October Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope your week has been a good one!!
Our's was good.
Not happy to see that storm out in the gulf
tho.....praying it blows out before it can make
landfall. Just saw on facebook that my late
brother's wife is right in the path of it, so now
we are hoping and praying even more, that it
blows out. It has been such a awesome
Hurricane Season for our country this year,
I really want to see that continue as it is
really miraculous, I think anyway!!

So On with my Thankfuls.............

Thankful to spend time with lil darling again,
and we made PumpkinBread from a recipe
she got from one of her friend's Mom. We
really had a lot of laughs as her Grammy
is so out of practice with baking, as I have
never been a great baker to begin with, now,
cooking that is different. lol We had
a lot of laughs as we found out that
Grammy really needs to clean out her
spice cabinet.....lol We were looking
for baking powder and did find a can
that was unopened but it was wayyyy
out of date, but thanks to google or
whoever search, we found we could use
baking soda and lemon juice. Truly not sure
if it worked or not....as pumpkin bread isn't
usually a real riser most of the time.
Anyway, we had fun doing it and we all
liked it, so that is all that mattered. lol

Thankful we got pizza for dinner (as I
was worn out after the pumpkin bread
/Science experiment. lol)
and nice we all had din din together.

Thankful for phones with camera's, they
are not only fun they are so helpful and
also make you feel closer to your loved
ones as well. Our Daughter has been
sending us photos as her house is pro-
gressing, and we are so enjoying it and
it is fun for her to show us just not tell
us. Just like living life together as best we
can.....love that........course we would
much rather see in person, but that is
just not possible right now.

Thankful that because of my hubby, our
whole family is pretty techy, and if we get
stuck guess who helps us all....Course, he
sorta loves being indispensable!! lol
I often wonder what other Sr. Citizens do,
that don't have anyone techy like that around.
Just 15 yrs. or so ago, I was terrified of
the computer, and hubby worked as an engr.
and used computers all the time, and one day,
the Lord just changed all that, in a moment.
It was truly miraculous!!

Thankful for how the Lord brings to mind
things from the past that we have sort of
forgotten about, but when remembered
bring encouragement to us. That is what
just happened to me, with telling you about
my #4 Thankful. As it is something good
that was born out of an ongoing difficult
time in my life, and the Lord has used it
to help me be content and happy, and also
to be a blessing to others. God just never
ceases to amaze me with His goodness,
even when we don't see or know the full
picture of what is going on...........
He truly does work all things together for
the good of those who love Him, and are
called according to His purposes.
As Romans 8:28 says.

Thankful the Lord took care of a problem
I was having last night, that was making
my face and gums sore like I had a tooth
that was going bad. I was thinking it might
be sinus issues, but I wasn't having trouble
breathing or having a headache, which
would be typical. I was sort of afraid
to sleep on that side, but during the night
decided to do it, cause it was hurting, so
did so with trepidation, but not too long
after my face stopped hurting and my
nose started running, and have been fine
all day, so the Lord answered our prayer,
and guess it was sinus issues.
Quite happy about that.....

Thankful that lil darling did some painting
over the weekend. She painted some wooden
boxes that could be jewelry boxes, and they
came out so well. I think she has some
serious talent going on.

Thankful for a new grocery store
discovery we learned about from our
Son. Publix Grocery Stores now have
home made popcorn in the Deli, one
is made with Coconut Oil and it is
absolutely delicious. Very Much like
"Lesser Evil" Popcorn, with a tad
more salt. It is just in a clear plastic
bag and is at a more reduced price.
Who couldn't love that!! lol

Thankful hubby somehow found "Tool Time,"
I think on Roku. We are running out of
good clean shows to watch, and it is still
as funny as it was back then. In case
You don't remember "Tim the Tool Man
Taylor", with his wife and 3 kids, and
the neighbor next door that you could
only see half his face. lol

Thankful hubby got his new dental crowns
today and all went well.......one more thing
off the list........

Thankful we are making it a Dunkin Day,
as we call it, breakfast from Dunkin and
MacDonalds (for a caramel frappe -
my way of getting coffee) lol
As we are going down to
our Son's to finish stripping wallpaper in
lil darlings bathroom. Hopefully one more
day will do it, then we can move on to
painting. I tell you removing wallpaper
is tedious work! lol

Thankful that our Daughter's reno is
continuing to go well, and they got all
the new windows in yesterday, so they are
under roof and a bit more enclosed now.
