Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you and yours had a Wonderful Independence Day and a good rest of the week. You will read about ours below.

Pictures today are of random pictures of things I have posted about in the last month or so, but didn't have the pics taken at that time.

On with my Thankfuls..........

#1

Thankful that we got to have lil darling again on Friday. We made some Home made ice cream today! Only 3 ingredients but it was really delicious and easy. She also got to spend a few hours with her lil friend next door again.  So that made her very happy girl again!!

#2

Thankful to hear that the Supreme court has been making some really great decisions lately about our religious freedoms and other wise things as well.

Mothers day present from my Son, that prompted a color change in our kitchen. I went green with some touches of blue. You can't tell it but there is green in the rug.

A few shots of the kitchen.

#3

Thankful that our new friends are headed back today from their trip to Tennessee. They have been gone a few months now, so will be good to see them.

#4

Thankful that we just got good news, as our new friends (in #3) are traveling home, they learned their First and only Grandchild was born early, so they have that to look forward to when the arrive home.  It is a little boy!!  He was 2 weeks early. Mom and baby are doing fine. So happy for all of them.

#5

Thankful to have gotten texts from 3 of my friends today, just catching up. So thankful and appreciative of that.

#6

Thankful for a really good day at church and getting to go to lunch with our friends.

My lettuce starters, I had seen on a someone's blog, and decided to try, but they were overcome by the heat and sadly passed away!!  lol

#7

Thankful to see a couple of really nice young men that we haven't seen in awhile. Both came to church alone, so think that is pretty neat, and that they like talking to old folks like us!  lol

#8

Thankful for fresh strawberry short-cake made with bisquick cake, fresh strawberries, homemade vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.  Um Um Um That is some good eating!

Hubbies cute Mr. Fix it shirt he rec'd for Father's day.

#9

Thankful that we are Americans and that we get to live in this great country of ours, even with all her problems, there is no where else I would want to live. We have so many privileges', blessings and freedoms that so many all over our world do not enjoy, and that's why we need to do everything we can to hang onto those freedoms and blessings by turning our hearts to our Heavenly Father/Jesus so that He can give us His wisdom, direction and help.

#10

Thankful for a nice, quiet yet fun Independence day. We played different card games, got started on a couple of new books we ordered, did a couple of days reading in our chronological bible. We had decided not to grill out cause it was supposed to rain, so we made our fav meal, Salmon, creamy grits and a fruit salad and another round of strawberry shortcake.  Even got to see some unexpected fireworks, right in front of our house. Our neighbors had some pretty impressive roman candle type fireworks, and we watched a movie.

So Thankful for a good day

and for our Great Country.

Yours truly in my pretty pink heels

my sweet daughter got for my birthday.

Thankful to hear some news about the lil Fox we saw when we were at our Daughters house a few weeks back .Actually, a funny story.  I asked my Daughter yesterday had they seen our lil fox that was hanging out around the construction site (across the street from their house), and she said we haven't seen him but we have heard about him and he is still around.  She said she saw on their online neighborhood site, that one of the neighbors just up the block from her, kept posting for a few days about getting a surprise on their rug on the front porch every morning, and wonder who was doing it. Then she wrote that she had seen the culprit on her ring doorbell finally, and she posted a pic of the lil Fox, and the surprise he was leaving was Poop. She was happy to know it wasn't neighborhood kids!!  We think he must have been mad that the construction workers ran him off as he had taken up residence in one of the houses since they left the doors open, so maybe this was pay back, only to the wrong people!!  lol

#12

Thankful for a fun day with lil darling. We played all sorts of games, and did wii bowling, and watched the Christmas cookie challenge and did a lil coastal decorating for Summer in the living room. She enjoys doing that too!!
