Greetings Sweet Friends,

Wow, only a week until Thanksgiving,

can you believe it.....

Hope you are doing well and getting

ready for next week.  Always a lovely

time with family.

I am coming along still, not quite there

yet, but doing oh so much better!!

These things take time, and pacing of

strength and energy!  Doing my best

to trust the Lord that we will be ready

especially for Christmas, cause our girl

and boy from South Carolina and our

furry grandson Dog will be here!!

He has never let us down before!!

Now on with my Thankfuls............

Thankful we got to pick lil darling up from school and

spend some time with her,  and she will be here again

tomorrow to do her school work with us.

Thankful I was able to drive today with

 no problems.

Thankful our Daughter and Son-in-love went up to  their lake house for a long weekend. I Have seen on facebook pics from up there where people have seen the Northern lights.  So hoping that get to see them.

Thankful for another trip to the Chiro Dr.

and lil darling went with us, then we took her

home to her Dad, since she had volley call

practice.  Always fun to have her with us,

and thankful to one step closer to being

done with the pinched nerve issue.

Thankful that afterwards, we went to TJ Maxx

 and looked around, it was so full of goodies

and people. Stayed a few hours till I just got

 so tired and sore all of a sudden, so had to

 leave. We were hoping to go out to dinner,

 but just wasn't up to it.

Thankful that we decided to just order

soup and salad from Olive Garden. It

 made for the perfect Friday night, so

Jumped in my jammies, ate on TV trays

and watched a good Christmas movie

Called "Christmas Time Capsule" on

"Up Faith and Family"

Thankful for a lovely surprise visit on Saturday

 from some long time Vietnamese friends who are

 about 20 yrs. younger than us. He used to work with

 my hubby when he was single and spent quite a few

 holidays with our family. Then the Co. he and hubby

 worked at closed and he got married to a

 really lovely girl and then they moved about an hour 

or more away, so we have kept touch via phone,

text and email and have seen them a few

 times, and can't believe they are now empty nesters.

 So it was such a delight to see them as they are just

 the sweetest kids, and wow, do they have a God

story.  We are just so proud of them.....

It was truly a blessed afternoon.

Thankful to be back in church today as it has been about 6 weeks. It really was so good to be there in person, as we have been watching online since this pinched nerve situation. I am a bit sore, so about to relax and use my heating pad!!  lol

It was so good to see everyone!!

Thankful we got some take out from Tijuana flats, 

 it was really yummy, as we haven't had anything

 from there in a long time. Quite Satisfying!!

Thankful for a couple of more Christmas movies 

we watched.  They were both so good. One

was called "

Thankful we got to have lil darling for schooling

today, and to spend some time with.  She is such

a gift and always a bright spot in our day.

Thankful we got our family room furniture

moved around yesterday, so we can put our

faux tree up, so we will be ready for Christmas

decorating on Friday after Thanksgiving.

Gives us a lil jump on things!

Thankful Thursday November 13, 2025, and Fall desserts

Hope this finds you well and happy

and enjoying some cooler weather.

I am feeling so much better and

more like myself again. I still have

another month of Chiropractic care

twice a week, but making ground

every day,  Praise the Lord.

On with my Thankfuls.....

Thankful for our Sweet and Smart Son

and what a wonderful Dad he is to 

lil darling..........

and Thankful we got to celebrate his

birthday with him and lil darling.  It

was a lil different this year because I

couldn't make his birthday dinner or

go out, but we just got take out and made

it a bit easier,  but think he enjoyed it

just the same......and it was a special

blessing to all of us, as we hadn't seen

each other in a month, which seemed

like a year to me!!  lol

Thankful that I am doing so much better,

Have been up more and able to do some of

 my normal routine things again, but still

 have to be careful not to set that nerve off

 again. Dr. says to be careful of twisting

 and bending.

Thankful to be sleeping in our bed most

of the time this week.  A real treat!! lol

Thankful that Friday was our

55th Anniversary.  

We of course, didn't plan anything

cause I am not wanting to sit on any

thing hard till I can find a cushion

to take with me,  plus they were bringing

us dinner from the meal train as well.

So I was teasing that my Chiropractor 

visit was my Anniversary Gift,  lol

Hubby did get me more beautiful orange

roses and a lovely card. Love them, and

we did watch a 56 yr. old movie, that

we saw on our first blind date together.

"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

and our song, from that movie became

 "Raindrops keep falling on my head"

 from B.J. Thomas

Thankful that after my chiro appt.

yesterday we had to look for big bandaids

for hubbies back where he had the cyst

removed, so we went to Target. Cannot

tell you how much fun that was after

not going in a store of over a month, 

and it's been way longer than that for

going to Target.  They were playing

Christmas music and had a lot of 

Christmas things out and we didn't 

even got thru the whole store cause

we had to be home by 4, and we ran

into our lunch buddy friends so were

talking with them for awhile and I

was getting sore, so we had to go,

but the was just such a bright spot

in our Day!

Thankful and Amazing to me

 how something as small and short

 as that was, but what it did for

 my spirit, and can't even say

 my spirit was low cause they

really weren't, but it just spoke fun

to my spirit anyway!!

Can't wait to go back again!!  lol

Thankful that our daughter sent us

an Anniversary card, from our shop,

via phone........and it was a card I 

made, but it was as tho someone else

made it, that was just so surreal to

me, and so sweet, and they also sent

 us a restaurant gift card as well.

Also our Pastor must have heard

and he sent us a text to let us know

he was praying for us and wished us

happy Anniversary,.  Love how the

Lord uses seemingly small things to

bless our hearts........and how He 

really does work in mysterious ways.

my Daughter.

Thankful for a sweet video from lil darling

this morning telling me about an answer

she wrote about the Chronicles of Narnia.

  That was a first of many I hope.

It was funny cause I was just about to

try and call her because I had a funny

dream about her and her lil dog Lola

that I wanted to share with her.

Thankful that the Dr. said I can pretty

much do my normal routine things now,

just I need to be careful twisting or bending.

Think I will still need theraphy for 2X a week 

for another month, then they will re-evaluate

me. Starting to do a lil bit of stretching

 exercises and more walking as well.

Getting there,  slow but sure!!  lol

Thankful to be able to make my first

batch of Beef Stew for the season.

Smelling yummy,  can hardly wait

to have some. We are 48 degrees

right now,  and loving it.

Note: Have to say the Beef Stew was

so so good, and I wound up making

 some Chili last night for today, I only 

make both dishes most of the time in

 Fall/Winter. Which keeps them special

 and fun to look forward to.......

Thankful that my devotional took me

to John chapter 14 this morning, and

I love it was the words of Jesus, so I

read thru chapter 17.  Love reading

His words (in red letters in my bible)

It is just so encouraging and reassuring.

and Belated Welcome to November.........

Wow, Thanksgivng is right around 

the corner, my only thoughts about

 it so far, is what can we do if I am

 still not up to doing Thanksgiving

din din.  Since I am feeling better,

 guess, I better start thinking about

what I can do, just maybe an easier

 version. There will only 5 of us, 

since our SC kids can't be here till

 Christmas.

Thankful for 2 more  trips to the Chiropractor which makes me 2 step closer to being well.  Course, the day afterwards doesn't necessarily feel that way cause I am so sore, but then the next day is better, so I am coming along.

Thankful that I am no longer using the walker and all

seems to be going well..........for the last 6 days.  YAY!

Thankful for the lovely post roast and veggie dinner a

friend from our church brought tonight.  Every bite was

delicious and her pot roast reminded me of my Mom's.

Also nice to get to visit with her for a short while too,

so that was very nice.

Thankful that our kids are having a fun time in South 

Carolina, and my daughter fills me in on what they

are doing at times,  which is sweet.  Cause would so

love to be there, as you can imagine!!

Thankful to really be enjoying the cooler weather,

So refreshing from all that heat, still getting

to 80 later in the day, but it's still great.

Thankful for all the people the Lord has used

to help us during this time, from prayer warriors,

to family members, to Drs., to friends bearing

 food or phone calls and texts.  It has all

been such a blessing during this time.

Thankful that after I started this post

and was talking about Thanksgiving,

hubby and I put our heads together

and came up with an easy Thanks-

giving dinner plan. So it will be easy

and delicious, and if we want to add

to it, we could do that too, if we want.

Thankful for these cool fall days

for ever how long they last.  We 

opened all our windows and doors

and let in all the cool fresh air.

It was wonderful!!

and we sat out of the porch as well.

Thankful hubby was able to get out and mow 

the lawn, since he isn't having to tend to

 me constantly. He has truly been amazing

in his care for me.

Thankful that our Son and lil darling got back

 from SC safe and sound and that they all had

 a great time together as always.

Thankful hubby had his cyst removed

this week, and it went well,  he has been

in pain the day of and the day after

was better, but as the day wore on it

was worse, hopefully tomorrow it will

much better.

Thankful to hear from some of our best long 

time friends,  that their Son who is in his 

40's is getting married, and they really 

love their new Daughter in love to be. 

 So happy for him and them.

Thankful to run into the grown up Daughter

 of an old friend today when we ran into 

the grocery store for a few mins. (My 1st 

outing to anywhere but the chiro's office. lol)

Haven't see her for years.......so it was a delight.

She is beautiful and sweet just like her Mom,

  and she has a 10 and l4 yr. old.  Oh My,

 how the years do pass.  Could hardly believe that.

We are.... here in Central Florida.....

it has long been awaited,

we are 54 degrees this morning.  YAY! 

 Finally, course, it will warm up to 72 

as the day goes on, but hey, 

we are hap hap happy!!

 That is perfect weather as far as we

Floridians are concerned.

On with my Thankfuls....

Thankful that hubby loves gadgets, and about 3 yrs ago saw this thing called a "Liberty Lift" that is used to help someone get up off the floor or out of a chair. So a few years back when our friend broke her knee cap and was laid up, he ordered one for her and one for us. I will tell you, that lil gadget has been priceless during this time for me and for him as well as he was pulling me by hand and it was starting to hurt his back, and then we remembered that gadget, and started using it, it has made such a difference.

Thankful that our church set up a meal train for us last night, So we will be getting dinner Wed. and Friday already.  That will be so helpful.

Note: if you haven't been by recently I

have been suffering with a pinched

nerve in my back. Getting better

tho every day.  Just a slow process.

#3 and 4

Thankful that my Daughter was talking with a co-worker that had 2 herniated disks in her 20's and she is 60 now, and only has had a problem with it one other time in all those years,  They used traction therapy or decompression therapy I think is the new name for it, and she said that was what worked the best.  So that was very encouraging to hear especially since a herniated disk is worse than a bulging disk, and also is what I have, and that is the theraphy they are using on me.

Thankful too, that this lady told her about these portable grab bars you can use in your shower, that are really sturdy and safe and said they have been using them for 20 years for her parents. So hubby bought some on amazon and I mean they really stick, to the tile.  They do tell you to pull on them just to test them before you get in just as a precautionary, but every time we do they  are on there very strong.  What is nice too, is you can take them with you when you travel as well.  They are called "Taili Grab bars".

Thankful for a phone call from our lunch buddies. She rec'd the email about the meal train, and was shocked cause they thought we were away visiting with our Daughter, because that was our plan... but the Lord had other plans. Great to hear from her, and to know they are praying, and that we can pray for them as well, as they have some things going on too. We have plenty of time to pray that is for sure

Thankful that our Son and lil darling

will be going to SC to visit our Daughter

(his sister)and her hubby soon.  She

is really looking forward to it, as always.

We love they all have such a great time

 together.

Thankful for a sense of humor.

I just had what I think is a hilarious

random thought, as I was eating

a McDonald burger.

I was thinking how funny would it

be for President Trump to announce

that he was going to build his own

MacDonalds right next to the

bowling alley that Pres.Nixon

put in years ago!  lol

Thankful to be able to sit out in the sun

for a lil bit today,  It felt Amazing, as it

has been almost a month, and it was

fun to hear familiar sounds like cars 

going by and planes overhead, and

feel gentle breezes blowing and to see

some dragon flies. Reminded of more

things we can so easily take for granted

but that bless our souls in sweet ways.

Thankful that I was able to sleep in

bed on my back all night. That is

another first in this situation, and

has been almost a month as well.

Thankful to be feeling that I might

have turned the corner on this thing.

Such a joyful feeling.....

Thankful for the lovely young lady

 who brought us a pasta dish yesterday,

as part of the meal train. 

 I had met her before but it was about

 a year of so ago, so of course did not

 remember her name. I recognized her

 face, but just didn't know her name.

 Turned out we knew her hubby but only 

his first name. We have 2 church services,

 and they go to first one, we go to the

 2nd one, so that's why we haven't seen 

her in awhile.  Anyway, it was lovely

to get to spend an hour with her and

get to know her a lil more.

Thankful for the lovely pasta dish she brought to us ....it was very enjoyable and filling, and we have more for another meal, and so sweet she brought it to us, even tho she doesn't really know us. I know the Lord will bless

her for it.
