Thankful Thursday October 2, 2025, and more Fall Decor #3

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

Good Morning  Sweet Friends,

and Welcome to October.

Can you believe we are here

already???  Amazing!!!

Not feeling real great this

morning, so gonna make this

opening short.............

Pictures this week are of part 3,

this time our Fallercized

Dining room with the lovely roses

I told you about last week.

So on with my Thankfuls

                           #1

Thankful for the gift of        flowers that bring me, and many others joy and delight, and that God was so good to create them for                     our enjoyment.

#2

Thankful to hear today that

the state of Florida is launching

a study on Ivermectin, to see

if it can cure cancer. Wouldn't

that be wonderful, and we can

thank our wonderful Governor

DeSantis for promoting that,

I am sure!!

Can hardly stand the thought

of losing him as our Governor.

#3

Thankful for a really fun night

going out to dinner with our sweet neighbors and their grandson.

Then we came back to our house

and had dessert and coffee and we

talked until 2:30 a.m. Think that

is the largest amount of time

we have ever spent with them

at one time.  So lots of laughter

and lots of stories. Fun time!

#4

Thankful they introduced us to

 a new Seafood restaurant, that

we had heard about but never been to...it  a small Mom and Pop type

of venue, but have to say the

food was great.

 #5
Thankful for sweet and special memories that we all have at times. Our friends/ neighbors grandson,
who is now 25, and always has been such a sweet kid, seemed so elated   when they came over, as it has been
a long time since he has been here, and he was saying how it
brought back so many memories for him, of when he used to come over
so much when he was younger. He was raised by his Grandparents,
and guess we might have been possibly like another set of
Grandparents for him. It really blessed my heart and brought
back good memories for me too.

#6
Thankful for a good day
in the Lord's house.

#7

Thankful to get my bible back,

Somehow, I  forgot it at church

last  Sunday.

#8

Thankful that Hurricane Imelda

took a turn away from the United  States again. Another answer

to prayer, now Praying it goes

 around Bermuda and does'nt

hit the Island or cause any

damage.

#9

Thankful for this beautiful song

 by Cece Winans, called

 "Come Jesus come".

Anybody else love it too!

#10

Thankful our Daughter came

thru a minimally invasive

surgery on Monday, so now

she just has to recover.  So far,

 so good.

Note: It's the 4th day and she is

feeling much better, and her

worst day was not as bad as

she was prepared for, Thankfully.

That was from all the prayers

from many people I am sure.

Still has recovery time ahead

though.............

         Lil darlings arrangement.

#11

Thankful that someone was

so gracious about a wierd thing

that happened to me on facebook.

I went to like something and

somehow it put an angry face.

I did everything to try and

remove it on my page, but to

know avail,  then I went to

their page and they had 2 of

the same posts, but neither had

an angry face.  So decided to

just call her, and she checked

and didn't see it, but said if

she had she would have thought

it was accidental. Which made

me feel good. Does make me

not want to leave any emojis

on anything!  lol

#12

Thankful for a sweet and gracious email from someone I thought I

had offended, and had sent them an email to apologize, and they wrote back a very gracious email and said

I hadn't offended them, and they

knew me better than that.

Such a relief!!  I think the Lord

has been giving me a quick

course, in how to resolve possible

conflict quickly this week.

Reminds me of this verse in

Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

That's the lesson and that's the goal.

That's it for Cozy Place this week.

Happy to know you were here

and

Have a lovely rest of the week.

Love, Hugs and

First of October Blessings,

Nellie

Thankful Thursday September 25, 2025, Fall decorating #2

There is a time for everything, and a season

for every activity under the heavens:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV

Greeting Sweet Friends,

and Happy Fall to Yall

Not feeling Fallish outside here yet,

but it is inside the house.....lol

Been a good week for the most part,

but my hubby had some issues that

weren't so fun, but he is better now,

just still healing up.  You will read

about it below.

Pictures this week are from our

 Fallercized family room.

So on with my Thankfuls.....

#1

Thankful to be able to go to another

Volley Ball game and out to dinner

with Lil darling and her Dad again.

They won both games again, but it

was an on the edge of your seat game.

Neck and Neck till the last minute.

Very exciting to watch.

#2

Thankful for sunshine,  love getting my

Vitamin D that way too. Feels awesome and boosts your serotonin levels and helps you

keep a lil bit of a tan too.

Note, In case you don't know.... it is really

good for anyone who is struggling with depression to sit out in the sun for about

 10-15 mins. 3-5 times a week , as it

really will help fight depression.

#3

Thankful for a number of long chats with

our Daughter this week.

#4

Thankful that one of our Pastors daughters

sang the National. Anthem at our ball

game,  She also plays volleyball as well.

She did such an amazingly beautiful job,

so proud of her. Her Mom and whole

family are very musically inclined and

very talented... they all sing beautifully.

#5

Thankful that my hubby ran to the

store to get some subs for din din, and

came back with Fall Roses colored

roses as they were on sale, which was

great. as I only pay full price if I just

have to have them for a special table

or something. He had noticed my ones

I got over a week ago had taken

a nose dive. It was wierd cause the

buds were still fine, and had hardly

opened, but they just went limp.

Such a sweet surprise. and now they

look pretty on the dining room table

again, and this time he really did

bring them to me.  lol

#6

Thankful for Publix subs. I get the

Cuban sub and it is always delicious.

#7

Thankful for these wonderful cookies

we found in our Publix bakery, they

are called "Cranberry Orange Short

bread cookies", and they are really

delicious.

#8

Thankful to be able to watch and be

blessed by Charlie Kirk's Memorial

Service. It was amazing to see all the

people that were there..... over 90-100

thousand in attendance, and 8 million +

watched on Newsmax.  We watched

it on TBN, so no telling how man

watched on TBN and other media.

So many folks that had nothing but

great things to say about him and how

he had touched their lives. It was truly

like watching a revival unfold before

your eyes. We could feel the Lord's

presence there, even in our home.

Such an inspirational gathering.

#9

Thankful to know the peace. comfort

and joy that can only come from the

Lord, during times like these.

#10

Thankful hubby was able to get an

appt. with the Dr. tomorrow, as he

has a very Angry Sebaceous cyst

on this back.  Just flared up over

the weekend.

Note:  Went to Dr. and they cleaned

it out, but in 6 weeks or so, he will

have to have it removed. Dr. tried to

get it out but it wouldn't come with

out surgery, unfortunately, but hopefully

it will be feeling better by tomorrow.

#11

Thankful I came across an old

blog post with a recipe for chicken

and cheese enchiladas that we liked

but some how forgot about, so made

them for din din tonight and they were

sooo good, if I do say so myself. It is

an easy recipe, and I loved that I could

doll mine all up with lettuce, tomatoes,

scallions and cilantro, sour cream and

Guacamole. We have been missing some

of those ingredients on Mexican food

when we eat out or they barely put any

on....and altho I liked the food, not as

well as what I made tonight....

Cause I had it my way!!! lol

Click here to get the recipe.

Oh Poo, just realized I should

 have taken a picture cause

 the recipe doesn't have one.

#12

Thankful hubby is feeling better as

he was having considerable pain with

that cyst, even after they lanced it.

That's it for Cozy Place today.

Thankful Thursday September 18, 2025, and Fall decorating at Cozy Place #1

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with  all of you.        2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV

Morning Sweet Friends,
It's been quite a week of emotions for us,
and I would imagine for you and yours
as well. Hard to believe it has only been
a week since the assassination of Charlie
Kirk, but such a whirlwind of things good
and bad that have happened that we could
have never imagined. Even in the bad
times there is still much to be thankful
for.....

Pictures today are of Fall decorating at Cozy Place,
which is one thing I have been up to for the past
week or so, and happy to be enjoying now! lol
I draw enjoyment and inspiration from some
of yalls decorating and hope you will have the
same good experience that I have, so today
I am showing you are living room.

So....On with my Thankfuls.

#1

Thankful we got to go to lil darlings Volley Ball

game this week,  unfortunately because she is

a newbie on the team she didn't get play, which

is hard for her, but that's typically how it is....

but her team did win, so that was nice.

Then we went out to dinner with she and her

dad, our Son.  Was a good time as always,

#2

Thankful for some lovely orange roses and

2 white baby boo pumpkins I found at the

grocery store. I teased my hubby that I

was gonna put them on facebook.... and say

"Look what my hubby brought me... these

 beautiful fall roses"..........and make him

 look good!!  lol

well, he did pay for them @ checkout......

It's sort of a joke with us, because I hear some

people say things (I think sometimes out of

sour grapes) that people put stuff on facebook

to make things look better than they really

 are...or to make others jealous.

#3

Thankful I finally finished my Fall decorating!!

We are really enjoying the look of Fall, inside our

house at least!!  lol  Cooler weather is coming but it

will be closer to the end of October probably.

Now gotta pack away the leftovers and get it out to

the garage and vacuum and it will be a done deal

 for a few months...........

For the last 5 years I have thought, I am not

gonna do as much this year, but I have such a

collection from over the 45 yrs. we have lived here,

and decor pcs. that I love and so many have been

given to me, by those I love, and  I enjoy the

creativity of decorating, that when it comes

down to it,  I just can't seem to help myself.

It's sort of a trip down memory lane. lol

Note: Every thing put away, and house

vacuumed, so we are happy campers.

#4

So thankful to be able to go back to church

this morning.  After being home for 2

Sundays it seemed like months.  It was

a great service and Pastor Juan is teaching

on marriage for the next few weeks.

A much needed subject especially for many

young marriages.

#5

Thankful that I met 2 separate lil teenage

girls at church today.  One has been coming

for about a year and the other one, it was

her first  time and she came alone, only

16 yrs. old.  So we asked if she would like

to sit with us and she did.  They were

both adorable young ladies.

#6

Thankful we got to go out with our lunch

buddies today too. Had a fun lunch with

lots of laughter, and it was neat that her

103 yr. old Dad was back with us.  He

had taken a trip up north to visit her

sister and other relatives. They had a

birthday party for his sister she was

100 yrs. old, and she passed away just

2 days later, and he has another sister

who is 97 yrs, old.  They sure have a

lot of longevity in their family, which

is neat............they must have done a

great job of honoring their parents.

(Ref: Exodus 20:12 from the bible)

#7

Thankful for the opportunity to buy a

stranger's lunch while we were at the

restaurant. He was an elderly man....

I say that like I am not....lol  He had

forgotten his wallet in the car, and left

his phone on the table so they know he'd

be back, and we have always wanted to

do that, so we jumped at the chance.

He was very surprised and grateful,

and a blessing to us too.

#8

Thankful for Bacon, lettuce, and tomato

sandwiches for breakfast.  I love them,

but rarely think to eat them for some reason.

As kids, we used to eat them a lot.

#9

Thankful for a sweet blast from my past.

It happened just as I was finishing my

decorating.  I was doing the top of my

china hutch and I had put a book up

their a long time ago to put something

on top of it, but had to take it down as

it was in the way, and saw that it was

an old book from when I was a kid so

I opened it and my Mom had written

something inside, which I don't ever

remember seeing before and it was

a reminder to me of the sweet Mom

I grew up with.....she has been gone

about 20 yrs. now, but when I was in

my early 20's my Mom had a tragic

incident and was never the same after

that, so even tho we loved her still

our relationships with her were very

difficult most of the time, but we know

she is in heaven and I know that our

relationship will be perfect when I see

her next time...........looking forward

to that!!

#10

Thankful for another sweet blast from

the past this morning. Was dusting in

my china hutch this morning, and I

remembered some years back when

my china hutch just imploded on me.

I was stunned because it was just all

of a sudden and very loud, but the

Lord protected me and spoke to me

about the loss of the broken things.

Love these reminders of his goodness.

#11

Thankful that today is the 58th Anniverary

of some of our dearest friends.  We have

known each other 40+ years. They are a

great testimony of a good marriage.

#12

Thankful that another friend who lives

alone and was trying to decide if she

should retire or not, because she was

feeling like "what am I gonna do with

myself"  She finally asked the Lord,

how long do you want me to work?

cause she is gonna be 79 soon.  Two

days later her boss came to her and

said they were gonna downsize her

to part time because their enrollment

was down.  She is already working

from home, so will just continue that.

That is a great way to ease into her

retirement.  She was very happy for

that quick answer to prayer and

direction............

Well....that's it for Cozy Place

this week.

Happy you spent some time with us

and

Hope you have a good rest of the week.

Love, Hugs and

Mid September Blessings,

Nellie
