  decided to use it as a centerpiece
for Megans Birthday,  so you will get to see it too!

We have been out in the yard most of the afternoon,
bringing in and covering plants and raking leaves,
then hubby mowed the yard, hopefully,  for the last
time till spring.  We are suppose to go to 29 degrees
tonight and 30 degrees tomorrow night.
We usually don't have freezing weather before
Christmas or January.

Our newly cleaned and organized garage is full
of Christmas boxes and plants!!  lol
Murphys law,  you wash the car..... it rains,
we clean our garage out,  and have to fill it up
with something else!! lol
Oh well, at least there was room for it!!

Well, Sweet Peas..................
Better end here cause my girl will be here very
shortly to work on those Peanut Butter cookies.
She is going to a cookie exchange party this
week,  so you have to bring 3 dozen of some
sort of cookies.  It should be a fun time........ it has
been a long time since we baked cookies together.

Have a delightful week ahead, and don't get
so caught up in the busyiness of the Christmas Season
that you forget the real reason for the Season!!
Jesus,  Of Course!!

Love, Blessings and Hugs,
Nellie

  1. I can't wait to see a tree of coffee filters! I baked cookies all afternoon. I have a cookie exchange tomorrow night. I have to take 5 dozen cookies and I went ahead and made enough to send a platter to my husband's office. Luckily I took pictures for Foodie Friday, so I was blogging as I was baking:)
