Summer Greetings Sweet Friends,
How are you today?? Hope you are having
a bright and sunny day............
Once we got settled in we haven't done a
whole lot accept watch the RNC at night.
It's really been enjoyable and encouraging.
Looking forward to seeing Pres. Trump
speak tonight.......as we have heard he
torn up his old speech and wrote a whole
new one.........interesting!!
Pictures today are scenes from our Golf Cart
ride in our Daughter and Son-in-loves
neighborhood in Charleston S. Carolina a few
weeks ago. I love seeing how houses in
other states look.............
On with my Thankfuls..............
#1
Thankful to be sleeping back in my own bed, even tho. I slept very comfortably at my Daughters. Just something about your own bed. lol
#2
Thankful that we are all unpacked and everything put away, and that we have fresh food in the house again.
#3
Thankful that are lawn and plants all looked
great since we had a lot of rain at home while
we were gone
#4
Thankful that our Daughter put us on to Aldi grocery store and the $ savings. Our's is not real close to us, so we did an instacart shopping venture, and it turned out great. Their prices are really good, I have to say, and our shopper did a great job.
#5
Thankful for a good day with lil darling. We hadn't seen her in a couple of weeks, so always great to be with her.
#6
Thankful hubby was able to get the lawn mowed as it was pretty long after being gone and it has been raining, and is supposed to rain again this afternoon.
Looks mucho better now!!

Thankful President Trump is okay, after the attempt on his life on Saturday. Talk about a miracle, it is truly a miracle he is alive, as it was such a close shot.
Feeling awful about the other man that was killed and others that were injured. Praying for the healing of Pres. Trump and all of the victims and their families, and for everyone that was there, as I am sure it was terrifying and traumatic to say the least, and is gonna take some time to recover from.
It was good to see President Trump at the RNC all week. He is a courageous man!
#8
Thankful for all those secret service people who reacted so quickly and did their very best to defend and take care of Pres. Trump. They did an awesome job, and it was very heart warming to see what they did.
#9
Thankful for a good day at church, and a good sermon by our Senior Pastor, that is in the midst of retiring. Loved how he closed our service this morning....with 3 mins. of silence. He said, and I heartily agree, that people are always so busy no one takes time to sit in silence anymore, to our own detriment.
#10
Thankful to get to go to lunch with our lunch buddies, we have been missing our lunches lately due to one of the other of our schedules.
So it was great to be together today.
#11
Thankful for a nice long Sunday nap, while it
rained outside. It's been a few weeks since
I've had one. So refreshing.
#12
Thankful for a new recipe I made last
night, that our Daughter had made for us
whenwe were there the end of February.
It's a one pot pasta dish, and delicious
andeasy to make. Think the recipe is
for about 6 people. It is a recipe from a blog
called "What's Mama cooking". Here is a link to it or go to her blog and look in her
recipes for "Creamy Rigatoni with
Boursin Cheese.
You won't be sorry!! lol
As you can see the houses are all
different sizes and shapes which makes it
such a quaint, and charming older
neighborhood, no cookie cutter
anything. That's why there is so much
renovating and new builds; some older
homes are being either reno'd or torn down
an new ones built. Most of these were new
homes or homes I just didn't remember
from before.

Thankful for some sweet Wedding pics
that we rec'd via text.....of the Son of a
Vietnamese young man we met over 30
yrs. ago, that worked with my hubby,
and who became like family. We went
to his wedding years ago, and now his
Son just got married in a small wedding
in Nebraska. His Son and his bride
are both both Officers in the Navy
and went to the Naval academy.
The ship his Son was commissioned
on was the USS Militus, that was named
after a POW/MiA from the Viet Nam
war. I couldn't get over how fitting
that was, and if you knew his Dads
story, you would be amazed at his
legacy.....
He also has a Daughter who is
joining the Air Force and is gonna
be on a swim team for them.
They are all believers in Jesus.
So proud of them....
