Thankful Thursday, October 27,2016, Fun Fall kitchen Table 2016

Praise the LORD.
Blessed are those who fear the LORD,
who find great delight in his commands.
Psalm 112:1

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you have had a great
week and that maybe you
have had cooler temps than
before now......

We have been having them
here at least at night...we are
going into the 60's now and
our daytime temps are in the
low 80's, so feeling a bit more
like Fall now...

We have been away since last
Tuesday and just came home
this passed Monday night, so
just been unpacking, catching up
on the mail, watching lil darling,
and getting back into the swing
 of things.....

Also got the Premier Issue of
"magnolia Farms" that Chip and
Joanna Gaines just put out.
Got it once I got home, as we
couldn't find any in S.C., not
that we looked all that many
places, but Barnes and Nobles
was sold out, and Harris Teeter
if they ever got any to start
with....lol  Have to say hubby
and I both enjoyed it,  a very
warm and uplifting magazine.
Will probably ask for a sub-
scription for Christmas or
our Anniversary which is
coming up soon.  lol

Well, will get on with my list.
Just added a few shots of a
fun Fall kitchen table I did with
the flowers our neighbor gave
us, pretty white mini pumpkins
from Publix, and some left over
paper goods from our Fall get
 together a few weeks ago.......
We found it enjoyable anyway,
 and thought you might too...lol

I am thankful........

#1
that we got to go to Charleston to
see our daughter Dee and  hubby,
Jerry.  A much shorter trip than
originally planned, but at least we
 finally got to go.....after being
delayed by the hurricane.

#2
for a good visit there, and for fun
 times visiting and drinking coffee,
as we sat out in their pretty back-
yard in the cool of the morning and
evening. That was a very unexpected
surprise, as their temps have pretty
much been the same as ours here
in Fljust a degree less.....
But it was shady and breezy in
the morning and evening so we
hardly noticed the warm weather,
so thankful for that....as Dee and
I were both mourning the loss of
the nice weather in Asheville.
So it was a very pleasant and
very welcome surprise.

The way their backyard looks
reminds me so much of Key
West, they have a picket fence,
 gravel walkways, palm trees
and a lovely breeze.

#3
for the new adventure of finding
our way around this new place,
as they are learning as well....
and seeing some new sights.
Lots of houses look like Key
West houses too......hubby and
I both grew up in the Keys, so
that is a bit of nostalgia for us.

#4
that they are loving their new
house/home. They went from a
 Craftsman style home in Ashe-
ville, N.C. to a quaint Cottage
style home in South Carolina.
It looks like Chip and Joanna
from Fixer Upper and the
Property brothers did the
reno together............

#5
for how friendly and warm the
people of Charleston are.  We
didn't meet or see one person
who was not lovely.  All the
restaurant workers, neighbors
and shop workers, and workers
that they had at their home,
were all just as nice as they
could be............
Dee has already had 3 young
women reach out to her.  So
hoping she will soon be able
to get together with them.
Since she was away for a wk,
and then we came for 5 days,
then she is getting more
company this weekend, so
hopefully next week it will
happen................

#6

that we had a safe trip there and
back, and that we could travel
and get out at places together,
and stop to eat, as the last few
trips before we had our sweet
kitty Molly with us, so we could
not do that.  Also the the trip
was shorter....5 1/2 hrs. vs
 9 1/2 hrs.
 So that is quite nice...........

#7
that we got our porch all put back
together and our Fall decorations
back up out front of our house, that
we had to take down due to the
hurricane.  We decided to leave
them the way they were until we
 returned from Charleston,  just in
 case something else developed.

#8
that Dee had an interviews on Mon-
day and Tuesday, and she felt like
they went well.  The Tuesday one
she pretty much has the job if she
wants it,  the other she will have
to wait 3 weeks to hear back.
Both are only 1 day jobs, that
she can still do real estate if she
desires........

#9
for an amazing hot pink, salmon and
gray sunset.  Don't think I have ever
seen anything like it,  so gorgeous.

#10
that hubby was able to fix Scott
and Megans fridge. It froze up
for some reason, and Scott was
out of town,  so hubby to the
rescue.....He loves that!! Think
he might be Megans Hero now
too.........lol

#11
for restaurant gift cards that we
get with our discover points. we
save them up for trips....so it is
like free dinners out.

#12
that our young married coworkers
have volunteered to do the Christ-
mas Party again this year. Not that
I don't want to....but it is just hard
as we have to work around work
 and family schedules and don't
know real far in advance as to
what is gonna happen when. lol
Not complaining, just saying!!

Well, here's to another week at
Cozy Place!!

Thanks for stoppin by.....

and

Keep your light shining
Brightly......

Love, Hugs and
Cool weather Blessings,
Nellie

  2. #1. I know you're glad you don't have as long a journey since they have now moved to S. Carolina from N. Carolina!
#2. Oh, wow! Palm trees? How do they keep them alive when the freezing weather comes?
#3. Looks like Key West, but the weather is S. Carolina, ha!
#4. Did you get any pictures?
#5. I remember that was how it was here when we first moved from Key West to here. Now, it has changed somewhat. It always seems the further north you go the kindness is more abundant.
#6. I surely missed taking care of her for you. I still miss my Sarah kitty, of course Cody and Katy keep me busy with their antics, ha!
#7. Nothing like doing it twice, lol!
#8. Maybe she will get to work for both the jobs and her reality too!
#9. We have had the clouds moving in and out so fast. It really is pretty at sunset!
#10. Yea! Jim was paying attention to dad when dad would fix things, ha! I thank him for all he has done for me too!
#11. Aren't they great to have! I always enjoy mine! I still have some from some time back and they are still accepted when I use them!
#12. Yea! It's not a complaint, but a thanksgiving of blessing to them!
    I love you all, Susan

  4. Hi Susan,
Yes, it was a much better drive for sure. So far, the temps in Charleston are pretty much
like ours, so don't think they get a lot of freezing weather since they are right on the coast. We did take pics of the outside, but she hasn't really gotten to do too much inside
yet, so figured we would wait till next time. She has to wait for her window shades to come
before she can figure out where she wants curtain rods so that she knows where to hang things
Doesn't want to be putting more holes in the wall than she needs. We did hang a few things that we could.
Well, thanks for coming by and for your warm comments.
    Love, Nellie
