Thankful Thursday November 5, 2026, and previous Thanksgiving Table

See to it, brothers and sisters,
that none of you has a sinful,
unbelieving heart that turns away
 from the living God.

Hebrews 3:12

Greetings Sweet Friends,

How are you today??

Doing okay, I hope, know some of you

are probably bummed out by the election

results. Have to say we were shocked,

but we are thankful to know God has

not left his throne, and none of this

was a shock to him, and He is the one

who holds our future.

Pictures today are from a previous

Thanksgiving table from 2015, just in

case you are looking for Thanksgiving

table ideas, Like I am. Got some of

the ideas for this tablescape off a

 Better Homes and Gardens magazine

cover, and I had a bunch of Fall leaves

that we preserved years ago when

 our Daughter lives in Asheville.

So was a perfect idea.....

Simple yet elegant.

See the original post here

 if you'd like.

So on with my Thankfuls......

#1

Thankful that we got some questions

answered from the kids about Thanksgiving

and Christmas.  Which makes it a bit

easier to start planning since we are

now in November.

#2

Thankful our Thanksgiving menu is

planned, and we do a gift exchange

for Christmas, so we have drawn

the names.  So a couple of things

off my list early.  Which is nice.

#3

Thankful hubby got those new

Christmas lights that stay up all year,

that way he doesn't have to be

getting up on the ladder every year,

which is not the safest thing at

our age.

#4

Thankful for a nice time at our Son

and lil darlings house last night. We got

take out Mexican food and it was

really good., an so Great to get to see

them and to get out of the house

 as well.

#5

Thankful we are experiencing a

Sun Shower right now.  That is... it

is raining and the sun is shining.

Love seeing that, as it is sort of

a rare sight, but interesting as well.

#6

Thankful for our dear, long time

(about 43 + years), Sweet friend

Sharon, she is turning 80 yrs. old

today. She was a Halloween baby.

Her family had a lovely party for her

and she had a number of surprise

out of town visitors.  So nice.

So wishing her many many more

years of good health and happiness.

#7

Thankful for the feel of our wood

laminate floors on my bare feet.  lol

Don't go barefoot that often, but

love when I do............lol

A simple pleasure!!

#8

Thankful we got a referral for some-

one to paint our house. He came out

today and checked us out, so just

waiting to get the estimate, but not

sure he can do it until the New Year.

Was hoping for sooner......so will see.

Very nice fellow...

#9

Thankful that a disagreement at

church got worked out, and folks

are unified as they should be.

#10

Thankful I was able to refresh my

guest bath with pinecones and faux

amber berries, since all the Beauty

berries have mostly died off. I love

them but they don't last all of Fall

unfortunately.

#11

Thankful for our Son. Today is his

birthday. Since he is working at home,

we are gonna take him lunch and then

paint lil darlings bathroom. Hopefully

we can finish today, and hopefully

it will make his birthday a lil special,

since we aren't gonna celebrate it

until Thanksgiving and we can all

be together.  His Choice!!  lol

#12

Thankful we did finish the painting !!

We are thrilled but didn't get to see the

results yet. Our Son had it all prepped

for us, as he had spackled, painted

the ceiling, and sprayed some orange

peel on the walls, as some didn't have

that for some reason. He still had

some touch up he wanted to do, so

couldn't unveil in yet but when he is

done we can see the finished product.

But very happy we finished and can't

wait to see it and for lil darling to

see it as well.

That's it for Cozy Place this week.

Glad you could come by

and

Hope you are enjoying November!

Love, Hugs

and First of November

Blessings,

Nellie
