Thankful Thursday, September 4, 2025, And beautiful summer flowers
Morning Sweet Friends,
and Happy September to you all,
Hope this finds you well and maybe
experiencing a lil cooler weather!
We were supposed to, but haven't
seen that yet!! lol
Pictures today compliments of
Pixabay. Beautiful Summer
Flowers for you!! Enjoy!!

Thankful for our lil brown bunny and
that he is still around and safe. He has
been very feisty lately, and running around
and we find him quite entertaining!!
Course, we are easily entertained!! lol
#2
Thankful for our beautiful home of
many years. It has been such a blessing.
#3
Thankful our Spring/Summer decor is all
packed away, and the Fall decorating
can now begin.
#4
Thankful to have been contacted by someone
who is gonna be running for an Interim
commissioner position in our city, (the
current person resigned) and we didn't
even know about it, until I got an email.
We were able to have a chance to share
that we would like to have him take that
place, as he used to be a Commissioner
for our city before and did a good job,
So hopefully he will be the choice!
#7
Thankful that I have gotten all my Fall
things out and have gotten started
on my Fall decorating. I enjoy
this so much...........
#8
Thankful for a lil Guava Pie hubby
saw at the grocery store and bought
for me. He knows I like Guava, and
it was my first time to ever have it
and it was really good. Thankful
he surprises me with things like
that at times. Always nice to get
a sweet surprise!

Thankful once again for my handy hubby.
We have had this bad odor coming out of
our sink drain in the bathroom. He did
some research and decided it must be
coming from what they call the P- trap.
So he got a new one and replaced it.
Like magic that foul smell is gone.
Halleleujah! My Hero............

Thankful that we had to call our A/C
company because our A/C fan just
kept running 24 hrs. a day, fortunately,
they told us our warranty was running
out in just 3 days on Labor Day. So
they had to order the parts and would
come out next Tuesday to fix it. Mean
while, thankfully we still had air.....
Note: Well, they came back out on
Tuesday as they said they would, only
the technician said he was told they had
to ask for $1440 before they installed
it in case, the A/C company didn't pay
the warranty, and that we would get the
money back if they paid.
Our response was of course, what??
It was in warranty last Friday, so
why would they think they wouldn't
pay it? Anyway, we said No, and
we called the A/C company and they
wouldn't resend their decision, and we
tried several different prompts on
their phone system to try and talk
with someone iin the upper chain
command but every prompt we tried
no one was available, all this while the
technicians were waiting and then
they called the technicians and he
talked to them and they still said we
had to pay the $$, so we of course said
No, and they left. We have been with
this Company for almost 45 yrs. and
they have installed 3 A/C units in our
home over that time, and we have our
A/C serviced every year and we have
referred many people to them as they
have always given us exemplary service,
so this was disappointing and almost
felt like a slap in the face, but we
believe the Lord is in this situation
especially because we called about
this problem and we didn't even
know it was about to go out of our
warranty. So we are giving it a
day or two, and hubby is drafting
a letter to them, which we will send
so they must sign for it, and then
we will go from there. hoping
for the best...........and thankful
and interested to see what the
Lord is up to in this circumstance.

Thoughts to Ponder
Happy Tuesday Sweet Friends,
Now, this is gonna be a sort of funny
Thoughts to ponder
but think you might get a kick out of it!!
Does anyone like the sound or word Butt.???
I really don't, it just sort of sounds a bit crude
to me, but then it does seem a bit formal
saying Buttocks, which doesn't sound all
that great either.
So I remembered that when I was a kid and
no one fluently used the word Butt very much,
or at least I don't even remember using it or
even hearing it, so unlike today!!
My Mom used rear or rear end or sometimes
called it Derriere, pronounced Duh rerry.
Unfortunately, she didn't have google trans-
lator to show her the correct pronunciation.
So remembering that.... I put in the word
Butt and asked it to translate to French,
and there is was
"Derriere"
and it just has such a nice sound to it.
Pronounced "dairy air"
Think about how nice this sounds.
He is such a derriere
Wow, she has quite a large derriere
I hurt my derriere when I fell
You could almost insult someone with
out their even knowing it....but wouldn't
recommend that!! lol
I think it just really elevates the Derriere
to where it should be, after all.... it gets
pressed into use every single time...
we sit down!
I have decided to start a new trend....
So it's "Derriere" for me... from now on.....
Please join me in my new trend
and make the world a better place!!
Laughter and Hugs to Yall,
Nellie

Thankful Thursday August 28, 2025, and Things with scallops at our house
On with my Thankfuls.....
#1
It is with a sad, but Thankful heart that I feel so blessed to have known and been inspired and taught via videos and books
a Wonderful Christian Man named
James Dobson @ Focus on the Family Ministries.
He passed away today, and will be sorely missed by any and everyone who knew him. His ministry was incredibly helpful to us as a young married couple and also for our continued growth in the Lord.
He has gotten his promotion to heaven and is with his Lord.
Praying for his family and friends.

Thankful we got to pick lil darling up from school
and take her to Volley ball practice. This is a new
thing for her, and she seems to be enjoying it,
some of her friends are involved as well, which
is good. Also for dinner out with she and
her Dad (our Son).
#3
Thankful for another good school day,
and another one on Monday.
#4
Thankful for a delicious pasta salad recipe
that is perfect for a crowd. I learned it
from my friend, Arlene who passed away
from Ovarian cancer about 4 -5yrs ago.
Sure do miss her, she was such a good friend,
so positive, encouraging and unplifting.
Gonna make the salad for a church dinner
on Sunday. I will say, it is a bit expensive
to make, had forgotten about that, but if
you'd like to give it a try.
Had this bowl a long time too.
#5
Thankful for food in my fridge and pantry,
and for foods made with good oils.
#6
Thankful for another great Sunday
at church. This week, after service,
we had a going away dinner for a young
couple whoare moving to Indonesia soon as
Missionaries. Daniel and Karis are
just the sweetest couple and they will
surely be missed in our congregation.
Had this platter a long time.
#7
Thankful that they had such a good
send off, and have and were definitely
bathed in prayer many times.
#8
Thankful for a fun sleepover with lil
darling, as it's been awhile. We went
out to dinner, got frozen yogurt and
played some "Sorry" and "Skipbo"
and watched an animal program, and
got up to a new day and had breakfast
and another good school day.
#9
Thankful that I have taken down all our
Spring /Summer Decor to get ready for our
Fall stuff..............Love doing this!! So
ready for a change of scenery.
#10
Thankful for a good report at the Dentist.
I do have to have a filling but down the road,
but not a big deal.
time too. If you have been following
me long, you have seen these on
lots of tables...............lol
This Fall you will see them on
plates stand.
#11
Thankful for my Dentist and all those
who work with her, they are the best.
All of them are so kind and considerate
and personable and helpful, and not
to say professional. I never feel anxious
about going there.
#12
Thankful for a fun time out yesterday,
we went checking at a few places to
check out bathroom vanities, as we
are in need of one, but didn't find any
thing really, but did run into a guy that
works at Home Depot who does kitchens
but can maybe do our bathroom too.
Which was great as we have no idea
who to use.....we do have the name of
someone else, but not sure he does the
whole process, he just builds cabinets.
We have done just about anything that
needs to be done in our home all these
years, so sometimes we don't have a
clue who to call, cause we want some
one we know will do a good job, and that
is not always easy to find. So praying
about the fellow at Home Depot, he
was really nice. So hoping the Lord
was the one to put this fellow in our
path..............
This is new too, an accidental find
and it was 40% off. Gonna enjoy
pressing these new pieces and
the old ones into my Fall Decorating.

Well............that's it for Cozy Place
today!!
Glad you were here...
and
Have lovely days
for the rest of the week

Thankful for a new dessert recipe I saw on another blog. It's called a chocolate layer
dessert and it looks amazing. Got all the
stuff to make it this week, cause a friend
was supposed to come over, but it didn't

when we are gonna have company cause
it makes a lot...too much for just us
You can find it at
where you can print out the recipe.
