Fall Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you are enjoying some Fall weather by now, we

 are gonna have some this weekend, course, it is only

 temporary but that's okay we will take it....it is the

 promise of Fall for us, which will probably come later

 in October if it is like normal. Course don't

 remember us getting a cold snap this soon, so maybe it

 will be earlier this year!!  That would be great.......

At any rate, hope you are enjoying some Fall weather

 and Fall activities that you and yours can enjoy,

Thankful for Beauty Berries. I have been out

picking them this morning cause I love to 

decorate my guest bath with them in the

Fall, and it looks so pretty.  They are the

most gorgeous shade of purple I have 

ever seen............

Can you tell I really like Beauty Berries lol

They do dry out after awhile and then

I just replace them with more.

Thankful we got to see lil darling today.  

She helped me finish up the Fall decorating

in the living room. That child is growing

like a weed, can not believe how tall she

is getting.

Thankful I am just about all done with

my decorating, but then realized I still

need to do a few things in the kitchen.

Note:  I am offically all done as of

Saturday.  Quite happy about that.  lol

Thankful for a new Season of a series

we saw last year that we really liked.

It is called " Crossroads Springs" and

we found it on Pureflix.

Thankful for a nice evening with our Son

and lil darling having conversation, dinner

and watching and laughing at dry bar comedy.

Thankful lil darling had a good time skating

with a friend from school, as the skating

ring is very close to their new home.

purpose of keeping us from worrying over

all the world issues. Just signed up, and

can't wait to get the first one. We love

this Pastor he is from Tennessee and we

watch him every Sunday evening.

Thankful that today it is officially Fall and 

the best part is our temps here in Florida

are starting to cool off some. This coming

weekend we are gonna be in the low to mid

60's, course, it only lasts until around

11o'clock but hey, we will take it.  lol

Thankful I made a Chicken Dish this week

that I haven't made for awhile, called 

"Country French Chicken", and we really

enjoyed it.

I actually came up with the recipe because I used to buy

 a jar of sauce called "Chicken tonight", and we all

 loved it.  Just had to throw in some chicken breasts

 and pour the sauce over them and cook an hour, and I

 would serve it with some yellow rice, and a vegetable

 and it was easy and delicious. So could never find it

 anywhere any more, so decided to try and make my

 own, and we love it just the same.

Thankful for a show that has been on TV

for years now. Called "Better Together"

I used to watch it all the time, but when

they went to an hour, I got out of the

habit of watching it, but have found out

I can watch it on utube anytime I want,

so just started back and it was such a

blessing, and I realized just how much

I have missed it........So glad to be back

watching it again.

Thankful our Daughter and Son-in-love

had a lil getaway this passed week, just

to have a break from all the construction

that is going on.

Monday Manna

Morning  Sweet Friends,

Haven't done a Monday Manna

post in awhile, mainly because

of time restraints, but had these

thoughts come this morning, so

thought it would be a good Monday Manna post and reminder for me

as well as others.

Is anyone else feeling like you

 can't trust anything anymore?? 

 What they are putting in our food or not putting in our food that they say they are?? Course, that is just one thing, among what seems like a jillion other things, but Hubby and I were talking about the food thing just the other day, and it occurred to me that why do you think the Lord tells you to pray about everything???

 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 niv

Cause He already knows about all this and so many other irrational crazy things that are

 going on these days.

So my encouragement to myself

 and to all of you who are reading...

Is start praying about everything, 

 just like he says. If you haven't

been, then start..., it takes practice

but if you realize the seriousness

of it all, it is crucial to just get started.....

Make a goal for yourself,

start with praying about  2 or 3

 things a day and then keep adding

 to the list, as it will become

a good habit...........it might even

help to intentionally write them.

Then we can relax, and have the 

Peace he promises cause we know

 HE has got this all too.  

You do not have because you do not ask God.  When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

James 4:2-3 niv

I pray about a lot of things,

 but I think as we navigate

 this life, I think he is truly

trying to teach all of us to pray without ceasing, and just like

giving thanks I think it is more 

for our benefit than we can ever imagine, and it is no longer an option -

 it is a very necessary survival skill in our world today!!

 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 niv

It is my hope that this will help

someone today to be less stressed

and more peaceful. It sure helps

to keep me out of the ditch....

Thankful Thursday September 17, 2026, and Fall decorating in the family room

Hope your week has been a good one.  

Been a good one here,  just a little busier than usual, with Fall decorating, menu making, and hubby having 2 Dr. visits along with  grocery shopping, but all were

 good things!! Can you believe we

are in mid September already??

Crazy!! It will officially be

Fall next week...........weeee!!

Thankful to get or family room all done up for Fall. Always love the change of Season, hot outside but 

 Fall inside...........lol  

Still working on the dining and

living room. Hopefully will get

it wrapped up soon.

Thankful for our wonderful Christian radio station Z-88, always so uplifting, and the Lord brings the songs to mind during the night when the enemy tries to bring me worrisome or scary thoughts.

Thankful for the whole armor of God we have been putting it on nightly for months now, and I recently realized those songs coming in the night were Gods promise to us about putting on the full armor of God, cause they

totally distract me from the thoughts and I can sing every word in my mind, and the next day I can't even remember the tune or the words,

unless I hear them on Z-88!  lol

Thankful they came back and did the stucco on our  Son's house

and they did a great job.  Course, it will look much better once

they get the shutters back on and

 get it painted, that might be

a while yet.  He already put 

new blinds up and they look great.

Lil darling painted this  Sunflower and pumpkin picture a few years back.   She and her Dad did a painting class.  Maybe I am prejudiced a wee bit, but think it looks as good as Van Gogh's  Sunflower picture.

Thankful for the mid-term convention. Think it was a new

but great idea, and reminder, for 

folks to get out and vote.  Our votes

really do matter.....

Thankful to talk with my friend who

had the esophageal issue some months

back, and then took a fall and broke

her ribs after she was home from the

hospital. Her ribs seem to be healing

well, as is the rest of her body.  PTL

     Just need a few logs now.  lol

Thankful I was able to find an old recipe from a friend (the friend in #6 of my thankfuls) for Beef Enchiladas that are easy to make.  Had them for din din tonight, and they were as good as I remembered.

Thankful that my Daughter and I

are both feeling better, think we

sort of caught a lil bit of what

lil darling had last week.

Thankful for Elderberry gummies, that boost your immune system, they also have Vit. A,C D,E and zinc. 

They really help me fight off things or makes them pass sooner.

Thankful for a sweet blogger

friend who is Hispanic and leaves kind comments from time to time, and Thankful for google translators so I can understand and respond back to her as well. 

 Love that!

Thankful for our first visit to our Son's house to just visit, and see what he's been up to.... the house is looking homier all the time. He keeps a tidy home as well, and he is still unpacking, along with his normal work. Thankful too, we are all out from under the time pressure for getting things

 done, now that he has moved in,

we can all relax a bit.

Thankful to wake up to one of the sweetest, caring and most precious texts from a younger friend, that included a lovely pray for my hubby as he is going for an echocardiogram today for something they have been watching for awhile.  .So we are believing for a good outcome.

Test all done, just waiting on

results now.  Hopefully within

the week.

How are things at your house??

Things at our house are quite messy, as we got the Fall stuff out and it is all over the dining room table, but hopefully soon will be scattered about the house in a beautiful way. I would imagine a few of you are having the same situation.  lol

So happy creating beauty in your home!!

   Pictures today are of Whimsical Beach Houses.  Since we are still officially in the last days of  Summer,  thought these lil beach houses were so adorably cute, and that they would be fun!!

Thankful for a new milk we found awhile back that has less sugar, and more protein.  It is called "Fair Life" and it is lactose free as well.

Then the last time hubby went to Aldi,  they have a milk that is about the same, with less sugar and more protein and is lactose free as well.  It is an Aldi product, and it is called "Friendly Farms" brand.  Hoping he will be able to find it there again, cause they didn't  carry it before,  so we think it is a new product.  Anywho......... I love milk....and I love the taste of the new milk brand and I drink quite a bit of it daily, and can rarely ever have a cookie without it, and....

I also found by looking for what one can drink for electrolytes online and it gave other options but  Milk was one of them, which is good to know, as I should never have that issue..........lol

Thankful our company got here, and back home safe and sound. It was our Daughter and Son-in-love and Grandson Dog, Bentley.

Thankful that we all went down one of the days to help our  Son and lil darling get settled in a lil bit more.

Thankful as always for the good to great  time we had and just  the joy of all of us being and working together.  Lil darling was not feeling the greatest as she had caught a cold,  but we  still managed to get her room finished up. and lots of other lose ends got done as well, so that he can move on to other tasks now.

Thankful that "Taco Night" has been a big hit with all of us, so once again, we did that, and it was enjoyed by all. Also makes for an easy din din   that we can easily prepare in the morning so that when we all come home starving it doesn't take long till we can eat.

Thankful that our  Son in Love was such a help with moving some heavy things that needed to be moved, less wear and tear on hubby.  He too, is a very hard worker like my hubby and  Son,  so he fits in our family perfectly.

Thankful to be starting my Fall decorating.  You know how I love and enjoy that,  but have to say not getting too far yet.  Am hung up with what to do with part of my mantle.  lol

Thankful I was in our house when I saw a black snake outside my office window. I take that scripture about the woman having enmity with the snake veryyyy seriously.......Lol

Thankful that hubby and our Son were able to get the concrete shutters removed from his house in one piece, as they are coming tomorrow to put in his new bay windows.  So that is an answer to many prayers, as we were concerned it would ruin the looks of the house outside if we couldn't save them, or cost a lot to have it done correctly. Now we just have to pray they can get them back on, as they are very heavy to handle even for 2 people.  So they have to develop a strategy for reinstall.

Thankful the new bay windows were installed and they look amazing, and they did a really great job, and there were no other issues like wood rot or leaks, so we were all happy about that. He also has a lovely view as well.  They do have to come back to finish stucco on the outside of the house next week, and they have to put the shutters back on as well.  But from the inside they look sooo good, and let in a lot of light and also keep the heat out as well.

Thankful they hubby and Son were able to get a  minor electrical issue fixed, so everything is working well now.

Thankful for all the prayers that the Lord has answered to do with this house.  It has truly been amazing to watch,  There is still things that need to be done, but at least he/we can take a breather now because we aren't under time constraints any longer. I think it is probably much needed.
