God's Cake

Afternoon Sweet Friends,
*
How are ya??  Good I hope!!
*
We have had a productive day today.
We worked out in the yard again.
I am so thrilled  with all the work that
we are getting done,  cause it has
been so needed in some areas.
*
I am getting ready to go make up
some veggies so they will be ready
whenever we want to munch on them.
*
Someone sent me this great email
today and thought I would share it
with you too!!  It is the truth......
and a great analogy.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

God's Cake

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation!

A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."

"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers.
"Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Mom, those are all yucky!"

To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! "

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

  3. I have no idea how it happened but you disappeared from my blogroll and I thought you hadn't been on for awhile. I just discovered and corrected it but I have to run out to Michael's for some ribbon for the mantel so I'll come back and catch up very soon.

    Love you..B

  4. All things work together for good to them that love God. Romans 8:28 if I remember correctly. That was a big part of my lesson on Sunday. Love the cake analogy. It is a good one.

Jim and I were talking today about how much fun it will be to get things done in a timely manner after he retires. Honestly sometimes it takes the whole summer to get things back to normal in the yard and we are almost there. Jim is getting a little panicky but I know he will be fine once the last day of work comes and goes. I am glad you and Jimmy are getting lots done in your yard. Praying for you everyday!

    Love, B

  5. Awesome!! Nellie, truly a great analogy. I was thanking the Lord today while I was painting my porch for sending me all these beautiful fragrances from my roses, and the birds to sing so beautifully'
    Thanks for sharing.
