Thankful Thursday August 7, 2025, and Fun Summer vibes

The day is yours, and yours also the night;
you established the sun and moon.

It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth;

you made both summer and winter.

Psalm 74:16-17 NIV

Morning Sweet Friends,

And  Happy August,

can't believe we are already a week in to it.

Been a quiet week here, not much going on,

have had quite a few thunderstorms this week,

but good to get the rain as we have needed it.

Pictures today are just some whimsical and fun

Now on with my Thankfuls............

#1

Thankful we are all unpacked and back to normal,

after our trip last week. Good sleeping in our bed again, even tho we were comfy at our Daughter's,  just something about your own bed!!  lol

#2

Thankful to see our Son and Granddaughter, aka lil darling.  It has been 3 weeks since we have seen them, as she has been having so much fun with friends and family this summer, but school will be starting soon and we will be seeing her weekly again. Looking forward to that but been a nice break for all of us.

#3

Thankful she is gonna be going to see our Daughter again just before she goes back to school, and they are both so looking forward

 to it.

Note: She arrived there yesterday.

#4

Thankful for things in the news that are just plain

laughable.  I just read where several cancer drugs

are found to be able to cure Alzheimer's, get this...

in mouse (not even mice) who have Alzheimer's.

I so wanted to leave a comment,  but there was

no where to do it unfortunately.  My comment

would be... an how do they know....

 a mouse has alzheimers????  lol

#5

Thankful I finished and put 4 new cards in our shop this week.

#6

Thankful Gorgeous and Beautiful  (our new

hydrangea plants) are looking okay....

we had drip lines set up and they did

okay but they had turned  from white to

green cause they were getting so much water

before we left, and newer flowers that opened

were still white.  Unfortunately while we were

gone , they were only getting water from the dripline, and we weren't getting any rain here

so some of the flowers and leaves look burned,

and turned brown, but mostly they did survive...

they just don't look as pretty!!

It was just so hot, so they needed more water

evidently.  Hopefully next year it won't be so

bad since they will hopefully be more established.

#7

Thankful for a good day back at church,

great message, and good to see all our

Pastors, friends and congregants.

#8

Thankful we got to go out to lunch

with our lunch buddies,  it was very

nice as it has been a month or so

since we have seen them due to our

schedules.

#9
Thankful  for a sweet blast from the past on Sunday, While having lunch with our friends, a young man, who is now in his upper 40's, and used to be in our College and Career bible study 25+years ago. Some how recognized us, (which was a shock!  lol) and he came over to talk
with us. He had a beard so at first we weren't sure who he was until he said his name, then
we knew immediately. It was so good to see him, and he looked good. Been trying to find him on facebook so we could find out more about how
he is doing, but so far, nada!

#10

Thankful for frozen yogurt from our Race Trac

gas station.  It's been quite awhile since we have

been there cause their machines were never working well for some reason, so we just stopped going which was probably good in the

 long run.  lol

But it sure was yummy yesterday.

#11

Thankful that I happened to see on

Newsmax about a Christian Credit

union that is like a bank. So we are

checking it out.  So far, so good!

The bank we use that was very close

to us closed, so we have to travel a

little to get to a branch now, and sometimes

it's not very convenient, but this one

wouldn't still be as close, but it is

a lil closer than the other, and has

has good  perks as well.

#12

So Thankful that God loved me and my family

and anyone in the world so much that He sent

us Jesus, to rescue us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-17

Thanks for coming by.....

That's it for Cozy Place this week.

Have a Sunny rest of the week,

Love, Hugs, and

Happy August blessings,

Nellie
