How are you today??

  Doing well,  I hope. Been a good, yet uneventful week here, which is just fine

 with us. 

Pictures today are of a Father's Day table from the past.  I am starting to think about that now, since it will be here before we know it!!

On with my Thankfuls......

Thankful for a nice evening out with 

 our  Son and lil darling, looking 

around in Hobby Lobby and a new 

store we had never been in yet,

 and going to dinner afterwards

 and then back to their house for

 dessert.  Fun Evening and

always good to be with them.

Thankful for the new store we visited.

  It is called "Pop Shelf".  I really

 enjoyed it and can't wait to go again,

 as we didn't get to stay long, cause we

were all hungry.  They are sort of

 like a "Five below" store,  they have a

 lil bit of everything, but some of

their prices are higher. I thought

 they had a lot of cute things.

Thankful that even tho I mashed my

finger and it hurt and bled, it could

have been much worse if I had totally

smashed it, and it is feeling normal

cause I have it wrapped in a bandaid,

just to protect it.

thankful that we got our porch all

cleaned up. Which was our project

for the week.  Love completing a

project, gives us a real feeling of

accomplishment.  lol

thankful for  a couple of long conversations with my girl this week.

Thankful she will be coming to visit

 soon, we are so looking forward to

that as always.

All those glasses in the centerpiece

had pics of our family from a

recent beach trip we had taken.

thankful for a good day at church,

our new Pastors are captivating,

when they preach you can hardly

hear a pin drop, everyone is 

listening so intently.

Thankful we were able to go out

to lunch with our lunch buddies

finally. Had a  very nice time 

with them.

Thankful that we found out that

something very important was

 missing through another situation

 that happened, so we were able to

 replace it before it was needed.

Could have caused a lot of stress

at a later time.

thankful for Potato salad, My Mom's recipe!!  Yum!  Haven't made it in ages

 and decided today was the day, and can't

 even begin to say how much I enjoyed 

it and there is leftovers for 

tomorrow as well.  Yay!!

Thankful and excited that 

Gorgeous and Beautiful

are starting to open their

blooms, so we have these tiny

lil flowers that will make

up a whole hydrangea soon.

Thankful that we saw our bunny (one or both) at different times this

week, and we have had a beautiful red cardinal taking  baths in our bird

bath about 3 times this week.  Love it! 

 and nice cause you can actually see him

 well, the other birds tend to just

 blend in with the scenery and

the bird bath.  lol

Thankful Thursday May 22, 2025, and pics of bunnies

Let everything that has breathe praise the Lord.

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you are having a good week.

Our's has been good, but we are sort

of missing our bunnies. Course, that

happens every time we get used to having

then around so much...I guess for safety

 reasons they move on to somewhere else.

We are always hoping that something

hasn't gotten them, like a hawk or cat.

Then months down the road they show

up again, and we are always happy

to know they are still alive, course,

who knows if they are the same bunny 

or not, but we like to think  they are

anyway!!  lol

Pictures today are in honor of our brown 

bunnies. lol  They are just so cute, thought 

you would enjoy them too, and it is still

Now on with my Thankfuls....

Thankful I got all my Easter Decor packed away,

so now to replace with other spring things.  Was

gonna just leave it up until Summer, but need to

get our spare/guest room straightened up, as

 hopefully our Daughter is gonna get to come

 not once but twice in June for a few days.

 So we are very excited about that...........

Thankful for a lovely baby shower I attended

on Saturday.  Was for a young lady who

grew up in our church but lives in Kentucky

now, but was a part of our Pastorate family

(Her hubby was our media Pastor for while)

and her family still lives here, so her Mom 

and friends hosted.  Fun time...and she

got lots and lots of wonderful gifts for

baby #3, which is a girl this time!!  lol

#3 and 4

Thankful for a fun night out for hubby 

and I,  went to hobby lobby and got 

40-50% off everything we bought, so

was quite happy and thankful about that.

 Then on to fresh market trying to get some

 more almond or raspberry pillow cookies but

they didn't have any, POO! but we did

get another raspberry dessert that was

yummy!!  Then out to din din....

Thankful for all the kind and considerate

people I ran into yesterday, many of course

were at the baby shower, but a few were

at the grocery store. We tried to let some

one go before us cause we had more than

they did, and they were like oh No, we are

fine, we have plenty of time, and were

just so sweet and friendly, and the check

out girl and bagger were really sweet too,

then in the parking lot I was gonna take

the basket back up to the store, and a

couple walking by said hey, we will

take that cart for you, and we went

to dinner everyone in the restaurant were

just as pleasant as can be......I was

just reminded of how just the simplest

things make our world a brighter and

lighter place..........Love it

Thankful for my 16th blogaversary. It was

 actually on May 4th, but I forgot.  lol

 I am truly thankful for the privilege and

 blessing of blogging all these years and

 so very thankful for the blog friends and 

readers that visit my blog daily and that

I am able to interact with. I have learned

 a great deal through this experience myself, 

and it has been such a positive and 

encouraging force for these last 16 yrs.

and I hope that has been your experience

as a friend, follower and/or reader,

 and as a blogger yourself.  Here is

to 16 more years...........

Thankful for "lil Caesar,s" crazy puffs.

They are like a lil muffin pizza and

they are so delicious. Haven't had

then for awhile, and so enjoyed them.

Thankful that I finally finished refreshing

our decor after taking down the Easter

things, everything is put away and 

dusting done, now hubby just has to

 vacuum. So decor wise we are set until 

Fall.......unless I get ambitious and

decide to refresh a room for a Beachy

look in a few months. Could happen but

not planning on it.....lol

NOTE:  House all clean.  Love it!!

Thankful for "Dry Bar Comedy" they hav

so many funny, yet clean content comedians.

Need a good laugh, if you can't find them

on TV, you should be able to find them

on u-tube.  Hilarious!

Thankful that even tho Beautiful was

attacked by something, it didn't completely

wreck her, but did break off 3 stems

right in the front. We think it must

have been the dog next door possibly.

No digging and didn't look like any

thing was eating it, but looks like a

dog might have just briskly poked his

head in it... maybe. 

Note, Just in case you are new to my

blog or forgot "Beautiful" is our new white 

wedding hydrangea we planted recently.

We also have "Gorgeous" and she is

doing fine, thankfully.

Thankful to see our First Lady Melania,

involved in pushing for a new law that

is very important. "The Take it down" law.

Because some people have been bullied and

humiliated by someone putting up false 

pictures with their faces on them on social

media, but they could not get them removed

 before, but now, hopefully, this should help

 with that. Course, my explanation probably

 doesn't even begin to cover it all..............

Thankful for a really great movie

we watched on "Up Faith and Family"

called "Hearts on Fire".  If you like

movies with a good ending you will

enjoy this.

Pictures today are of Mother's Day flowers.

I love tulips,  I think because they are like me,

they have a mind of their own.  I like to get

flowers and arrange them myself.

 and the ones below about 5 days later.

Thankful for a fun night out running errands

and shopping, then dinner at Cracker Barrel.

Haven't been there for awhile, so it was very

enjoyable.

Thankful for "Almond Pillow Cookies" that we

found at "Fresh Market".  If you like the flavor

of almond, you will love them, they are so delish.

Thankful for all of the much needed rain we

have had in the past week.  Our grass looks

amazing compared to what it looked like before

even tho the sprinklers were watering. Nothing

like God's special rain water!!

Thankful that we decided to make cornbread

dressing like we would do for Turkey, to go 

with our rotisserie chicken. It was so delicious,

if I do say so myself.  lol.

#5 and 6

Thankful for a good day at church and a great

Mother's Day spent with my Hubby and our Son.

It was nice to have Scott all to ourselves as it

is a rare blessing, and we enjoy it so much.

 It was a day of good food, good conversation 

and a fun games of UNO.  lol

And

 Thankful for all the ways my Hubby, Son,

 Daughter and Son-in-love spoiled me. They

are the best...........

Thankful for all the lovely Mother's Day cards

and thoughtful gifts and flowers. Loving these

 pink and yellow tulips and yellow Mums. I love 

Mums too, not only are they pretty, but they remind

 me of a nice remembrance of my not so nice, 

maternal  Grandmother, who lived with us.

 She always loved Mums, and when she would get

 them for Easter or Mother's day, she would be

 tickled pink, and afterwards she would plant them

 along side our house, and when they bloomed

 they always made our drab yard looks so pretty.

Thankful for the sweet feedback we got from

sending out Mother's day cards by e-mail to

 friends and many in our congregation. 

Such a blessing to know that our reason for

 sending them was a mission accomplished

Thankful for our Air conditioning service

and the fellow who comes out, such a nice

guy and he just gave us a very cool tip for

ways to kill germs in our A/C system.

Our A/C is all serviced and will hopefully

 be good all year long now.

Thankful that are White wedding hydrangeas are

 continuing to do well,  and both are starting to get

 buds of flowers to come,  we can hardly wait 

to see them bloom.

Thankful for a nice long chat with my Daughter 

twice this week. We have to best time sharing 

all sorts of things, that we like, enjoy or

 are learning..........

Thankful for another nice long chat with a friend 

that I haven't seen or talked to in months. 

 Great to catch up, as she has a lot going on; 

 A Daughter graduating in a few weeks, 

and another Daughter who lives about

4 hrs. away now, and has all (3) of her

 granchildren, and one was just born in april 

will be moving much farther away........

to California.  Tough move!!

Thankful we finally got our other

 "White Wedding hydrangea"

 planted in the ground this morning. 

 We named her "Beautiful"

 and again hope she lives up to her name. 

 Which I totally think they both will.....

Gorgeous is looking great (she is in a big pot)

out in front of the house and "Beautiful"

Is planted on the side of the house, and they

both have quite a few buds that are slowly

 growing so.... hopefully maybe we will have

 some actual flowers in a few weeks maybe.
