Thankful Thursday August 27, 2020, A Summer table from the past...

The LORD is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation, He is my God,
and I will praise him.
Exodus 15:2  NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you all well and
 happy, and enjoying these last
days of Summer vacation.
Course, for some of us Summer
vacation might end, but the heat
of Summer won't end until late
October, and have to say I am
anxiously awaiting that!  lol

Hopefully I plan to start doing
some Fall decorating next week
if the mood strikes.  lol
It sort of fakes me into thinking
it is Fall...... at least until I go

Pics today are of a Summer
table from the past.

So on with my Thankfuls.....

Thankful for dinner out at Longhorn
Steakhouse, and a trip to the grocery
store to replenish some hurricane
supplies, that I had used up. Gets
us out of the house.   lol

Thankful for praying friends.

Thankful for an encouraging card
from a sweet friend this week.
Thanks Janet

Thankful that our neighbor who
had ordered dirt for his yard, and
had too much, so was sweet to offer
us some, and we actually needed to
get some because the ground where
they took our old septic system out,
a few years ago. to put in the new
one in... had sort of sunken in some,
so we were able to fill it with dirt
so it should look normal again.

Thankful that Heaven is a real
place.....As we heard that the
Mom, of the girls I told you
about some months ago passed
away this week from a battle
with cancer. So sad for them and
their Dad. Thankful she is no
 longer suffering, and that they
and we will see her again. She
was a precious lady.

Thankful that the invitations for
the baby shower I am helping with
in October, came out well, and
that the Mom, who is throwing
the shower was very pleased.

Thankful for unique gifts the Lord
gives us. This morning I was looking
out the window again from my fav
prayer spot, and the window was full
of condensation. I was just  looking
out at the grass which was all wet,
when the sun came out and all of
a sudden my grass came alive.
It looked like someone put Christmas
lights in our grass; red, blue, green
and white sparkled out of our grass
 some even shimmering and looking
 like twinkle lights!
I have never seen anything like that
before.  So thought it was a delight-
ful gift..........

Thankful for what a great job they
did on the Republican National
Convention. It was one of the most
 uplifting, encouraging and Patriotic
conventions I can ever remember.
In fact, I like the way they did the
convention (which I know was due
to covid) but I liked it better as it
enabled us to hear everyones speech
very clearly with out it being drowned
out by applause or cheering, as in
 the past. So appreciated that!!

Thankful for all those (and there were
many in the 4 nights) who have courage-
ously stood up and shared their stories
and said how important this election
is and it is truly a choice between keep-
ing the America we know and love, or
Socialism.....and I so agree with them.
I would even say the choice is really
between Good and Evil.........

Thankful that one of our dearest
friends Son and family, and one of
my Daughters co-workers family
 came thru Hurricane Laura okay.
We have been praying for them.
and Thankful that it wasn't any
where near as bad as they thought
it was gonna be, altho there is still
plenty of damage.

Thankful for the short time we
had with lil darling yesterday.
She is back in school so we don't
get to see her for as long, so we
miss that, but thankful when we
do get to see her.

Thankful for 20% off our bill
and 2 free pcs. of pie at Perkins
restaurant last night.  They were
very slow getting our food out
and the waitress did that even
tho we told her not we
just left her a bigger tip!

Well, that's it for Cozy Place

Glad you could stop by

Have a great weekend.

Keep your light shining brightly,

Love, Hugs and End of
August Blessings,

Thankful Thursday August 20, 2020, nature pictures

Boat In Caribbean

With praise and thanksgiving they sang
to the LORD: “He is good; his love
 toward Israel endures forever.”
Ezra 3:11 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

So how are you doing these days?

We are doing pretty good, trying
to adjust to some things we really
don't want to adjust to....and trying
to accept that some people don't
really understand /care how their
decisions affect others.....but that
is life.......but happy that we did
a lot of cleaning this week so it
is always good to have a nice
 clean home. lol

Pictures today are Nature Pictures
that I have that came from Public
because I haven't taken a lot of
pictures lately.  lol

Barn Owl

So on with my Thankfuls.....

Thankful for being gifted with
2 wonderfully sweet home grown
pineapples from our neighbors.
(the same ones that bring us the
delicious veggie soup)
So delicious and timely, as we
were gonna get some at the store.

Thankful for the cheery and
sweet lil teenager that took my
to go order at Tijuana flats.
She had such a servant heart
 and sounded so adorable.
I was cheered up just talking
to her. She even told my
hubby that she really enjoyed
talking to me, and he said she
said the same thing about you,
and he said she was adorable.
Hubby even put a good word
in for her to her manager and
he said yea, she's new and she
has a lot of energy for sure.
My order was not exactly
right but I was so blessed
talking to her I didn't even
Her light is sure shining!!

Thankful Our Son stopped over
today, and it was nice to have him
all to our selves for a change, as
that is a rare happening.

Thankful for several long phone
chats with our Daughter as well the
last few days.

Thankful for a new Bath and Body
 fragrance refill, called White Tea
and Sage.  Love that it makes the
 guest bath smell so fragrant.

Thankful for a great quote
I heard from a young Pastor,
don't know his name but loved
his quote.

"We may have hell on the outside,
but we have heaven on the inside.
It means to me that know matter
how bad things look in our world
for those that know the Lord, we
have the holy spirit of God
indwelling us and directing us.
Love that!!

#7 and 8
Thankful for trying a new Mom and
Pop type restaurant after church on
Sunday and thankful for getting to
spend some time with friends.
Any thing different is just so nice
right now.

Thankful for our sweet and beautiful
Daughter/Best Friend...her birthday
was this passed Monday.  She is
beautiful inside and out.......and
we are so proud of her.

Thankful for the joyful smile on
the sweet face of my granddaughter
as she went back to school and was
seeing her little friends.
 Precious Pictures, can't believe
she is in 2nd grade already.

Thankful for those who pick up our
refuse once a week.  I was sitting
looking out the window this morning
and praying when our refuse people
came thru out neighborhood.  As I
was watching them, I noticed there
was 2 of them, one on the back of
the truck and the driver, at each stop
the driver would jump out and help
too, and they were working at a very
fast pace, and did cans on both sides
of the street, and it was really a team
effort, and I thought, my heavens they
must be totally exhausted at the end
of the day if they work at that pace
all day long.  So I have even more
appreciation for them than before.

Thankful that we still get to pick
lil darling up after school every
Thursday, and also thankful we
got to hear all about her first
 week of school today.............
Such Grammy Blessings!!

Well, that's it for Cozy Place
this week.............

Thanks for popping in..........

Have a Special weekend.

mid August Blessings,

Thankful Thursday August 13, 2020, Limelight hydrangeas and Our Daughters Dining Room

Let the heavens rejoice,
 let the earth be glad;
let them say among the nations,
“The LORD reigns!”
1 Chronicles 16:31 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope all is going well with you
these days.

Been a fairly good week here, but
have gotten several sad reports this
week that have grieved our hearts, and
makes me thankful to know that the
Lord does reign, and he is still on his
throne and is in control even tho it
doesn't seem like it sometimes.

Pictures today are of limelight
hydrangeas and our Daughters
dining room when we were there
a few weeks ago. You read more
about it below.....

So on with my Thankfuls....

Thankful that we finally came
out of our vacation stupor. We
always go thru a bit of grief after
we go to my daughters....we just
 miss being together so much.
Also think we might have been
fighting off a cold as well.

Thankful that I finally got rid
of a headache I had.  It kept
coming and going, so didn't
take anything for a day or so.
Then finally took tylenol and
it is gone............yay!!

Thankful to be sleeping in my
own bed again.

Thankful that everyone has been
healthy in our family, other than
slight sinus or cold symptoms.

Thankful we are retired with
all the craziness that is going on.

Thankful that we have food in
our fridge and pantry.

Thankful for so many funny
videos we see online, the newest
one is from the Holderness family.
  Just type in Holderness family
on your computer and you can
choose them from utube or face-
book. I have only seen a few but
they were quite funny and you
 will definitely relate with them.

Thankful hubby saw our lil
brown bunny that comes around,
lil darling named him/or her Coco,
and we hadn't seen him for weeks
and feared a hawk or something
might have gotten him, but he
had just moved to the other side
of our woods where we rarely go.
and we saw him in our backyard
again last evening.

Thankful for limelight hydrangeas,
they are just so beautiful. I just
love any hydrangea! but I have
seen them a number of times on
blogs, but my daughter actually
has 4-5 bushes. The last time
we were there they looked like
the bushes were dying but this
time they were full of luscious
blooms, so we brought some in
and made an arrangement for
her table.  These are the pics
you are seeing,  if you hadn't
already guessed.  lol
Trying to figure out if we can
have them here in Florida....
I have seen them at Lowe's
but sometimes that doesn't
mean they will grow well here.

Thankful I got back to card
making this week.  Did a birthday
card for my Daughter, and got
some others ready to go in our
shop soon.

Thankful for our family and

Thankful for those who pray for us
and that we can call on if we or the
family need prayers for some reason.
and also Thankful we can pray for
them as well.  There is nothing like
being able to feel the prayers of
God's people.

Well, that's in for Cozy Place
this week........

Thank You for checking in on
us this shocking that
we are already half way thru

Have a Lovely Weekend,

Love, Hugs and
Mid August Blessings.

Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Morning
Sweet Friends,

Here is the verses for today!

If you declare with your mouth,

“Jesus is Lord,”
and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you

believe and are justified, and it is

with your mouth that you

profess your faith and are saved.
Romans 10:9-10

It is a free gift from God
and it really is that simple.

Scripture Sunday

Have a  Sweetly Blessed Day! Hugs,  Nellie
