Psalm 147:11 NIV
Happy Thursday Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you doing well, and
possibly getting ready for Mother's Day!!
Been a good week here.....we were
ecstatic that we got a lil, and I do
mean little rain, but some rain is
better than no rain, since it is so dry,
and not to mention hot as blue blazes.
Thought you might enjoy seeing pics
of a Mother's day table from the past.
Since some of you might be hosting
your Mom, Grandmother or another
Mom for that matter.
On with my Thankfuls....
#1
Thankful for dinner out with our sweet
neighbors that live across the street.
Their Grandson came too, and that
was fun cause we haven't seen him
long enough to have a conversation in
quite awhile. Sweet kid, course, h3
is 24 now. Still a kid to us!! lol
#2
Thankful for a good last day of school
with lil darling. Her last day actually
at school is the today, so we probably
want be seeing her quite as much since
she is getting older and wants to spend
more time with friends.
#3
Thankful that our new hydrangeas are
doing beautifully. We haven't planted them
yet, as we are trying to slowly get them
acclamated to the time of day when they
start to get full sun. Which is at noon
and the rest of the day. So we have sort
of been babysitting them and checking on
them hourly in case them might burn
or need water, which they have needed
a lot of water. So excited for them to
do well.......
#4
Thankful for a great message from our
Pastor Andrew, who spoke on mental health
and gave a testimony from his own life
I personally think that message is going
to help a lot of people, and hubby and
I both think he was quite brave to give it.
#5
Thankful that our friends/ lunch buddies
were all able to be at church, as they
were all feeling well enough...........her
husband had a mild stroke some weeks
back and thankfully it didn't do any bad
damage permanently it seems, but made
him very weak, so he is slowly getting
his strength back, so we were so
happy to see him feeling much stronger.
#6
Thankful for lunch out with a sweet
Jamaican couple, we have known for
some years but had just never gotten
together before. We had such a good
time and found we have quite a few
things in common. It was fun getting
to know them better
Thankful our Daughter and Son-in-love
had a nice 4 day get away this passed
week, to a beach in North Carolina.
#8
Thankful we got our "White Wedding
hydrangeas" planted today. We have
been having a lot of overcast weather
and we are expecting some rain in
the next few days according to the
weather, so figured now was the
time. I named her "Gorgeous", and
hoping she lives up to her name. lol
#9
Thankful for more work in the yard,
making progress, but an ongoing job. lol
Thankful we may start getting some
rain here soon, we sure need it.
#10
Thankful that we got that much
needed rain, not once but twice on Wed.
Much harder rain the 2nd time later in
the evening. Grass looks so happy this
morning, much greener.
#11
Thankful that "Gorgeous" did great
thru the 2nd rain especially, as I
was a lil concerned it might be too
heavy and break a stem or two.
If you don't know who "Gorgeous"
is check out #8. lol
#12
Thankful that we have had bunnies
hanging out in our yard multiple
times a day all this week, but only
one at a time, so we thing they both
must be coming out, just at different
times of the day, and we can't tell
one from the other. lol. Have not seen
them both at the same time since
last weeks post. Even when we go
out there, they don't run away, and
sometimes I talk to them, but they
just sit there unless I try to go
closer and then they will hop off
in the woods. lol But I think they
feel safe here in our yard evidently,
cause we never chase after them.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week
Have a Happy Mother's Day Weekend
Thanks for spending some time
with us today!
Love, Hugs and
Mother's Day Blessings,
Nellie
