Memorial Day Tablescape

*
Greetings Sweet Friends,
*
Hope you are having a very good Wednesday!
*
We are happy,  hubby got the car fixed,  just
needed a new battery,  so we are good to go
now!!  Tomorrow he will tackle the sink drip!!
No lack of things to keep this sweet guy
feeling useful that is for sure!!  lol
*
Thought I would share our Memorial Day
Tablescape with you now, and am hooking up to
Tablescape Thursday with Susan over at
between naps on the porch late tonight.

Between Naps On The Porch

This was simple and
easy and just made up of mostly what I
could find that had the right colors!! lol
*
Since we have picnic type food every year for
Memorial Day and 4th of July I use picnic type
tableware for an easy simple summers day
 Celebration
*
*
Found this lil bear that belongs to my
daughter in her old closet, so he looked
patriotic,  and I found these flags I bought
last year but never got to use.
*
*
Since this was a use what you have tablescape.
I had the tablecloth from years ago from
Dee's High School graduation party.
*
*
This is from the opposite end of the table.
I already had the red cups leftover from
Christmas and the flag napkins from
Memorial Day last year or the 4th of July.
*
*
I also had all the stars as well,  so all
I had to purchase were the plates.
I love that they are octagon shaped.
*
*
The lil flag that looks like a postage
stamp is a free stickers I got in the
mail from someone,  so I just covered
a dove chocolate with it so it would
match.  You know how I am about
things matching!! lol

*
*
Broke out the Christmas candles
and put them on my everyday plate.

*
I just love these lil mylar stars,  I have
used them many times for different  things.
*

*
Love this lil Teddy....
have no idea why he has 777
all over him!
*
*
Just stood up a few stars around
the edge.  Could have taped them
on a bit higher but was too lazy!! lol
*
*
I bought this cute lil creamer
at Target many years back,
but just love it!
*
*
Colors were right so just used it
as a flag holder!
*
*
The stars and stripes forever!!

*
Decided to turn the cups upside down
and add a star for fun!!
*

*
Candles always make things festive.
*
Just shows you can make a festive
or pretty table with paperware as well.
*
Hope you enjoyed your visit and
Thanks for stopping in!!
*
Be sure to go over to Susan's
at between naps on the porch
after 10 pm. tonight or tomorrow
and you can see all the great tablescape
ideas from other bloggers too.

  2. Looks so fun! Good job! I have to start getting on to the table ideas for Jim's party. I find there are so many little details but I eventually will get them all done. Right now I am working on a lesson on repentance and the atonement for Sunday. First things first...right? When this is done I will get back to the party planning.

We are just heading out to dinner so I have to run!

    Love, B

  5. What a great patriotic table...and so resourceful of you to use everything you had..I love that..I try to collect enough basic things that I can mix and match a table for the holidays. I love all the little details! I have that same creamer I got at GW...didn't think to use it on my red, white and blue table...but it's perfect...gonna use mine for July 4th now!! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Hello there Nellie,

It was such a pleasure hearing from you!.., As you can see perhaps, I get behind theses days as I'm so tired, yet I still love blogging!..,

..,God is most gracious however, and I'm most thankful that I feel so much better than last year;(although still as mentioned, feeling quite easily fatigued, I must take care and also pace myself)!

What a lovely table vignette with all of those patriot colors for memorial day!

    I'll come by again soon!

  10. Love your table with all the stars. Summer is fun and the living is easy. Paper plates work perfect here. My grandma had tons of china and silver and she used paper all the time!;) Smart woman, then we really got to visit after the meal!
