Bedroom Re-arrange with 0 $$$'s spent - part 2

How is life today???  
Hope you are having a fun day
where ever you are and what ever
you are doing?

We are having fun, and I will tell you about it soon.........

but want to finish up part 2 of the bedroom re-arrange.

This is our comfy cozy reading,  talking and
praying area, and ocassionally sleeping area
 (if we are having trouble sleeping.  lol   
 Notice the pics over the

 love seat, they used to be over the bed before.
  This is now sitting where the dresser was, 
which is the first thing you see as you come
in the door of our bedroom.

Actually this tea cart is the first thing you see.
Decided to put a small lamp on their and use it 
as a table.

Top of our armoire - still trying to decide about the white
 birdcage..........so may redo this yet. 

 Recently I decided to clean out my jewelry box  and take
 out things I rarely wear,  so put them all in the pretty blue box,
 that way if I do want them they are easily accessible,  and 
my jewelry box lid now closes again,  lol,  and it is so 
easy to find things.  

Tip:  Anytime you have a lot of things that you use,
 just not all that often,  but you don't really want to get
 rid of....  take them all and put them in a pretty storage
 box or one of those plastic shoe boxes and store
 them somewhere else.
I did that with my some of my kitchen utensils, and 
stored them in the garage on an easily accessible 
shelf right outside the entry door to our kitchen. 
 It has worked out really great, so that is what made
 me think of the jewelry box issue, and it was a
 great clutter eliminator there as well.....

The gray box stores my everyday earrings, in fact, I am

thinking I should switch that to put my everyday earrings

in the regular jewelry box and my dressier ones in the

gray box.....makes more sense cause I use the every

day one, well,  everyday.  lol     and the dressier ones
 once or maybe twice a week.   hmmm.........
guess I will work on that.

Didn't have anything over my bed until after Mother's Day.......

This was the lovely statement piece from Dee and Jerry.

It looks black,  but it is a bronze color,  I really love it,

but am still not sure if it is too much brown,  course,

I can always paint it white too.

So what do you think???

We like it any time!!  lol

I tried a number of times to get a good shot of the wall
 arrangement on the right side of the bed but they just
kept coming out so blurry for some reason, so just 
didn't have time to retake them again.

Bedroom Re-arrange with 0 $$$'s spent, by me anyway! lol

Before Picture

Hello Sweet Friends,

So how are ya??  Doing really well,

I hope..............

Well, sorry it took so long but here are the pics 

from our bedroom  changes.............

Had been wanting to change my bedroom arrangement 

around for quite awhile, but just had not been all that

motivated for one reason or another.  Then when a

long time friend visited us back in February, she gave

 me a practically brand new bedding set,that she could

 no longer use,  so......that was just the motivation I

needed....nothing like a lil help from a friend!  lol

In the Before picture our bed was located between

the 2 windows in our bedroom,  and now it has 

been rotated to the right and sits on a long wall

with no windows,  and our dresser sits between

the windows now.  Just thought that might help

you visualize when you see things.

So on with the pictures.........

Still green,  but more of a lime green

 than avocado.

I really love green and think it is very restful

and fresh for a bedroom, and best of all

didn't have to paint, only touch up!   lol

I used my previous sham since it has blues and

browns in it,  as our carpeting is blue and I also

have brown touches here and there.

These are close ups of  each side of the comforter.

 My night stand 

The corner that is to the right of where

the bed used to be, the rocking chair

used to be in the opposite corner.

See the decoration above the window,

we converted that from a sconce, as

we felt like it needed something up there.

The dresser now between the windows,

and these plants on top of the shelves 

were paired with pictures and were

 above the bed before. 

Decided to use it with the plates that

were over our loveseat before, and

used with the sconces that are now

above the window, and are no longer
sconces.  lol

 This table was on the long wall along with our

loveseat, which is where the bed now sits.

Just changed some of the accessories around.

 Well, I am gonna stop there,

Welcome to Thankful Thursday - May 16, 2013

Greetings Sweet Peas,

So what has your week been like?
Busy, uneventful, fun, just so so, 
 or super duper?  

Think mine has been a lil bit of
each of those, each on it's own day.  lol

I am thankful

for the lovely Mother's Day that I had and for 
all the sweet and thoughtful cards I received from
 those dearest to me.  Always such a delight to be 
with them, and so nice they like to be with us too.

I am thankful

for the thoughtful gift of a beautiful herb garden
 from Scott, Megan and Brooklyn.

 It has cilantro, parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary, dill, 
and thyme. Scott grew them all from seeds.  He is
 certainly in the right career field, as he is an excellent

grower.  It was so nice to go out the other night and
clip some cilantro to put on our dinner.  Love that, as 
I have bought several plants but both of them died.

I am thankful

also for the thoughtful gift of a nice  metal wall hanging
 that Dee and Jerry gave me to put over my bed........
remember we rearranged my bedroom a few weeks ago,
  so it was the statement piece Dee and I thought it needed.
Hubby and I really like it, and it finished the bedroom.

I will show yall next week.....finally!

I am thankful

for hubby taking me shopping not just once but twice
this week and being actively involved in the process, 
which is very helpful to me since I really am not one
 to be thrilled about clothes shopping. so that is a gift
 in and of itself.  He carries everything around that I 
 pick out to try on so I have free hands to look, then
prays that I can find something, (as shopping is tough, 
when you can't where polyester because it is too hot,
 and I totally hate spandex) and he also looks
 around to find things he thinks might work for me,
 and sometimes goes and gets another size if there
 is no sells clerk available. All that is a gift in and of
itself...........let alone that he buys me the clothes
on top of it............He is priceless.........

I am thankful
for the delightful fragrance of flowers like Jasmine
and gardenias.  Was just out mowing the lawn
a few hours ago, and every time I went in the
backyard I could smell the lovely aroma of the
  Jasmine that is blooming, and it was such a
delight to my senses.

I am thankful
to Caroline over at Cinderella Moments, for
sending some people over to my blog for a
visit, and gaining 5 new followers.  
Thank you Caroline,  that was so sweet,
and I appreciate you so much!!

I am thankful
for shop vacs.  If you don't own one you should.  
This lil baby has saved us in all sorts of calamities, 
 the last one being all the glass from my china hutch
 a few weeks ago.   It has taken care of spills of coffee
on the sofa, red kool-aid on the rug, doggies business
on the carpet,  children's sickness (trying to not make
you sick.  lol)  Spills from plants, overflowing toilets,
and I could go on and on.  It is priceless.....really,
worth every penney we paid for it.

I am thankful
for beach umbrellas,  I use mine all the time when
 I sit out in the sun in the back yard.  I can keep
the sun off of where I don't want it and read too.
Very Handy..............

I am thankful
I found a new bathsuit that I really like,  and feel  
pretty good in..........getting harder and harder
to find those or even just clothing. Between age, 
polyester,  spandex and the economy it is
getting very hard to find things....

So almost like a miracle for me.  lol

Can anybody relate to that????

I am thankful
I got to spend a lil time with DeeAnna today,  
as she went in to work late this afternoon for a 
4 hr. shift.  So was nice to have some one on
one time.............and I might add she was a
life saver in a situation that happened.

for my warm, cozy and wonderful home that
we get to live in, clean and maintain, and invite
 others into for good times.  (If you are wondering
 why I highlighted clean,  it pertains to yesterdays
 post. lol   If you want to see just scroll down)

for God's word as it truly is a lamp unto my feet,
and light to my path,  just as it says in Psalm.
Love how it can change your thinking in a heart
beat,  and get your mind where it needs to be.
Guess that's why they call it the living word.

I just had to come back to share something
I just saw on the christian station, it moved me so.....

I am thankful
for the man I just watched on TV named Mark Mero.
He goes around to schools and anywhere he has a plat
form and talks to kids about suicide,  and he works with
parents that have had that horrible experience, and he
 shared a story that just so struck me.

He went to the funeral of a young boy who was just
a great looking kid who had so much going for him,
but he was being bullied at school.  He said as he was
hugging the father he saw the long long line of people
and students who were in line at the viewing.  He said
he saw kids coming up to the casket 4 or 5 at a time
and crying and saying we love you and we will miss
you.........and he said all I could think is why couldn't
they have told him that before this...........

So very true...........we need to let those we love know 
we love them, and every chance we get we need to say 
something nice to those we know and those we don't
 know.  There is always some thing we can say. 
 So many good thoughts go thru our mind about people, 
 but do we give them the gift of knowing what we think
 and feel about them,  if you don't share those thoughts
 you have not given them the love gift, that those
thoughts were intended for.................

I made the decision to do that many years ago
after a funeral I attended where so many people
got up and just said such glowing things about
the person, and I wondered did he know how
much people loved him and how he had
 impacted them...................
Isn't it true............we all need that

We also need to teach our children that it is in no
way acceptable to make fun or say mean things
to others........we need to have 0 tolerance on
that issue................

Something to think about.......................

Afternoon Sweet Friends,

So how is your week going?? 
Over the hump day today,
 wow, already. Does the time
fly at your house as fast as
it does at mine??  lol

Just came in from cleaning the porch for the 
gagillionth time.....lol
Live is so daily sometimes, a lil like spitting
in the wind with keeping house, it just comes
right back at you. but what if we didn't have
a house to clean??  Don't think we would
be to happy about that either.

This issue reminds me of the scripture in the bible
 (Galatians 6:9)  that says 
Do not be weary in well doing, for in due season
 you shall reap, if you do not lose heart.
 Don't know about you but sometimes after all 
these years, I can get pretty weary of cleaning.
 We can tend to think cleaning is not "well doing",  
but it really is........cause we can bless a lot of 
people with a clean home, especially our loved
ones, but  many others as well..................
 I sure know my neighbors did when I was a 
kid growing up in parent home with a Mom
 who had to work shift work, and who had a 
tumultuous house hold, with a not so nice 
grandmother in it........... their home blessed
 my socks off every single day. Course, there
 were sweet people that lived there as well......
but a clean home can say a lot; It makes
 people feel welcome,  peaceful and like
 they matter, and it makes us feel better too.

So go ahead clean for the gagillionth time,
it's okay,  cause it has a good purpose.
Just sometimes we can't always see that
at the time.................but in due season
you will reap or get a reward, recompense
result, return, or you might gain, earn,
 gather, realize or win something.
.  (Sure sounds good to me)
it is also considered being a good 
steward of what God has given us.
 oh yea, don't forget to be sweet!
it sorta goes hand in hand! lol

NOW......on to the other

Today I want to share another encouraging,

sweet, talented and creative blogger and friend.

So.. if you don't already know her, I think you

will really enjoy her blog.  She is special to me

as she lives in a town very close to me, and 

used to attend to my church and we have been

real time friends for a long time.  Some of

you already know and love her,  but for those

 who don't you are in for a real treat. She has 

a lovely blog,  where she talks about family,

 crafting, inspiration and she also does some

 crafting tutorials at times, and she also has

a  party every Wed. called "Blissful White

Wednesday. (accept this week)  lol

This blogger would be Becky from over at 
TimeWashed , some of you might remember
 her from her original blog titled

 Holiday in the sun.

Just recently she was published in a magazine 

called "The Artful Blogger" and the article was

really great. I am so happy that someone learned

of her heart and talent and chose her to be
