Thankful Thursday January 29, 2026, and pics of Winter decorating at our house

“The Ancient of Days took his seat.

His clothing was as white as snow.”

Daniel 7:9 NIV

Chilly Greetings Sweet Friends,

I hope where ever you live you are safe and sound and are able to keep warm, and have enough food to sustain you and yours.  Praying for all of you in the storm affected areas. As well as all the linemen and tree surgeons for safety as well. What unsung heroes they all are!! Our chilly week began on Monday, but it is nothing in comparison to up north of us.

Our hearts and prayers truly are with yall.

Pictures today are of our Winter

family room decor for 2026.

You will see we left some cuties out just

because of their sweet faces that

 make us smile....

On with my Thankfuls..............

#1

Thankful to finally be starting on my Winter

Decorating. Most of the Christmas stuff is

packed up and ready to go to the garage,

but left some things out just in case I might

 need them as I decorate.

#2

Thankful that hubby got to go with our Son

and lil darling to her Volleyball tournaments

today.  He was excited,  and they brought

their lil dog Lola over to keep Grammy

company. Then brought take home

dinner and stayed and visited awhile.

#3

Thankful that our Daughter has decided

to manage their own properties for lots

of reasons. The new website just went

live Friday night.  She is only doing the

Lake house right now, as she gets her

feet wet. lol  It is quite an undertaking,

so we are very proud of her.

Here is the new website in case you

would like to take a peek. It is really great,

I have to say.  Click Here

#4

Thankful that our Daughter and

Son-in-love managed to escape the

bad weather system. We are praying

for all those that didn't tho, feeling bad

for everyone that has to go through it, especially the folks in North Carolina.

I am sure after all they have been thru

after Helene, hey are more than

a bit nervous.

#5

Thankful for some direction the Lord

gave me this morning. I was disappointed

once again I could not go to church,

and was listening to a Pastors sermon

anyway I felt in my spirit that the

Lord said this is not about you not being

able to go to church, the enemy is

after your faith, and it was a real

wake up call for me, as I realized all the

negative thoughts that had run thru my

head.

#6

Thankful that I did get some Winter

decorating done while they were at

the volleyball game, more to do but

I would say I am half way there at

least.

#7

Thankful for Ann over at "On Sutton

Place" blog, Cause I just used her

calendar printables, which are so

beautiful, and have used many of her

great printables for years now, and

she has a lovely blog as well,  with

many great ideas and recipes.

If you want to check her out,

Thankful for Chicken, bacon, lettuce and

tomato sandwiches on toasted sour dough

bread, We have been making them off and

on since Christmas. Our Daughter loves

BLT's too, so we had some with deli

chicken we needed to eat up, so after

Christmas, we tried the with chicken...........

and my my, that is some

 good eating!!

#9

Thankful for frozen leftover veggie

soup, and ham and cheese grilled

sandwiches for din din.  Perfect for

the cold weather.  Loving it!!

#10

Thankful that I am pretty much

 finished with my Winter Decorating!!

Now to pack away the rest of

 the Christmas things.  Yay

#11

Thankful for a nice long chat with my

 lovely Daughter.  Always makes us

Happy Girls..............lol

#12

Thankful that my back has been doing

so well. Haven't had to use the heating

pad for days, and finding that I can

bend over more without having back

aches, just still trying to limit that a bit,

but feel like I am getting there for sure.

So Hap Hap Happy about that!!  lol

Still working on the IBS but that is a

chronic situation, so never really goes

away............but good days, bad days.

Love this window, one of my fav seasonal decor tools and it has sentimental value as well, because it came out of our Daughter and Son-in-law's beach house a few years back, when they had the windows replaced.

#13

Thankful for pixabay for all their

pretty free pictures that I fill the

panes of glass with..........
