Thankful Thursday Sept. 22, 2021, and Nature Pictures

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds ; rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.   Psalm 68:4 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a good and productive

week, cause we had a good week, but haven't

had a very productive somebody

had to do it.............don't know if we are

trying to fight off a bug or what but

we have both been so exhausted this week.

So have just taken it easy most of the

week until Thursday when we got our

play mate back (lil darling).  lol

I decided to do some nature pictures for todays post.

All pictures are from

Sorry some of the pics are just a tad blurry,

 I guess from enlarging them.

Thankful my Son and lil darling made it to SC and back safe and sound.  They went to visit our Daughter/his Sister and her hubby for about 4 1/2 days.

Thankful for a new bench we got for our back yard, it is so cute I almost want to keep it in the house. We haven't put it outside yet cause of all the rain.

Thankful for when everything is freshly

cleaned in the house all at once, like now,

Love that!!

Thankful that hubby was able to fix a

plumbing problem for my Sister-in-law

that was fairly easy, so she didn't have

to call a plumber and spend a lot of $$.

Thankful for an old friend that sent us a picture of he and his former wife and us, from when we were really young. Think I might have been like 22-23 maybe.  Such a sweet blast from the past.............and how did I get to 69 so

Thankful that our dear friend who broke both legs went on their family reunion trip, and had a good time, and things went pretty well, so was a good time had by all.  She had a lot to navigate so that is a real praise of God's goodness to her, hubby and their family!

Thankful for a fun visit with our neighbors

on Friday night.

Thankful to hear that a lovely young couple from our church, who used to be in our young married class, and who are in the process of becoming missionaries to France, got their Visas this week and will be leaving for language school in France soon.  (Definitely an answer to prayer).

Congratulations Ross and Ashlee.....

Thankful that our Son and Lil darling

had a great time with our Daughter

Dee and hubby Jerry.  Just love when

they are able to get together, or all

of us can be together.

Thankful for what a gloriously

beautiful day it is today since we have

been having sooo much rain lately.

Note:  Course, it did wind up raining

later in the

Thankful for a great day with lil darling on

Thursday, We had a great time talking about

her adventures in South Carolina with her

Dad, Aunt Deena, and Uncle Jerry.  Also,

playing school, and a matching game, and

going to that new ice cream place called

Jeremiahs. Lil darling loves ice cream!

Thankful for a really old game we still have

from when our kids were little, called "The

Ungame".  The point of the game is to be

a conversation starter,  so that give you all

sorts of questions to answer so you can

have meaningful conversations with your

family.  We did it with lil darling yester-

day and we really had a lot of fun and

good short conversations. She seemed to

really like hearing some of her grand-

parents most embarrassing moments, or

what caused us to be frustrated or scared

and so forth. Probably because kids her age

think us adults have it all together.  lol

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week.

Glad you could stop in....
have a great weekend,

Love, Hugs, and End of July

Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday

Sweet Friends,

Here are the verses for today!

There are six things the LORD hates,

seven that are detestable to him:

haughty eyes,

a lying tongue,

hands that shed innocent blood,

a heart that devises wicked schemes,

feet that are quick to rush into evil,

a false witness who pour our lies, and

a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Psalm 6:16-19 NIV

Thankful Thursday July 8, 2021, Our Fathers day table 2021

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on
the clouds ; rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.
Psalm 68:4

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you well, and having a good week.

Ours has been fairly good,  some fun,  some quiet

times and some needed drama., but.....

it is well with our soul!

Pictures today are from our 4th of July Table this

year.  It was pretty much a use what I had already

table and started with these cute plates below from the

dollar tree.  Already had the napkins too.......

I find putting together a table with one new element

and figuring out the rest with what I already have,

is a fun

Call me Crazy .....

So, on with my Thankfuls.....

Thankful that we were able to get a referral to another

roofer,  the first one came out and never heard from

him again.  The new one came out and tried to seal

the spot but it didn't work so they came back and

put a tarp over our whole chimney, so far, so good,

but we haven't had any really bad rain since, but

will have pretty soon with this tropical storm that

is coming our way.  Hopefully, they might be able

to permanently fix it this coming week.

Note: Once we had heavy rains from the Tropical

storm the tarp didn't fix it either, so we had to call

them again,  so hoping the rain will stop and they

can come fix it this week maybe.  It's been

raining so much, no one can do anything really.

Thankful for a fun 4th of July celebration with

the family on Saturday.  We played restaurant,

win, lose or draw, and some wii bowling and

of course, yakked and had dinner..........the normal

picnic fair........Fun Day!

Thankful that I had found and decided

to buy these cute plates at dollar tree a few

weeks ago, and they turned out to be the

 theme for our table.

Thankful for a great sermon on Jonah,

this week, and then lunch out with our friends

 to Cracker Barrel.  I misunderstood

her and thought they were going away

this weekend,  but it was just a short trip

out to the Port where they are going

to leave for a cruise in August.  lol

Thankful for leftovers...........

Another of the blessings of hosting!!  lol

Thankful that Hurricane Elsa was

down graded to a Tropical storm.

So hopefully good news for Florida.

Note: Definitely good news for Florida

Thankful for someone who needed the

courage to speak up about something

was actually able to do it, so at least

they had the chance to be heard, and

hopefully it might help the situation.

Thankful that my Son and lil darling

got to see fireworks on Sunday evening.

I know she really enjoyed that!

Thankful we had no affects from tropical

storm Elsa.  Some rain and a lil breeze

is all,  and our Daughter and Hubby

faired well too, but they did have a rough

night full of tornado warnings and very

heavy winds,  so didn't get much sleep.

#10, 11, and 12

Thankful for God's provisions,

a comfy cozy bed, a beautiful

home, a pantry and fridge

full of food. God is good!

Well, that's it for this week at Cozy Place

Glad you stopped by......

Have a Great Week

God Bless America!

Thankful Thursday July 1, 2021, A past 4th of July Table

Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen and Amen.
Psalm 72:19 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you all well and happy.
This has been a busy week with a lot
accomplished,  which is always nice
and feels great, and other than some
backaches we are well and happy.

Pictures today are of a past 4th of July Table.
I always use Paper Goods in the Summer for
some reason,  guess cause they are so festive,
and of course, make for easy clean up!  lol
Just taking a cue from that old song, "Roll
out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer!

So on with my Thankfuls...................

Thankful to have been able to bless lil darlings music teacher with the story I shared last week,  about the song she liked.
Her teacher said, it brought her to tears and it really blessed her heart.  I thought it would.

Thankful that she told me she will be teaching at lil darlings school again this year, Lord willing!
Lil darling will be so happy about that!

Thankful for a nice chat with my friend who broke both her legs, she is doing  better all the time, and trying to be ready to go to a family reunion in early July.  It's an 6 hr. trip and she is still not sleeping in her normal bed, and she has some other extenuating circumstances to deal with as well,  so hoping for a good report at her Drs. this coming week, as she is still not able to put much weight on her bad leg, but she is getting around and still making progress, just hoping it will be enough to go without taking a risk.

Thankful for hearing the young mans testimony that is leading our church right now, as our pastor is on symbatical.  I have known him since he was in grade school, but didn't know his story once he went out into the world and became a professional ball player,  so got to hear about that part of his life,  and pretty much know the last years. It was a very powerful testimony of God's goodness, and was glad he shared it, think it will help a lot of people.

Thankful for a nice lunch with our friends at Cracker Barrel. Everything was yummy
and the company was great as always.

Thankful that our friends Dad got to go up for a hot air balloon ride for his 99th Birthday.  We simply cannot believe this mad can be 99 yrs. old,  he is so spry and so much fun, he has hearing and
vision problems, but it doesn't slow him down  much, and he never complains.
He's truly amazing!

Thankful that our  same friends are able to have a get a way for the 4th of July......her Dad lives with them so they don't get that opportunity much, but he is going to visit his other Daughter, so will be away, which gives them this fun opportunity.  Hope they have a great time.

Thankful for all the energy I had this week and all the things I got done,  and that hubby got down on our website as well.

Thankful for hearing good news from my friend, that broke both her legs.  She went back to the Dr. on Tuesday and they did another x-ray and it showed that she was having a lil bone growth around all the hardware she has in there,  and that is a good thing. Still not ready for full weight on that leg yet,  but I am sure it will come in time.

Thankful we found another sofa and loveseat combo we plan to go check on.  It is not reclining tho, but has slipcovers,  just not sure the color of blue is gonna work for us until we actually see it in person. Still not sure we want to give up on the reclining either........will see!  At least it's a prospect!  lol

NOte :  We went to see it but it was much larger than it looked in the picture and it was one of those with the seating area that is very wide, and you have to put a pillow behind you to be comfortable so that's out......and the blue was the wrong color as well, but we did find a store that you can have one custom made just the way you like it but it would still not be reclining and would be pricey of course, since it would be custom made.  If it were reclining we might go for it, cause then it would be perfect. So back to square one.  Good thing we are patient   We actually spotted something off the Interstate on the way home called Furniture City,  so will be checking that out soon.

Have to say this is too much like work!!  lol

Thankful for God's continued peace, Love and grace as we navigate this ongoing situation we are going through.  We feel a bit like we are living in a Soap opera with some of the circumstances.

Thankful that hubby is able to finally mow our lawn. It has been raining so much here, and are lawn is knee high in some places.  It already rained quickly but he is mowing as I write,  so just hoping he gets to finish as the rain chance get higher every hour.  lol

Well, that's all she wrote for Cozy Place
this week.....

Hope you have a great 4th of July weekend

Thanks for coming by.....

 Independence Day Blessings,

Thankful Thursday June 24, 2021, Our Father's Day Table 2021

You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress,
my God on whom I can rely.   Psalm 59:17

Greetings Sweet Friends

Welcome to Summer,

Since it officially arrived on Monday.

Hope all the Dads at your house had a Wonderful

Father's Day, and that yall did a good job of spoiling

them for the day. Tried my best over here!!  lol

Here is our Father's Day Table for this year,  it all

started with this cute gift bag and these typical picnic

looking plates and napkins I found at the dollar tree.

Remember I told you about it last week.

Just added a blue apron, A grill towel that was a gift
from the kids a few years ago, some kitchen utensils, an
oven mitt, bar-be-cue sauce, candles, and some stars,
and some kabob skewers a timer, and a small flag decal
on the opposite side.  Also had to add some boxes
and tissue paper inside the bag so it would stay
and added the things in where they looked good.
Also wound up using a table top corn hole game
to fill in some empty space.
Then used the paper plates and napkins to complete
the look,  also rolled the silverware in the napkins,
and rolled them and put them in the glasses.  I used
normal silverware, glasses and bowls for salad.
Our menu was filet mignon, baked potatoes, salad,
garlic bread and banana pudding, and it was
all yummy if I do say so myself.  Course, our
Master Griller did the

and here we are..............My Sweet Hubby Jim, and Our Son Scott and our Granddaughter, Brooklyn.  We actually remembered
to take some pictures for a change.

and here's the rest of the family that was here......My Sister-in-law Susan and Granddaughter dog Lola.  Unfortunately, Our Daughter DeeAnna, Son-Son in Love, Jerry , and Grandson dog Lola couldn't be here, but the spoiled their Dad from afar.

So on with my Thankfuls.............

Thankful for a surprise visit from a long time friend.
He is the husband of my dear friend who passed away
from cancer back the end of February.  It was great to
see him.  He has lost about 10 pds, and you can tell
he is still deep in grieve but think it is neat that he
decided to come to Florida to visit all his friends
and relatives. Cause think he was getting pretty
lonely.  So he spent the day and night and left
on Sat. afternoon for the home of other friends.

Thankful again for the Lasagna my neighbor sent over
last week, as we wound up having that for dinner when
Randy was here.  Just had to throw together a salad
and bread and make his bed and we were good to go!

Thankful that I was able to get all the things done
for Father's day that needed to be done on Saturday.
afternoon and evening.  It would have been okay if
I didn't but I was pleased that I could. as I wanted
it to be nice for our Dads.

Thankful that my Son and lil darling could be with
us for Father's Day.  So that made my hubby and
Son happy.

Thankful for the good time we all had as
a family.  Played some Sorry and also
the wii.....and of course, did some eating

#6 and 7
Thankful that we decided to go look for furniture
again, and thankful we have finally found what we are
looking for, and so glad we waited, cause the price
was much better than what we found before, and
we wound up delaying it cause we weren't totally
sure about it......
Anyway think it was a divine delay, as it turned out
better.............The new sofa also has a manual reclining
sofa and love seat. All the others have to be plugged
in or you have to have a battery pack for them,
which we were not sure how well those work.  We
won't get it until some time in September tho, which
 we weren't really surprised by.

So Thankful for my hubby and what a good and kind

Dad and hubby he is..........We are so blessed and thankful

for the man that he is...........

Thankful for my Son as well, he has turned out to be
a really great Dad too.  Lil darling adores him and
her Grampy.  And of course, he is a good Son too.
He and hubby are well loved men!

Thankful that hubby had a big breakthrough
on a problem he was having with our website.
Problem fixed...........yippee.....

Thankful that I decided to do a little research
on the company that makes the furniture we
were about to buy.  We saw many places where
they had bad reviews and a few people said
don't walk run away from disappointing
as it is.....we are grateful that we checked and
didn't waste our money.  I have decided to see
if we can find a good upholsterer and go in
that will see!

Thankful for a wonderful day with lil darling
today.  and Thankful to hear she loves this
song that was taught to her by her music
teacher at school, That used to go to our
church and taught my Daughter in the
Youth choir.  It just doesn't seem like a
song an 8 yr. old would like, but she
knows a lot of the words and like to
see the lyrics so she can sing along.
That just so blessed my heart.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week.

Thanks for coming by...............

Keep your light shining brightly,

Love, Hugs and Special
Summer Blessings,
