Thankful Thursday August 27, 2015, table playing with green #4

But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD
my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.
Psalm 73:28

Greetings Sweet Friends,

So what kind of week have
you had?? Hope it has
been a good one.

Mine has been good, not much
going on since I last posted, other
than watching lil darling, and having
fun with her and having some good
Mexican food from Chili's.........lol

Pictures today are Part 4 of my
playing with green series,
there are 2 more parts, but gonna
take a break from it next week
to show you some of my coastal
 bedroom pictures..............

If you missed Part 3 and would
like to see it, you can either scroll
down from this post or
just click here.

So guess I will get on with it,
since most of my week is in
the post.

I am thankful

#1
for a new banana discovery!!
Ever seen those special bags they
put bananas in to keep them from
turning brown so quickly??  Well, I
 decided to do my own
 experiment..........
so put a banana in one of those
 plastic grocery bags and wrapped
it up and stuck it in the fridge
about a weeks 1/2 to 2 weeks ago.
 Sort of forgot about it.....
and went to put something in the
fridge and saw the bag and thought
oh my gosh, the banana,
so took it out and to my disbelief
it had hardly turned color, and when
I peeled it I expected it to be brown
and super sweet, it was white and
normal.  It did taste a lil bit
different at first but as it got to
be room temp. it tasted normal.
So what a great discovery, cause
our bananas just seem to turn
 brown so fast...............and I only
like bananas that are just turning
from green to yellow....unless they
are in a smoothie or banana bread.
So try it out..........

#2

for the opportunity to help a
young boy who has the most
irresponsible parents I have
ever seen.......so sad!
No child should have to go
thru what this boy has.....
course, it has already made
him a great kid..........

#3

for a fresh batch of homemade
vegetable soup given to us as
a Thank You from a neighbor.
It was amazingly good!!

#4

that our toy organizer shelves
I told you about last week came
in on Friday,  so we were able to
 put them together on Saturday
and they look great!  Very happy
with them, and everything is nice
and tucked away and neat and
tidy............perfect..........
It even gave us more room, so
that even adds to the visual look
of the room as well.............
can't wait to see how lil darling
likes it!!

Update:  She seemed to really

like it and helped me carry and
put away the bins....so cute!

#5

that Lord Willing, my daughter
Dee will be coming for a short
visit here in a few weeks.
We are very happy about that,
Of course.............

#6

that my son, Scott has finally
gotten his business up and
 running again.....as hubby has
been working on a website for
him and they have been
conferring about it for quite
some time. It has taken so
long cause they can only do
it in their spare time, as
they both work full time.
So we are all very happy
to see this come to fruition.
Scott already had a very
successful business on ebay
and decided it was time to
 have his own website.
 He sells electronic items,
 such as;
Blue Tooth Speakers
Audio Systems,
Turntables/Record Players,
Home Theatre Equipment,
and will continue
to add more as he goes along.

Be sure and check out his website

below, as I am proud of both
my boys, Hubby for the great
job he did on the website and
for our Son for the great job
he will continue to do with his
business..............
Feel free to pass the info on
 to your hubby's, son's and
friends if you feel so inclined.
His link is also on my sidebar.

just click on the logo,

and it will take you there.

The logo color choice is reminiscent

of his college years as a University
of Florida Gator..........lol

#7
that hubby appreciates all my table
playing, as he knows and gets it, that
this is one of my ways and attempts
to make others feel special and to
make life seem like a celebration.
In my home of origin nothing was
celebrated very much, so  guessI
am making up for lost time........lol
and hubby says, he appreciates
that I bring beauty to his life........
I loved that!!

#8
for people who get me!
Don't you just love when people
understand you and who you are
and why you do what you do.....
It is one of the best feelings in
the world..............and you just
love being with those people.

#9
that I am finally finished (course,
I will proably still do a lil tweaking here
and there, you know how that is)
with my Coastal decorating in the
 Master bedroom.....now that
 Summer is almost over!! lol
Think we are just gonna enjoy it for
a while and probably it will take us
thru the Winter at least,  then I can
see what it feels like to live on the
 coast all year round.............lol

Sounds like fun to me............

#10
that I am almost done with our guest
bedroom as well,  did most of it on
Tuesday. I just swapped accessories
from one room to the other, so that
room will have a nice change too.
Just have to change the comforter
and pilows yet...............
I will show you both rooms soon.

#11
for a truly wonderful write up in
the Sunday Newspaper about
 NFL football player Tim Tebow,
and how he is just drawn to
special needs children, and all the
ways he is making such a difference
in the world.  He is truly a young
man to be proud of and a young
man who is a great role model
for today's young people.

Go Tim......We love You and
All that you stand for!!

#12
for a gloriously beautiful double
rainbow and dark sky with silver
lined clouds we saw last night.
All so beautiful..... and all by
God's Amazing Design.
We were suppose to get a bad
rain storm but somehow it dis-
persed around us, and the above
described sky is what we got
instead, so thankful we went
out to get take out, or we would
have never seen it.........lol

Seeing that double rainbow
reminded me of these verses
in Genesis 9:14-16 NIV

And God said to Noah after
the Flood:
Whenever I bring clouds over the
earth and the rainbow appears in
the clouds, I will remember my
 covenant between me and you
and all living creatures of every kind.
Never again will the waters become
a flood to destroy all life. Whenever
the rainbow appears in the clouds,
I will see it and remember the ever-
lasting covenant between God
and all living creatures of every
 kind on the earth."

  3. #1. My birds like bananas too! What's so funny, Max likes them when they are more green, while Jerry likes them when they are more brown, ha! I get to eat them in between, lol!
#2. I'm so thankful he is a good kid. When I taught, these children were usually the difficult ones because they thought they could do just anything they wanted, pitching horrendous fits when they couldn't!
#3. Isn't that great! Alice brought to me some black bean and sausage soup!
#4. Making "training" fun is the way to go!
#5. How wonderful it is for Dee to be able to visit so often as she lives a good distance away!

#7. You bring beauty to many lives.
#8. I believe that's what life is all about for us all.
#9. I can't believe tomorrow is September 2015 already! Where did the year go?
#10. It's just me and my pets. So, my rooms look pretty much the same year around, ha!
#11. What a joy that this Christian is not being criticized in one way or another by the media. Remember to pray for our police departments and the communities they protect.
#12. I praise the LORD that He dissipated hurricane Erika.
    Love you all, Susan
