Thankful Thursday - October 31, 2019, Fall tables from the past #6

Immediately he received his sight and
followed Jesus, praising God. When all
the people saw it, they also praised God.
Psalm 18:43

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Boo!!  Bet I scared You!!  lol

Hope you are having a nice day,
and maybe you are like me hoping
for some cute trick or treaters
tonight.  We rarely have trick or
 treaters anymore, which is sad
to me.....I love seeing all those
lil cuties come, course, have
to say over the years the cos-
tumes are not quite as cute as
they used to be....

Pictures today are of another Fall
table, think this one might have been
for just a Fall Sunday dinner.  It was
done with some paper goods mixed
with regular silverware and glasses.
Like to show those tables once in
awhile, cause it shows you don't
have to have fancy dishware just
to set a pretty table.

Well,  on with my Thankfuls.....

#1
Thankful for getting to see lil
darling 3 times this week,  and
having a sleepover one of the
times.  Always a fun time to
be with her.

#2
Thankful for finding a new
throw for my sofa that I have
been in search of - for just $5.
and a beautiful plaid Christmas
tablecloth for $10, that we found
at a new discount place we have
here in town called "Ollies".
It was our first time to check it
out.  All the throws I have been
 seeing online or elsewhere were
$30 and up. So this was a great
find and the tablecloth a fun
find as well.

#3
Thankful for seeing some nice
flats at Kohls, and I wasn't even
looking,  just popped up online
but, they were perfect for what
I needed, and half price online.

#4
Thankful for Kale salad, it
comes in a bag  and we get it
at Sams club.  I just rinse it
good with hot water, then cold
water and drain it then add the
Poppy seed dressing along with
 the sunflower seeds and cran-
berries that all come in the bag.
Delish and so easy.

#5
Thankful for having some very
creative card making days this
week.

#6
Thankful for a few new things
I learned on my card making
software this week.

#7
Thankful that it looks like my
nephew and his family should
be moving in their house here
in the next week or so.  It's
about time,  they contracted
to have it done in January of
this year.  So they are beyond
ready I am sure.  Just heard
they have to be out of where
they are renting next Friday,
and they are not sure their
house is gonna be ready.
If you feel so led,  please
pray they can move in on
time..........

#8
Thankful once again for this new
show we are watching on TBN
called "Better together". It is
just such an amazing talk show.

#9
So thankful for the subject on
Better Together this week - they
were talking about grief, and
 several ladies shared their grief
stories, and they were very sad
but they were also talking about
how to walk thru grief and how
the Lord helped them,  it was
really so inciteful and helpful,
as we have had a lot of people
around us lately who have had
 devastating losses. Such incredible
information from people who have
walked thru deep grief and
devastating losses.
 So touched my heart.............
So thankful for these dear ladies
and there willingness to share
their stories in order to help others.

#10 Thankful for 2 new books we are
reading,  that are very good
read so far, and are definitely
resonating with me.

#11 Thankful that I decide to wipe
down my counter  tops with
lysol wipes and they look great,
put a nice subtle shine on them.

#12 Thankful that all our kids and lil
darling, are together for a long
weekend, and probably having
a blast as always. Love that they
 enjoy each other so much.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place.

Thanks for stopping by

Have a lovely weekend

and

 Happy Halloween!!

Love, Hugs and

Scripture Sunday

Afternoon Sweet Friends,

Here is the  verse of the day!

Without faith it is impossible to please
God, because anyone who comes to him,
must believe that he exists and he rewards
 those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Have a Lovely Sunday!

Thankful Thursday October 24, 2019, Fall Table from the past #5

I will proclaim the name of the LORD.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
Deuteronomy 32:3

Greetings Sweet Friends,

So how are ya??  Doing well I hope.

Been a good week here.  Todays
our day to get lil darling so looking
forward to seeing her, of course.
Her Mom text me her school pic
this morning....and be still my
heart....so beautiful and sweet!

Well, have a good day!

Pictures today are from another
Fall table past. Think this might
have been for my daughter-in-
loves birthday.

So on with my Thankfuls......

#1
Thankful for a fun night out
with our friends, going to see
Downton Abbey and then
 having breakfast at Perkins
afterwards. It made for a late
night, but loved it.

#2
Thankful for a great time at my
Son, Daughter- in-love and lil
darlings house, and for a yummy
spaghetti dinner and a great
time just being together.

#3
Thankful for some encouraging
feedback from a friend of my
daughters on one of my cards
she sent her.

#4
Thankful for a lot of printables
I got done for our shop.

#5
Thankful that the tropical storm
that hit Florida over the weekend
caused no damage to life or
property,  and didn't cause our
daughter and hubby any problems
since it went thru by them too
and they were at the beach
house this passed weekend.

#6
Thankful that we got to watch
2 twin girls, that belong to the
single Mom I have mentioned
a number of times, get baptized
on Sunday, and it was there
Mom who led them to the Lord.
Such a precious thing.

#7
Thankful to see our Pastors wife,
that moved away weeks back at
church on Sunday.  Her hubby
will be here in a few days as they
came for him to officiate at the
Wedding of one of their passed
students. Hoping they will still
be here on Sunday, so we can
see him too.

#8
Thankful for the life and legacy of
a dear sweet lady from our church,
named Adrienne, and that she is no
longer suffering with cancer,  as she
went home to be with Jesus this
passed Monday. Good News for her,
but not so good for her husband,
3 adult children and grandchildren
and friends who loved her.  If you
feel so led please pray with me
 for them.

#9
So Thankful for my and her faith
in Jesus, for it is when we lose
people that we really understand in
a much deeper way what we have
 in Jesus,where death is concerned.
For it is just saying good bye
 temporarily....not permanently.
As we will see them again once
 we get to heaven.
 Thank You Jesus!!

#10

Thankful that I tried a new crock
pot recipe that Marty over at "A
Stroll thru life" put on her blog.
It was for making a small
Thanksgiving dinner. Stuffing and
chicken or Turkey Breasts
My stuffing tasted just like when
I make it in the oven, just maybe
lil more moist, but wasn't crazy
about the chicken breasts.... but
think it was my fault... because
I didn't use the really big chicken
breasts like she did, anyway, I
would definitely recommend it
and make it again, but do find
 large chicken breasts.
It was very easy to make as well
and I love easy recipes. How
about you??

Click here to get her recipe.

#11
Thankful hubby was able to fix
our friends computer for them.

#12
Thankful for a really neat and
meaningful conversation with
my hubby yesterday.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week.

Thanks for dropping by and hope you
have a lovely Friday and Weekend.

Keep your light shining brightly.

Love, Hugs and
Special Fall Blessings,

Nellie

Fireplace gussied up for Fall

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope you are having a good week so far.

Ours has been good, not a lot going on until
the end of the week,  so finally had time to
take and edit some pics to do a decorating
post for a change.

I did this decorating over a month ago,
but just getting around to showing you.
Thought I would show you the fireplace
today.  Decided to put up this Thomas
Kincaide look alike picture I have had
for ages, but that brings me joy every
time I look at it.

Hoping my home
in heaven looks like one of these
cottages with all the flowers....lol
Just so beautiful....

wanted to go with a fresh and
less is more look this time.

So began with the white ceramic pumpkins
cause they show up so nicely on the dark
mantle.  Then it needed something so I
added the fall berries. Colorful but not
overdone..........

Found the brass fruit plaques in the garage
as I was getting my Fall stuff out and
decided to see if I might use those some
where.  Believe it or not they were a
wedding gift almost 49 yrs. ago, and
I have always loved them, but I typi-
cally use them at christmas time.

Since I am really enjoying the timed
candles every since hubby retired and
he got on this LED candle kick,
decided to just put them on a fall
colored plates with some berries,
then just added some copper mercury
glass candleholders...which I totally
forgot to light and they are so pretty
lit up.

Had to get on a chair to get a decent
picture of the picture as the picture light
is so bright,  it puts a glare on the picture
itself.  This looks pretty good tho but
only cause I stood on the chair.  lol

this is on the left side of the hearth.

and this is on the right....our
old fireplace tools.  I want to
replace them, but I can not find
anything I like....most are black
now, and I am not crazy about that.
So I just shined them up a bit
cause I only put them on the
hearth in the Fall and Winter.

Well, hope you are enjoying your
Fall decor too, we have been!

Glad you could stop in,

Have a delightful rest of the week,

Love, Hugs and
End of October Blessings,

Thankful Thursday October 17, 2019, Scenes from Falls Past

yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:18 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this find you well and enjoying Fall
weather where ever you live.

So excited that we are starting to feel
a tad more like Fall,  in the 80's but
think soon we will be in the 70's,
soooooooo looking forward to that!!
It has been a long time coming....

Pics today are from a  Fall Past.
Love this dish with the potpourri
in it, sometimes I use it for a candy
dish (this year actually).  It belonged
to my late Mother, my Dad won it
for her at the fair when she was
pregnant with me.  It is made of
carnival glass and is just so pretty
and Fall is the only time It really
fits in with my decor, so always
look forward to using it during
this time.

Well, on with my Thankfuls.

#1
Thankful that we got to see lil darling
twice this week.  On our regular Thurs.
and then for a sleepover on Friday.
We had a great time as always.

#2
Thankful for a good day at church and a
fun lunch out with our friends at Perkins.

#3
Thankful that our contractor surprised
us by coming out on Sunday while we
were at church and doing the ramp for
our shed.  We didn't even know he did
it until he called us that night.
He always comes on Saturday, so we
just thought great, another week with
no work.....so we were very
 pleasantly surprised!! Hopefully by
November we will have this project
finished.....

#4

Thankful that we discovered that
"Subway" has these new B-b-cue
beef brisket sandwiches and they are
yummy.  It has been awhile since
we have had any good b-b-cue
because the one place is 35 Mins.
away and hubby used to get take
out from there on the way home,
but since he isn't working down
there anymore we never go there,
and the one here in town just isn't
any good anymore.  So we were
quite happy for this discovery.

#5
Thankful that today (Monday) is my
daughter and son-in-loves 8th Anniversary.
Seems like so much longer really. They
make such a good team.....and are very
happy together.  That makes our hearts
happy as well........

#6
Thankful to hear good news from one
of my dearest friends.  She had to have
 some biopsies done and everything
turned out fine.  Praise the Lord.

#7
Thankful for a new ladies
program on Trinity Broadcasting
network, called "Better Together"
It is a lovely, fun and edifying
program, and we really feel so
uplifted after listening to all these
interesting ladies who are friends.
Even hubby enjoys it.

#8
Thankful for Pres. Trump, Vice
Pres. Pence, Attorney General
Barr and Sec. of State Pompeo
and how they have been speak-
ing out about religious freedom.
Love the hearts of these men.
God Bless them,  and many
others who are doing the same.

#9
Thankful that what we thought
was concrete that got splattered
on our new shed when the con-
tractor poured the concrete for
the ramp... turned out to just be
sand.  So happy about that, cause
we were wondering how he was
gonna get that off of the wood
 without it looking bad.
Cause it was pretty big area.

#10
Thankful we freed up our oak tree
outback again. We did it in the
Spring but the grapevine was trying
to take it over again, so we did
some grape vine pulling on Wed
The tree has really grown a lot
since we freed it up the first time.
It's gonna be a nice strong
oak tree for sure.

#11
Thankful for a long manual pole
cutter that we purchased last year,
it has been worth every penny we
paid for it.  We can get so much
higher up to cut tree limbs and
stuff with it. The gas one we
bought before it, couldn't even
reach what we wanted to cut,
so we took it back and got the
manual one....much more useful.

#12
Thankful for our church and that this
 passed Tuesday ( Oct.15th) marked
40 years for us at this church.
It has been an enormous blessing
to us.

Thanks for coming by to check out
our week at Cozy Place.

Hope you have a really great Weekend.

Love, Hugs, and
Mid October Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday Morning
Sweet Friends,

Here is the scripture for today!

Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest if we do not give up.

Galations 6:9 NIV

What a great reminder...
to keep on keeping on cause
at times we all do get weary.
I like that it says,  We will...
not we could or we might,
we will reap if we do not
give up.  Love that!

Have a lovely and restful day!

Hugs,
Nellie
