Thankful Thursday January 30, 2020, Winter decor from the past #4

In God we make our boast all day long,
and we will praise your name forever.
Psalm 44:8 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a good week.

Ours has been good, busy, and
I have been a lil under the weather
as I had a UTI and had to go to the
CVS clinic for meds on Thursday,
but feeling better today.

My day has been mostly on the
phone with my sweet daughter
and a sweet long time friend,
and talking to my hubby, so
it has been a relation building
day I guess I would say!! and
it was fun catching up.

Pictures today are decor from
another Winter past.  So on
with my Thankfuls.....

#1 and 2
Thankful to have all my Winter
decorating finished.
and
Thankful that all my Christmas
decor is packed and put
away finally!!
Whoo Hoo

Now time to just enjoy it.

#3
Thankful for warm comfy lounging
PJ's while we are having these
cooler temps.

#4
Thankful for my new Christmas
tablecloth, I really enjoyed it
all thru the Christmas season
and beyond.

#5
Thankful that I decided to do
my Winter Decorating in red
this year.  We are really enjoying
it, and I did do the living room
in Green and white,  so we have
the best of both worlds.  lol

#6
Thankful for a sweet Memorial
Service on Sunday for a sweet
servant of God in our church,
she was 84 yrs. old, and was
a widow with no children, and
she had been at our church for
about 37 years, so we knew her
all that time, and she taught our
daughter DeeAnna when she
was really little.
She was always taking care of
things at our church, and was a
real help to our Pastors. She also
always helped out in the kitchen
and made coffee for everyone,
and taught young children when
she was younger, also visiting
folks in the nursing homes.
She was a very take charge lady
and a shaker and mover, but  these
last years she had to go to assisted
living and then into a Nursing home
 for our Churches Denomination.
In this past year she was in pain
all the time, and when she went
into hospice care she sort of just
planned her own service, as she
had a list with songs she wanted
sung and scripture verses to share
and even wrote her autobiography
which made it very easy for our
Pastors to do her service.
She went out in her usual style,
and she even had them give away
some of  her personal treasures
to anyone who wanted a re-
membrance of her and I picked
up a few lil angels for the Christ-
mas tree, one for me and
 one for my daughter.

#7
Thankful that hubby was able to
help our friends with their computer
that crashed. He is a Pastor and uses
his computer to do his sermons, so
he was very happy to have it back.
My Hero, did it again!

#8
Thankful to be making some cards
again.  As I have had a pretty long
break with all the holidays.

#9
Thankful that even tho our shed
is still not completed, it is done
enough we could put some big
things in there like our riding
mower and stuff,  which has
freed up space in our garage so
that we can now have all our
Christmas decorations on the
ground floor.  Hubby doesn't
need to be going up in the
attic anymore....so quite happy
and Thankful about this change.

#10
Thankful for a new TV series
we found on Pureflix called
"Doc".  It is really good and
clean, with good story lines.
Billy Ray Cyrus plays Doc.
We have seen about 7 shows
and they have all been great.

#11
Thankful for CVS Pharmacy walk-in
clinics.  Have a UTI and was able to
go there this morning and get the
medication I needed, since I couldn't
get in to see my normal Dr. and it
was closer to home as well.

#12
Thankful for antiobiotics and
yoga pants (lol).  Hopefully
the antiobiotics will take care
of the problem within the next
12-24 hrs. and yoga pants feel
so much more comfortable
than jeans right now.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place
this week..........

Have a Delightful Weekend,

Love, Hugs and
Bye Bye January Blessings,

Nellie

Happy Sunday
Sweet Friends,

Here is the verse for today!

He says,
“Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 45:10 NIV

Thankful Thursday January 23, 2020, Winter/Valentines day decor from the past.#3

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were
called to peace. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a lovely week.

Ours has been lovely for sure....
Had a really good time at our
daughter and son-in-loves, and
always sad to leave her, but also
happy to get home, cause like you
know "there is no place like home".

Pictures today are of Winter
decor in the past.

So now on with my Thankfuls.

#1
Thankful for a safe and uneventful
trip to South Carolina and back.

#2
Thankful for so many fun things
we got to do.... Playing cards, and
Scattergories, eating out, cooking
 together, shopping at Home Goods,
and at the "At Home" store.
Getting to visit their new beach
cottage and getting to see all the
new things they have done to
reno and spruce it up, as well as
helping them with some things.
Also, for a bit of Crafting. They
have old windows that came off
the beach house, so we printed
some neat graphics and put them
on each pane of glass, and she
put it on facebook market place
to sell.  We really liked it, and
think someone else will too
hopefully!
Also watching and enjoying
their new pup Bentley who is
now about 20 pds, and they
watched a friends dog as well
for the last half of our time
there.  Those dogs were a riot
as they played...they run at top
speed and slide all around
wrestling with each other and
having the time of their life.
(Roxi the other dog left on
Monday night so I am sure
Bentley really misses her.)
and Dee and I's most favorite
thing to do is spend time one
on one talking or doing a pro-
ject and we got to do quite a
bit of that this time which is
rare anymore, so that was
quite a blessing.

#3
Thankful for some new and fun
 discoveries while there:

A Brand New Mexican Restaurant
we all really liked but don't remember
the name of it, (it's not a chain rest-
aurant tho) but it was in the same
shopping center as the store I talk
about below.

A trip to a new grocery store we
have never heard of but will be
coming to Florida in the next year
(hopefully one near us). For those
of you who know about Publix
Supermarkets, you know they
 sell Greenwise products.
Well, this was a Greenwise Super
market, and a really neat store.
We got some amazingly good
cookies from their bakery while
there too, and they were so
yummy and the Mgr. who was
 originally from Florida came and
 placed a $13. Cheesecake with
Strawberries and blueberries on it,
in our cart for free........she said it
was either going home with us or
in the trash, so naturally we took it
home with us and It was delicious!!
(We are think she must of heard us
talking to some of her employees
about loving the store and being
 from Florida).  My daughter and
them will definitely be visiting
there again.  It was their first
visit too.

Also, they had discovered a
really neat donut shop that they
introduced us to called the
"Fractured Prune"
Such fresh and delicious cake
donuts with all sorts of neat
glazes and toppings. We each
got 3 of our own choosing.
Just a few of the names that
 I can remember:
French Toast, Dulce de Leche,
Ms. Prunella, and lemonaide,
Salted Caramel, and they were
all really good and what a fun
and yummy breakfast.  lol
We cut them in quarters and
 sampled them all............lol
If you have been reading my
blog long you know we love
finding new things to eat and
 new stores we enjoy browsing.
We are very easily entertained,
what can I say!!  lol

#4
Thankful that I found a  white board
to put on my fridge that I have been
looking for, and some presents for
lil darling, and a pretty mercury glass
 blush pink candle-holder/vase, and
hubby found an angel for lil darling
for next Christmas and 2 of those
ceramic Christmas cottages on sale.

#5
Thankful to have the ability to see both
of our children and their families so
often....as I have friends who rarely get
to see their children and Grandchildren,
and it is very hard for them.  So we
know how blessed we are....

#6
Thankful that lil darling got the
drain or whatever it was taken out
and got the all clear from the Dr.
on Monday and is healing well.
Very happy to hear that!

#7
Thankful that we are all unpacked
from our trip now, and I can get on
with taking down our Christmas
stuff tomorrow. I decided not to
try and tackle it before we left....
just took down the tree and
outside decorations

#8
Thankful that my sweet neighbor
sent over some of her wonderful
veggie soup.

#9
Thankful that all the Christmas things
are down, not packed up yet because I
decided to redecorate first....and since
I decided to keep my poinsettias up
and use red for accents this year, it
just seemed so much warmer since
it was so cold here. Also thought I
might need some of the Christmas
things that can look like Winter as
well.

#10 and 11
Thankful to get to see lil darling
today after 12 days.  She loved
her presents and had to try them
on....she loves clothes
Also Thankful for hearing her
sing "It is well, with my soul".
She learned it in chapel at her
school.  Precious!

#12
Thankful that we were able to
find a place in our Winter Decor
for 2 lil charming Village type
houses that typically gets used
at Christmas.  My hubby has
always loved those villages,
and we found 2 on sale at
Michaels when we were in SC
for 80% off, so they came home
with us.  He is gonna try to con-
vert them into battery operated
houses that turn themselves
on and off....which will be
great if he can do it cause then
we can put them anywhere and
not have to plug them in, but I
found a place we could put both
of them so we could plug them
in for now.  Looks so cute!

Well, that's it for Cozy Place
this week,  this is the SC
travel edition...........lol

Thanks for coming by....

Have a Super Duper weekend!

Love, Hugs and
Warm Cozy Blessings,

Nellie

Happy Tuesday Morning
Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you warm and
cozy....it is pretty cold here in

Course, for some of you I am
sure 55 would sound great!!

Daughter and Son-in-loves,  but

Thankful Thursday January 16, 2020, winter decor from the past #2

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that
cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so
worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
Hebrew 12:28 NIV

Greeting Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a good week
and those of you up north in the blizzard
areas, praying you are staying warm and
 keep your power.

We were finally able to leave for our
trip on Saturday,  since lil darling was doing
much better and her Dad was coming later
that day.  We have been here in Charleston
SC visiting with our daughter and son-in-love
since last Sat. evening and will be leaving
here soon.  Poo...The Parties over.....lol
Will tell you about it next Thursday.

Pictures today are from Winter
 decor past at Cozy Place.

So on with my Thankfuls

#1
Thankful that lil darlings 2nd day
after surgery was good as well....
cause it is notorious for being the
 worst day after surgery.

Update:

Actually she did really well the
whole time, but the bandage
removal as the worst.

#2
Thankful for Sonic burgers,  they remind
me of my Dad's Hamburgers and haven't
had one for a long time. My Dad used to
own a diner.

#3 and 4

Thankful to hear that the direction our
friend Arlene has been led to go with
her cancer treatment has proven to be
94% affective in eradicating the cancer.
It is very costly tho, so thankful they
have the means to be able to do it as
well.

#5

Thankful to have a nice long chat
with our friend Arlene to finds out
all the particulars of her cancer
 treatment.

#6

Thankful lil darling continues to do
well, after the ordeal of getting the
surgical bandages off. that is the most
horrible/painful tape to get off ones
body.

#7 and 8

Thankful that since lil darling
is doing well...we could leave
for our trip to our daughters,
and thankful we made the trip
safely and uneventfully.

#9 and 10

Thankful to hear our friend
Arlene and hubby rec'd the
card and gift we sent them
before they went to california
for her to begin her treament for
cancer As she is due to go any-
time and it might have been
awhile before they got it, so
Thankful for that answer to
 prayer.

#11 and 12

Thankful our son, got a new
job so hopefully this will make
it possible for him to be home
 more.  Also Thankful its better
in every way and that he is very
excited about it.

That's it for cozy place this week.

Thanks for coming by.....

Have a good weekend.
