Thankful Thursday May 8, 2025, and a Mother's day Table from the past

The Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Psalm 147:11 NIV

Happy Thursday Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you doing well, and

possibly getting ready for Mother's Day!!

Been a good week here.....we were

ecstatic that we got a lil, and I do

mean little rain, but some rain is

better than no rain, since it is so dry,

and not to mention hot as blue blazes.

Thought you might enjoy seeing pics

of a Mother's day table from the past.

Since some of you might be hosting

your Mom, Grandmother or another

Mom for that matter.

On with my Thankfuls....

#1

Thankful for dinner out with our sweet

neighbors that live across the street.

Their Grandson came too, and that

was fun cause we haven't seen him

long enough to have a conversation in

quite awhile.  Sweet kid, course, h3

is 24 now.  Still a kid to us!!  lol

#2

Thankful for a good last day of school

with lil darling. Her last day actually

at school is the today, so we probably

want be seeing her quite as much since

she is getting older and wants to spend

 more time with friends.

#3

Thankful that our new hydrangeas are

doing beautifully. We haven't planted them

yet, as we are trying to slowly get them

acclamated to the time of day when they

start to get full sun.  Which is at noon

and the rest of the day.  So we have sort

of been babysitting them and checking on

them hourly in case them might burn

or need water, which they have needed

a lot of water.  So excited for them to

do well.......

#4

Thankful for a great message from our

Pastor Andrew, who spoke on mental health

and gave a testimony from his own life

I personally think that message is going

to help a lot of people, and hubby and

I both think he was quite brave to give it.

#5

Thankful that our friends/ lunch buddies

were all able to be at church, as they

 were all feeling well enough...........her

husband had a mild stroke some weeks

back and thankfully it didn't do any bad

damage permanently it seems, but made

him very weak, so he is slowly getting

his strength  back,  so we were so

happy to see him feeling much stronger.

#6

Thankful for lunch out with a sweet

Jamaican couple, we have known for

some years but had just never gotten

together before.  We had such a good

time and  found we have quite a few

things in common. It was fun getting

 to know them better

#7

Thankful our Daughter and Son-in-love

had a nice 4 day get away this passed

week,  to a beach in North Carolina.

#8

Thankful we got our "White Wedding

hydrangeas" planted today. We have

been having a lot of overcast weather

and we are expecting some rain in

the next few days according to the

weather, so figured now was the

time.  I named her "Gorgeous", and

hoping she lives up to her name. lol

#9

Thankful for more work in the yard,

making progress, but an ongoing job.  lol

Thankful we may start getting some

rain here soon, we sure need it.

#10

Thankful that we got that much

needed rain, not once but twice on Wed.

Much harder rain the 2nd time later in

the evening. Grass looks so happy this

morning, much greener.

#11

Thankful that "Gorgeous" did great

thru the 2nd rain especially, as I

was a lil concerned it might be too

heavy and break a stem or two.

If you don't know who "Gorgeous"

is check out #8.  lol

#12

Thankful that we have had bunnies

hanging out in our yard multiple

times a day all this week, but only

one at a time, so we thing they both

must be coming out, just at different

times of the day, and we can't tell

one from the other. lol.  Have not seen

them both at the same time since

last weeks post. Even when we go

out there, they don't run away, and

sometimes I talk to them, but they

just sit there unless I try to go

closer and then they will hop off

in the woods. lol  But I think they

feel safe here in our yard evidently,

cause we never chase after them.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week

Have a Happy Mother's Day Weekend

Thanks for spending some time

with us today!

Thankful Thursday May 1st, 2025, Happy May and Happy National Day of Prayer

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.                          1 Timothy 2:1-2

Welcome to May....Sweet Friends,

Can't believe we are entering May but

Very excited that this is the National

Day of Prayer for our nation.

I totally believe in prayer and

that  God hears every prayer even

when it doesn't seem like it or

we don't get an answer right away.

Hope you are gonna participate in

it, either at home or at church.

Your prayers are important to

our nation, for sure.  Every year

I like to watch what happens after

the National day of prayer and you

can see good things happening for

months afterwards, and it makes

me wish we had it more than once

a year. Course, we can have those

results still..... if we are all

committed to pray for our leaders

and nation daily ourselves!!

On with my Thankfuls.....

#1 and 2

I am thankful for the national day

of prayer every year, and I am

thankful for the gift of prayer

and what a blessing it is....and the

peace that it brings to my life

and the lives of others.

#3

I am thankful for our church that we

have been a part of for almost 45 + years,

and all the churches across our country

and in other countries across the globe.

#4

I am thankful first and foremost for

The Father, His  Son, Jesus and Holy Spirit

who is the reason for the church,  prayer

and the Bible in the first place.

#5

Thankful for the Bible and the truth,

teachings and guidance that it brings to

our lives every time we read or hear it.

#6

Thankful for our President and Vice

President and their families and

 administration.  Thankful too,  for

what  great leaders they are and that they

take their job of protecting the Constitution

and the American People seriously, as well,

as trying to keep peace in the world.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no  authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” – Romans 13:1

#7
Thankful for the Presidential pray team,
that helps us to know what and who to pray
for on a daily basis, as our country needs
all the prayers it can get.

the Presidential pray Team

#8

Thankful for grocery stores,

 especially Publix, Walmart neighborhood,

 and Aldi.........Some people really disdain

going there, but I have always enjoyed

going grocery shopping, if I am not having

to rush. That tends to take the fun out

 of it for me, anyway!

#9

Thankful hubby found those new

Wedding flower hydrangeas online

today and they were a really good

price, so we were able to order

2 and get free shipping.  They

will arrive on Wed., so hoping

they look good! They don't have

them at any of the nurseries in our

area so you have to order them if

you want them.

Note: they arrived today, and they look

pretty good just a lil bit wilty, but it was

hot in that box I am sure.  So we are

gonna baby them and ease them into

the potting and the sun, so as not to

shock them too much. Can't wait

to see them bloom which will be

a bit I would imagine.

These aren't them, but just another one like them.

#10

Thankful we were able to attend

 the installation service for our

Two  Co- Pastors  It was a really

a lovely service and everyone

loves them both so much.  The Lord

has really blessed our church with

these Two Godly young men ( they

are in their early 40's) but young

to us!  lol    Also with their lovely

wives, and family.  All of their

 children are musically inclined, which

is so amazing. One Pastor has three

children, the other has five children.

What a blessing they all are!!

#11

Thankful that I made Chicken salad

last week, and it was so great to just

have it in the fridge for snacking.

So decided I am gonna do this weekly

and just rotate between, Chicken,

Ham, Tuna and Egg salad. It was

really so handy and made for a great

go to,  that made us happy.  lol

Note:  Not too crazy about the

ham salad, so will probably

take that off the rotation.  lol

#12

Thankful that I was able to get a

Prayer checklist for America from

the Presidential prayer team for

today.  If you wish to get one you

can go to the above address on #7

and should be able to find one.

#13

Thankful that we saw 2 bunnies in our

backyard yesterday morning, and 2 squirrels

all out and having breakfast and running

around.  So Cute!!  We love that we have

woods around us, cause we so love

and enjoy the wildlife.

Not them, but looks like them!!  lol

Well, that is it for Cozy Place this week.

This is the National Day of Prayer Edition.

Thank You for coming by,

always happy to know you were here.

Early May Blessings,

Thankful Thursday April 24, 2025, Our Easter Table 2025

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  1 Peter 1:3

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you all had a lovely Easter

with family and or friends/loved ones.

We sure did....

I am thankful I am feeling better

this morning, cause we worked out

side yesterday and last night my

back was really smarting up in my

middle back, which has never happened

before, and it hurt just to breathe, but

it is almost normal this morning.

Thank the Lord.  Have to say it is

really a beautiful day out too.

So hope it is like that where you

live as well.

Pictures today are of our Easter

Table this year, 2025.  Have to

say I am infatuated with this table

cloth I found on accident. I actually

bought it and others cause they were

a great deal and I thought I might

be able to use them for curtains, but

much to my dismay and time pressure

I wasn't sure they would work and

we were soon leaving for my daughters

and didn't want to get stuck with

them as they weren't all the same size,

so decided to take them back, and I

was bummed, but hubby said why

don't you just keep one and use it

for the table, which was a great idea.

Now on with my Thankfuls..................

#1

Thankful for a fun night out, and being able

to get the last of the things we need for Easter

dinner and a few things for lil darling, that

we had completely forgotten about with all

the other preparations and happenings.

Thankful we remembered before

 it was too late.

#2

Thankful for another good school day.

It was great to see lil darling as it

has been a couple of weeks, cause she

was off for a week having fun.

#3

Thankful all the food is prepared and

ready to stick in the oven tomorrow.

#4

Thankful lil darlings Easter Bag is

done, and I did a bowl of Easter

candy for the rest of us.

#5

Thankful I just finished steaming the

tablecloth I haven't used before, but

is so beautiful, so excited about how

the table will look.

#6

Thankful table is all set and ready, and

I can rest now, as I am whipped.  lol

  But a good whipped.

#7

Thankful for a lovely Easter Service

and lovely and fun day with our family.

Good food, Good fellowship and fun times.

Unfortunately, Dee and Jerry couldn't be

here, but we did text and talk with them.

They had a good day at home as well.

#8

Thankful that I got to meet our new

neighbors, hubby had already met them

when he was out mowing.  They are

a lovely young couple that moved up

from South Florida, and they are

originally from Ecuador.  Had a very

enjoyable time talking with them, and

think we might get together soon.

#9

Thankful that we have nothing that

we had to do today (Monday)

as I am still tired from this last

week of activity.  So I am only

doing what is needed today.  lol

#10

Thankful that I saw in Southern living

magazine that they have a new variety of

hydrangeas that are "sun loving".  They

 are called "White Wedding hydrangeas".

I love any type of hydrangeas but have

had no luck growing them because they

all like morning sun, and never had

a good spot to put them, so unfortunately,

they all died. So think we are gonna

try some of these, if we can locate them.

#11

Thankful we got out and worked in

the yard some trying to clean up some

in the area's where they took the trees

down, cause some stuff got squashed

unfortunately.  Looking better already,

more to go tho......lol

Worked outside again this morning

trimming bushes and accomplished

quite a bit more than we expected

just in another area of the front yard.

Will get back to the other area next

week hopefully.

#12

Thankful that one of our friends

Grandson who is not yet, two yrs.

old came thru an endoscopy and

partial colonoscopy well, and they

saw no problems, but did biopsy

something they don't think will be

anything, but had to do the biopsy.

So if you feel so led, please

 pray that comes back negative.
