Happy Monday Sweet Peas,
Sure hope you had a Wonderful
Thanksgiving!!
Ours was great......full of all the people, food and fun
that we enjoy the most!!
I had prepared all these pics for a centerpiece Wednesday
post for last week, but never got to finish, so just decided
to use it today as the last shades of Fall!!
(This was dinner with Dee and us)
We are very happy to have gotten our garage all
straightened up (it was in dire need, believe me)
so we have now gotten the Christmas stuff down,
now I am just trying to decide when to start.

For some reason I am not ready to take the Fall stuff
down yet. I may just wait till Thursday, because I have
a Drs. appt. tomorrow, and think we are counseling Wed.
nite, and then a birthday dinner for Scotts girlfriend
on Sunday!
Well, Guess what???
She is not just a girlfriend anymore,
Saturday she became a fiancee!!

Saturday she became a fiancee!!
We are so excited about it............
She is such a sweetheart..... just lovely inside
and out, she treats him so well, and they
are just so good together, their is such unity
between them already, it's great!!
We feel she is the girl we have prayed for and
envisioned him with all these years!!

Looks like they will wed maybe the end of May.

Scott and Megan some weeks back.)
Scott and Megan some weeks back.)
I have been working on Christmas presents, and we
watched a movie over the weekend. It was okay,
but nothing to write home about!!
We did not have the traditional Thanksgiving fare.
We had
Party chicken and rice pilaf
mashed potatoes and gravy
brocoli casserole
green bean casserole
corn
spinach bites
cranberry sauce
wholegrain rolls
Iced Tea/ rootbeer
(Carb heaven!!)
Which is bad for us............
and for dessert
Pumpkin pie (my 1st fav)
and Chocolate pecan pie ( my 2nd fav)
and don't forget the coffee!! lol
Everyone pitched in and brought something
so it made it much easier!
Many hands makes the work light as the
old saying goes!!
Have you ever heard of a game called
Cranium???
Well...........we played that, it is a lot of
fun , and you do a lot of different things,
like draw, sculpt, hum or sing and answer
multiple choice questions, usually not the
same thing twice. Pretty fun game!!
We have been seeing some very neat
answers to prayer this week that we
are very excited about as well.
All in all it has been a very good 4-5 days,
I have not complaints at all!!
Hope this finds you well and happily decorating
your lil hearts out for Christmas!!
I have to get on the ball myself!! lol
Well, Sweet Peas,
Have a Great Week Ahead!!
Thanks for stopping by,
and for all those nice comments you leave!!
Blessings and hugs!!

It's so great to be more than just a blogger friend! To see all of these beautiful table scapes in person really is so much more pretty! Our Thanksgiving Dinner was scrump-dilly-umptious! (spelling-close enough!)
ReplyDeleteWedding bells will soon be ringing! Congratulations, Scott and Megan!
Love to you all,
Susie
Congratulations!! A new fiancee - how special! Will certainly look forward to hearing all about the wedding plans:)
ReplyDeleteFunny that you just aren't ready to take down the fall things. I was so ready and got everything taken down quite quickly. NOW, I am forced to put some snowmen in its empty place..but that I am not as ready for. But I did work on it today. It seems to be harder with the nest empty??!
We may even go get our tree this evening. This is rather early for us - but the weather forecast is not that great for the rest of the week and, well, why not now?? We are just getting wild and crazy in our older years! Ha.
Happy Monday, friend. Loved your tables - as always.
Jennifer

ReplyDeleteI did indulge too on Thanksgiving goodies but I was back on ther treadmill this morning.
Have a great week!

I will have all my kiddies together for my birthday. Isn't that the best thing?? That has not happened in forever and now this time my kiddies includes grandchildren. Yay!!!

My birthday is Dec 10. So that means my trip to Florida is coming up soon. Yay!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a new daughter-in-love to be!!!! My two d-i-l's are also answers to our prayers...God has been so gracious to send the perfect mates for our two sons...
ReplyDeleteOur SC family just left yesterday so I have yet to take down Thanksgiving/fall decor. Will get at it later in the week also.
What? No turkey??? so one got away! LOL
I am SO rejoicing with y'all on the engagement!!! That is fabulous news!!! And now the wedding planning begins!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving menu sounds delicious. Actually, our family prefers chicken to turkey, and we had bought 2 roasting hens, but since hubby's boss gave the employees fresh turkeys, we ended up with turkey. But our preference is ALWAYS chicken.
And about the carb heaven...I once read in a health book that it's what you do most of the time that really counts. His point was if you eat healthy 80% of the time, then don't worry about the 20% of unhealthy eating. However, on the other hand, if one eats junk 80% of the time, then they can't expect their 20% of good eating to undo the damage from their bad eating. And y'all eat so well over 80% of the time, so I'm sure one little splurge every now and then won't hurt.
Anyhow, hope all is well.
Love and hugs,
Patti
hey Cutie,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and yours!
What a wonderful gift for Scott...I'm sure she is precious. We had a traditional Thanksgiving celebration with friends in Miami and then a fun trip to the Keys. I was thinking of you!
((HUGS))
Hi Nellie, Congrats to Scott and Megan!!! I enjoyed reading about your Thanksgiving Day. We traveled from Iowa to Houston, TX (16 hours each way) for the week of Thanksgiving to visit our daughter and son-in-law. We had a traditional dinner but more important than that, we don't get to see them all that frequently so that was the real treat! Loved the 80 degre weather too! Today it was only 23 degrees with a wind that was fierce!!!
