For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD
endures forever. Praise the LORD.
Psalm 117:2 NIV
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope you were able to enjoy your
Independence day, but know it was
probably hard with all the awful
4th of July happenings in so many
places.
May the God of all comfort be with
those precious families, that were
involved, and that those wounded
will be completely restored.
It seems EVIL never takes a break,
and wants desperately to ruin life
for everyone it can.
Unfortunately, for now we live in a Fallen
World, but one day, if we know Jesus,
we will all be home with the
Father in Heaven and
as Revelation 21:4 says
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death’ or mourning
or crying or pain, for the old order
of things has passed away.”
Have to say with each day that passes
that sounds better and better and I
am indeed thankful for this
Blessed Hope!
Pictures today are of Flowers.
Thought we could all use some
natural beauty in our lives.
Now on with my Thankfuls..............
Thankful for a fun sleepover with lil darling
and having her all the next day. We got her
some new play food, so we played restaurant
a number of times throughout the day

Thankful our crepe Myrtle is finally blooming
and it looks so pretty. Hoping all the rain doesn't
completely ruin all the new blooms.

Thankful they finally finished my Daughter
and Son-in-loves mudd room the end of last
week, and the cabinets are gorgeous. Only
took 5 months (lol) but they were very patient
as hard as it was.
#4
Thankful for playing a couple of games of
Skipbo, it has been years, it used to be our go
to Summer card game when my Daughter was
out of school for Summer. I remembered we
really liked it, but couldnt remember how
to play it. lol So that was a fun blast from
the past.

Thankful that hubby was able to hook
me up to lil darlings ipod, so now we
can facetime. She sent me a picture
last night cause she and Daddy were
doing fireworks, then she called me
this morning and we talked awhile.
Loving this......So fun!!

Thankful for a fun day at church and
then we decided to come home and
change clothes and we went shopping
for a while, then went to Outback
for an early dinner. We just needed
a change in schedule, and we hadn't
been out for almost a week. So it
was fun..........

Thankful for a quiet yet good day on
4th of July. We just threw some burgers
and hotdogs on the grill, and we were
good to go.....just a lazy day, but we
were fine with that!! lol
#8
Thankful that we finally got outside
early this morning to do some work
in our back yard. Of course, more
to go but ya gotta start somewhere
and the improvement always helps
spur me on.

Also, thankful that I got all my decorating
stuff put away that was cluttering up our
guest bedroom finished, so now we can
start moving things around in there,
and give it a lil change up.

Thankful we got the bed moved around
and in it's new place, and washed all the
bedding. More to do but it will get there.
At our age it's a lot of work!! lol
Reminds me of why we don't do this
too often...........but it is always worth
it in the end.

Thankful for a fun day with lil darling.
We made DIY stickers this week, guite
a few of them as a matter of fact.
If you are looking
for a DIY project for your kids or grand
children you might want to try this, it
is pretty much with what you have on
hand already.
Here's a link to tell you how to do it.
She drew some pictures and we also
printed some pictures from the internet.
We did the first method....I have to tell
you that packing tape can be a fun,
as sarcasm drip all over this page. lol
but it was worth it as it made her a
happy lil girl..........lol

Love all your thankfuls. It is heart breaking what happened here near my town on the 4th. A sweet little boy died and another 18 month old boy is now without his mommy and daddy. This evil and violence is senseless and horrible. My prayers go out to all the families. Just trying to do a traditional celebration parade with family and friends and then this act of violence. We have to pray that God will help our country heal and help those in charge of our laws make better laws regarding guns. Have a nice weekend.

Morning Kris,
ReplyDeleteThanks....
Yes, it is all very heartbreaking....and yes, our country definitely needs healing, for sure,
and prayer is surely the best resource for that.
We read that one of the shooters had already threatened to kill his parents, and had other run ins with the police, and he couldn't get a gun, but his Father helped him get one......That is just so shocking to me!! I have to say I think some of these parents are just not paying attention and some are aiding their kids probably because they can never say NO to them about anything. It is really so crazy!! It's almost like saying NO in our society is just the most devastating thing a parent can do today!! I'll get off my soap box now......lol
Well, have a lovely weekend hon.....
Blessings, Nellie
Wonderful opening! I've often thought after reading the verse that when we are saved, GOD casts all our sins into the depths of the sea and remembers them no more! I pray the same occurs when we receive our new bodies and enter the New Heaven and New Earth that our fallen world and state of being will be remembered no more!!!
