Thankful Thursday October 22, 2025, and whimsical scenes of Fall
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Hello Sweet friends,
Hope you and yours are Enjoying
the weekend. Enjoying might be a lil
strong for us, more like enduring our
weekend. lol I am coming along tho,
ever so slowly but seeing progress, so
that is the optimal plan. It truly is
one step forward 2 steps back, so trying my best to not get
discouraged withthe process..............
Pictures are of some cute whimsical
pictures I found on pixabay.

Thankful that I have made some progress this week , still not out of pain, but most of the time it is bearable but still having to be careful. Baby steps.
#2
Thankful to be walking around a lil more, still with the walker.
#3
Thankful to be able to get in our sunken shower and to take a shower and wash my hair.
#4
Thankful that times like these give you a more grateful attitude, as you see how really blessed you are, and how much we take for granted. just being able to get out of bed without help, or tobe able to reach for a toothbrush or hair brush or walking on your own without it hurting.
Very humbling !!

Thankful lil darling got to play in a volleyball tournament this passed weekend, unfortunately we weren'table to attend, and they
didn't win, but she did well every
time she played and best of all she got an award
for "Best Christian Character" .
We are so proud of her!
#6
Thankful to be going back to the chiropractor tomorrow. Really appreciate the Dr. she is very kind and listens very well. The whole staff is really so nice, friendly and helpful.
#7
Thankful for great massages hubby gives me with our Homedic massager which really helps a lot to keep my back limbered up which is very needed in this process.
#8
Thankful for a muscle stimulator they puton me at the chiropractors, it is so relaxing, and we were able to get a small one for home, it doesn't have the same intensity, but it still work to relax the muscles.
#9
Thankful for a traction device they used yesterday, that stretches you, and I haveto say I am feeling better today, and have to go back today cause she (my chiro)wants to see how I did. I am hoping it is a cross between the traction and the prayers of 3 friends that text and called
me yesterday and are praying for me, as I had lil to 0 pain during the night.
That being the first time during this
ordeal, and it was wonderful.
#10
Thankful for a good movie we watched this week
called "Heart srings attached"
on Up Faith and family, very good.
Thankful we saw our brown bunny today, and he had another brown bunny with him. We have only seen them together once or twice about almost a year ago. So that was fun.................

Thankful Thursday October 16, 2025, and Fall decorating part 5
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you and yours
in good health, and doing well.
I am late because it has been
a very rough an painful week,
as I found out last friday I
have sciatica caused by a pinched nerve in my back. I am coming along, but it is very slow going and not able to do much at all.
So just being able to do this
post was progress. Took me 3 days. lol but I really needed
the distraction.
Pictures today are of our Fallercized guest bathroom.
My only time of year to use the
Beauty Berries that grow in our yard.
Just love them, they are just the most beautiful shade of purple.
So on with my Thankfuls
#1
Thankful that I was able
to get into see a chiropractor
last Friday.
#2
Thankful that even tho, I thought this was just my sacarillac being out of place, it turned out to be a pinched nerve in my lower back,
from a bulging disk, and good
we caught it before it turned
into a herniated disc, which is
way worse.
#3
So incredibly Thankful for my sweet hubby who has just been the best care giver I could ever ask for, as I am pretty much
grounded between the sofa and bed, and having to use a walker
to get back and forth to sofa, bed and bath. Most moves I make
are very painful so not able to stand up very long, so he is
having to do everything for the
last 11 days or so. Once again,
my hero and knight in shining armor.
#4
Thankful for my female chiropractor and that hope-
fully they will be able to loosen my back up enough to make
the disc go back in place.

#6
Thankful to be able to go to my Son's yesterday after my
chiro visit to take a shower
and wash my hair. We have a
sunken shower and a bath tub
with shower, and with my leg
being the way it is we are
concerned about falling in one
of them, so didn't want to take
a chance, and realized he has
a walk in shower. Had been
taking sink baths, but couldn't
do my hair. I praise the Lord
for that shower, it felt like
a million dollars!!
#7
Thankful for my first
professional massage yesterday.
It was amazing and got me out
of pain for a lil while. This lady
really knows what she is doing,
It was fabulous, and she was
such a sweet lady and gave
me a lot helpful information.
It was work every penny!!
#8
Thankful I am able to do
this post on hubbies lap top.
sitting on the sofa. As didn't
know if I would even want to
cause I felt so exhausted from
lack of sleep and pain earlier
in the week.
#9
Thankful that we have finally
been able to sleep most of
the night in our bed, the last
3 nights
#10
Thankful that I had taken
these pictures a few weeks ago.
#11
Thankful for distractions like christian music, and Shows like
Better Together and a few movies we watched that were sweet.
"Seasoned with Love" and "A Wisconsin Christmas Pie"
we watched on Up Faith and family and Pureflix.
#12
Thankful to hear all the
hostages were released, it
was gutwrenching yet beautiful
as we watched the reunions.
Praise the Lord they are
home. Praying for their
recovery and for them
and their families,
#13
Thankful once again for
Pres.Trump and his negotiating
saavy and persuasion.
Well, that's it for Cozy
Place this week. This is the
Pinched nerve edition. lol
Thanks for dropping by
and
Have a Wonderful weekend.

Thankful Thursday October 9, 2025, more Fall decor Part 4
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
Hebrews 13:15 NIV
Hello Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you doing better
than I am. It has been a very
rough week for me, as I have been
having some back issues that have been far worse, than any I have
ever had before. In fact, I am typing this standing up in my kitchen at the counter where hubbies set
up his laptop for me so I could at least check my email and
other things, as I have been trying
not to sit at the computer as that seemed to make things worse. It is 5:45 a.m. and I haven't slept a wink as I am just in too much pain and can not get comfortable, no matter what I do...........the last few nights I had taken ibuprophen and slept really well, but was trying to not take it so I could tell how I really was without it in the morning, as today one side of my lower back was better than the other, so thought I was on the way to healing, but
hoping to get an appt. with a new to me, chiropractor, that a good
friend recommended. I feel it is sacroiliac problems, as I have had
that before, and have tried some stretches and stuff which did
help some. This has been going on
since last Friday, but by Monday
it really was curtailing my activities, then seemed to be better
on Tuesday, and Wed. until later
in the day. This has been the worst
day, cause just could not get comfortable so Really hoping to get in to see the Chiropracter
tomorrow, well today actually.
Pictures today are of some Fall
touches to my kitchen. Couldn't do
much else, but was able to take
a few pictures, and right now
my back feels better standing
here typing, that trying to sit or
lay down. lol Probably not
the greatest pics either.
So on with my Thankfuls...
#1
Thankful for a sweet visit with
our Son and lil darling Thursday evening. I wasn't feeling real great
but after a nap and some food, I
felt good enough to have them over for awhile. They always lift my spirits.
#2
Thankful this is the first day
my Daughter has felt good since
her surgery. Have to say she
did really well, and it wasn't
quite as bad as we thought it
would be, but a lot of soreness
for sure. She went back for
recheck with Dr. today and he
felt all was good and she still
needs to take at easy for awhile.
So Thankful for that.
#3
Thankful for family and friends
who have been praying and
checking in on me, as I have been
laid up with my back for 5 days
now. I am better but definitely
not there yet.
I love this lil printable I found online somewhere, I think it's adorable and a bright
spot everytime I come in my kitchen. If you made it please let me know so I can give
credit where credit is due..................
#4-10
Thankful for prayers, our
reclining sofa, heating pad,
alleve and ibuprophen, and
most of all my sweet hubby
who has been so helpful and
good to me. Also, for our sweet
Son, who was gonna come and
bring dinner but we had already
eating earlier than normal, but
he and lil darling came by to
visit for a lil while, which ws
a mood brightener, and for my
sweet Daughter who is recovering
herself, said she could send
me so icy hot via insta-cart
from South Carolina. lol
So sweet!! but reminded me I
could use the heating pad!!
Did you know you can do that?
I didn't until 3 yrs ago, when
she did it when we all went
away to the beach for my 70th birthday, she ordered groceries
from Publix and had them
delivered to the condo .what a handy
and wonderful thing that is.
#11
Thankful we got to have lil
darling for schooling this week.
Grampy does most of the teaching
anyway, and fortunatley she didn't
have work in one of the classes
and I was able to do the bible
lesson from the sofa. lol
She is as sweet as ever, and was
such a bright spot for this
furloughed Grammy.
#12
Thankful I have an appt. with
a chiropractor for tomorrow.
YAY,......So happy about that...........
Well, That's it for this week.
Thanks for coming by
and
Have a lovely weekend,

Thankful Thursday October 2, 2025, and more Fall Decor #3
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13-14 NIV
Good Morning Sweet Friends,
and Welcome to October.
Can you believe we are here
already??? Amazing!!!
Not feeling real great this
morning, so gonna make this
opening short.............
Pictures this week are of part 3,
this time our Fallercized
Dining room with the lovely roses
I told you about last week.
So on with my Thankfuls
#1
Thankful for the gift of flowers that bring me, and many others joy and delight, and that God was so good to create them for our enjoyment.
#2
Thankful to hear today that
the state of Florida is launching
a study on Ivermectin, to see
if it can cure cancer. Wouldn't
that be wonderful, and we can
thank our wonderful Governor
DeSantis for promoting that,
I am sure!!
Can hardly stand the thought
of losing him as our Governor.
#3
Thankful for a really fun night
going out to dinner with our sweet neighbors and their grandson.
Then we came back to our house
and had dessert and coffee and we
talked until 2:30 a.m. Think that
is the largest amount of time
we have ever spent with them
at one time. So lots of laughter
and lots of stories. Fun time!
#4
Thankful they introduced us to
a new Seafood restaurant, that
we had heard about but never been to...it a small Mom and Pop type
of venue, but have to say the
food was great.
#7
Thankful to get my bible back,
Somehow, I forgot it at church
last Sunday.
#8
Thankful that Hurricane Imelda
took a turn away from the United States again. Another answer
to prayer, now Praying it goes
around Bermuda and does'nt
hit the Island or cause any
damage.
#9
Thankful for this beautiful song
by Cece Winans, called
"Come Jesus come".
Anybody else love it too!
#10
Thankful our Daughter came
thru a minimally invasive
surgery on Monday, so now
she just has to recover. So far,
so good.
Note: It's the 4th day and she is
feeling much better, and her
worst day was not as bad as
she was prepared for, Thankfully.
That was from all the prayers
from many people I am sure.
Still has recovery time ahead
though.............
Lil darlings arrangement.
#11
Thankful that someone was
so gracious about a wierd thing
that happened to me on facebook.
I went to like something and
somehow it put an angry face.
I did everything to try and
remove it on my page, but to
know avail, then I went to
their page and they had 2 of
the same posts, but neither had
an angry face. So decided to
just call her, and she checked
and didn't see it, but said if
she had she would have thought
it was accidental. Which made
me feel good. Does make me
not want to leave any emojis
on anything! lol
Thankful for a sweet and gracious email from someone I thought I
had offended, and had sent them an email to apologize, and they wrote back a very gracious email and said
I hadn't offended them, and they
knew me better than that.
Such a relief!! I think the Lord
has been giving me a quick
course, in how to resolve possible
conflict quickly this week.
Reminds me of this verse in
Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
That's the lesson and that's the goal.
That's it for Cozy Place this week.
Happy to know you were here
and
Have a lovely rest of the week.
Love, Hugs and
First of October Blessings,
Nellie
