in our home from this year.

So gonna get on with

Thankful for a long chat with my
sweet daughter on Thursday and
 Friday. We have been missing
each other and playing phone tag,
due to our schedules, so as
always nice to catch up.

Thankful for a fun sleepover with
lil Darling on Friday night.  She
discovered about a month ago
that she liked our scrambled eggs
and cinnamon rolls. (Pillsbury's
best).lol  She has always liked
bacon....but she was so cute, as
soon as she woke up she said
can we have bacon, eggs and
those rolls, and she ate quite
a bit........

Thankful for a fun day with the
family on Sunday.

Thankful for some new daytime
face moisturizer from Mary Kay.

of their products in years. It goes
on smooth as silk, and I can tell
already after just using it twice
I am gonna like it.

class at church, and that we have
5 people participating in the teach-
ing now.  Gives great variety and
makes it more interesting!

casserole recipe that my son made,
it was delicious and was a Paula
Dean recipe. It had Ritz crackers
on top.  Really Good Folks!!

Thankful my SIL Susan didn't
lock her keys in the car like we
thought she might have, or she
would have probably had to
call a locksmith.

Thankful that I am not a
superstitious person....since
broke my mirror this week.

Gradiant map affect

Thankful that God spared me from
a very close auto accident today.
Shew, it was a very close call.
Went to change lanes and the man
was in my blind spot I guess, any

directions and had nothing but
a near miss.  PTL

Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday Morning
Sweet Friends,

Here is the scripture for today!

A word fitly spoken is like apples
of gold in settings of silver.

Proverbs 25:11 NKJV

Definition of " fit" according to
Merriam Webster.

Fitting, suitable, proper, apt,

appropriate, befitting, applicable
happy, pretty, good, right, proper
and suitable.

My fav version of this verse:

Timely advice is lovely, like golden
apples in a silver basket.

Thankful Thursday March 22, 2018, Easters Past #3

They took palm branches and went out
to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! ” “Blessed
is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”
John 12:13

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a good week!

We have.....and we have had a cool front
as well, probably the last of the year
I would imagine.  Sad thought for me
since I love the cool air,  course, ours
is not fridged air like some of you have
or I would be ready for it to be over too.

Well, since I am so late gonna just get
 right to today are from
Easters Past again. If you missed
#2 and would like to see it just

Thankful for the fun of helping the sister
of a long time friend make covers for her
porch pillows last Friday.  It has been
a long time since I have done a project
like this with another gal, so it has really
been fun and we work really well together,
and so far, produced one cover, that came
out great, I am happy to report, as it has
been awhile since I have made them.

Thankful for a fun trip to BJ's and to
Panera Bread for sandwiches for lunch
after church.  It was like my first time
to go there, since the last time I went
was about 5 yrs. ago with my daughter.
It was such a visual delight as it is a
bakery as well and has all these delect-
able looking goodies.  We tried one of
their orange scones and it was wonder-
ful.....and a cinnamon braid which was
good but not as good as it looked.........
Hubby gets bagels from there quite often
and brings them home, and they are really
very good, our favs are the Asiago cheese
and the cinnamon crunch bagels. If you
have a Panera near you and have never
tried should try them some
Yum Yum is all I can say!!  lol

Thankful for the reminders last week
of why our prayers are so important
and how they can be life giving.......
(Click here if you want to what I am
talking about.  See # 6, 7, and 12)

Thankful for all of the incredibly
gifted and talented bloggers that I
have the priviledge of viewing
their blogs and seeing their great
ideas and work.  You all never
cease to amaze me with your
creativity.  One such blogger I
would like to give a shout out
to is Rachel at Shades of Blue.
She just had the priviledge of
working with Better Homes
and Gardens magazine.
Read about it here!

Congratulations Rachel and I got
the magazine and can't wait to sit
down and put my feet up with a
cuppa Joe and browse that baby.
All my best wishes to you on this
new endeavor!!

Thankful for round two of cushion
cover making on Monday, and a
fun time of fellowship as well and
one more cover done, 2 more cut out
and 1 pinned, and I finished another
cover on my own Wednesday night,
so that makes 3, and we have to do
another 3 for a total of 6.

Thankful for my sewing machine
and that hubby was able to get it
working when it was giving us
trouble the first day we worked
on the cushion covers. The part

I really don't like about sewing
is machine problems!! uggghh!

Thankful for things like straight
edges, sharp scissors, iron and
ironing boards and straight pins
that help so much when you are

Thankful for my air purifier
that I have pressed into service
due to all the oak pollen that
drives me crazy with allergies.
It really does make quite a

Thankful for all the rain we got
on Monday and Tuesday as a cool
front pushed in, that washed away
 a lot of the pollen.

Thankful for a fun day on Wed.
playing with lil darling as always.

Thankful for my cozy bed at night
after a long day. It has felt especially
good lately as I have been so tired
out from allergies.

Thankful for a fun and interesting
date for lil darling
for Easter, going to see "I can only
Imagine" movie, (which was great by
the way, such a great testimony of
God's grace), talking, encouraging
and praying with a complete stranger,
(a sweet young woman dealing with
a lot of problems, that needed a hug
and someone to listen, she was the
only other person in the theatre
with us.), and having a burger at
Steak and Shake at 1 a.m. because
we were starving since we didn't
have time to eat beforehand!!  So we
got home close to 2 a.m....been a few
years since we have been out that, But well worth the
time, for sure!

Well, that's our week....

Thanks for coming by
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hugs and
Palm Sunday Blessings,

Scripture Sunday....a little late.....

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Here is the scriptures for the day,
just a wee bit late!!  lol

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

 Worship the LORD with gladness;

come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God.

It is he who made us, and we are his ;

we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and

his courts with praise; give thanks to him

 and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love

endures forever; his faithfulness continues

 through all generations.

Psalm 100:1-5

Have a lovely week,

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope your week has been a good one.

Mine not so good physically, not
horrible but not feeling up to par.....
started off with an earache on Monday
morning then sinus issues and just
feeling very overtired, but sinus meds
 and naps made things considerably
better, thankfully!  But will sure be
glad when is goes bye bye....

So that is why you haven't heard
from me this week until now.

Thankful for Tylenol Sinus medication,
that helped make me feel better.

Thankful that we got to have lil darling
for a lil while on Saturday and then all

was out of school for Spring Break.
We had a lot of fun....thanks to Tylenol

Thankful for Google search engine!
Lil darling and I were reading a book that
had a peacock in it with all it's beautiful
tail feathers fanned out, and I was asking her
seen one with it's feather closed and how it
drags on the ground in back of it.  She had not
ever seen that, so we did a google search and
found way more than that......did you know
there are peacocks in all different colors,
from all over the world.  Solid white, orange,
Purple, lime green, green and red, it was
amazing and beautiful to see all of them.

Thankful that my hydrangeas and
Bougainvilla are still alive and made
it through the few freezes that we
had.....wasn't sure if that was gonna
be the case, as they looked pretty

Thankful that hubby has continued
to get birthday cards and well wishes
from many who were not able to
attend his nice of them
to remember him.

Thankful that a long time friend of
ours who had prostrate cancer and
had surgery is doing really well.

Thankful to hear a good report back
about our youth pastor's mother-in-law
Her pathology report showed no
evidence of cancer.............

weather we have been having.  It has
been absolutely gorgeous out for most

up soon,  will have to tell you about
it later..........

us to watch Season 5 of Fixer Upper.
We have so missed it since Roku cut
off HGTV last year.  So that was a
very nice surprise!

church we have been praying for
came thru their surgeries well today.

Thankful Thursday March 8, 2018, Random Easter pics from the past.....

 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Psalm 33:1 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

How are you??  Doing well I hope.....

Maybe starting to do a lil Spring or
 Easter Decorating??

After resting up a few days I have started
to feel like putting out a few Easter things,
but think I will hold off most of my Spring
decorating till after Easter since it is so
early this year...........

Now be clear... I know that Easter is all
about Jesus.....but the lil girl in me loves,
bunnies and eggs and whimsical things,
so indulge me here while I add some
random pics from Easter's past with
no disrespect intended.....

With that said, on with my thankful

Thankful that my hubbies Surprise
70th Birthday party on Saturday
turned out so well, and everyone had
a great time, and thankful that he was
 actually surprised, which was nothing
short of a miracle, as he works from
home most days, so navigating that
while trying to keep it a surprise was
quite difficult and stressful....
All my Mondays were spent all day
doing things toward his book and that is the only full day
he goes into work......and we started
the middle of January, so this is the
surprise you have heard me mention
a few times in some of my posts.

Thankful for all the family and friends
that came to celebrate with him. Some
we had not seen for years, so it was
such a blessing to see them.

Thankful that I had paced myself
well and had pretty much every
thing done house wise, and food
wise, so was able to visit with my
 daughter and son-in-love on Friday
before the party as I just had to
deal with picking up /and setting
up food on the day of the party.

Thankful that my son-in-love
was here to take him to my son's
house to have breakfast and to
watch the new "StarTrek movie"
Hubby loves movies and Star
Trek, and especially enjoyed
it with the guys.....

Thankful for all who participated
in sending me, their well wishes,
sentiments and stories so that we
could make a commenorative
book for him. He really loved
it and was so blessed by it.

Thankful for my daughter who
did the work of typing it all up
to be sent in to have it made
into a book,  and it came out
even better than we expected.
They did a great job, so if you
ever want to make one for some-
body you love we would highly
 recommend using from a Birdie.
Click here to see their site or
type it in yourself @

I get no compensation in any
way for recommending them,
we are just satisfied customers
who want to share their good
work with others.

Thankful that my daughter could
be here and thankful for she and
my daughter-in-love for their
hands on help the day of the

Thankful to the whole family,
as they all contributed in so
 many different and helpful ways.
You were all such a blessing
to me, and I could never have
done it without you.

Thankful for Publix bakery
for their Delicious and pretty
cakes that helped make our
dessert party............

Thankful that his party has
finally arrived and gone cause
as much fun and joy was the
planning, it was equally as
stressful for me, as I am not
good at keeping secrets from
my hubby,  and made quite
a few slips at times and tried
to cover them.....

Thankful for all the love and Joy
that can be poured out through
other people that so blesses our
lives.........that love and Joy was
so evident here on Saturday, and
we were all so blessed by it.....

Thankful that lil darling had
great birthday party on Sunday,
she turned 5 years old. Can hardly
 believe it.....Just wish we could
slow it down somehow!!  lol
They just grow up too fast.......

Well, as I am sure you can tell the
Surprise Birthday party  was the
focus of our week at cozy Place.....

Moving on to Easter now!!  lol

Have a great Friday and Weekend!

Love, Hugs, and

Merry March Blessings,
