WE ACTUALLY DID HAVE ONE!!
WE HAD FRIENDS OVER ON FRIDAY
NIGHT FOR DESSERT AND GAMES.

WE TALKED, ATE TURTLE CHEESECAKE,
DRANK COFFEE (DECAF OF COURSE),
PLAYED PHASE 10 AND LAUGHED LOTS,
TILL MIDNIGHT.
THAT IS OUR KIND OF EVENING!

SATURDAY MORNING WE SLEPT IN, MADE
SATURDAY MORNING WE SLEPT IN, MADE
THESE DELECTABLE BLUEBERRY MULTIGRAIN
PANCAKES FOR BREAKFAST. IT WAS A TARGET
BRAND ARCHER FARMS MIX, AND THEY WERE
REALLY GOOD.

WE HAD JOEY ALL WEEK SO SCOTT CAME
OUT LATER ONCE HE GOT OFF WORK AND
SO I MADE A NICE SALAD AND WE ORDERED
A PIZZA AND HAD A NICE LONG VISIT. IT WAS
THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD HIM ALL TO
OURSELVES IN 4 MONTHS, SO IT WAS VERY NICE.

WE ARE VERY EXCITED BECAUSE HE HAS A JOB
INTERVIEW ON TUESDAY NIGHT. WE ARE SO
HOPING THIS WILL BE THE JOB WE HAVE BEEN
PRAYING FOR HIM.
*
SUNDAY WE WENT TO SUNDAY SCHOOL AND
CHURCH AND IT WAS A BLESSING AS ALWAYS.
WE GOT TO SEE SOME WONDERFUL FOLKS
THAT HAD MOVED AWAY, BUT WERE HERE
VISITING THEIR FAMILY. WE KNEW HER FOR
A LONG TIME AS A SINGLE PARENT AND SHE
IS JUST A REAL SWEETHEART AND THEN HER
HUBBY TO BE STARTED COMING AND THEY
GOT MARRIED (AND EVERYONE WAS SO
ECSTATIC FOR HER) BUT A YEAR OR SO AFER
THEY MARRIED THEY HAD TO MOVE AWAY
BECAUSE OF HIS JOB. BUMMER!! BUT IT
WAS JUST SO GREAT TO SEE THEM AGAIN,
EVEN IF FOR JUST A FEW MINUTES, AND
THEY STILL LOOK VERY HAPPY.

THEN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GO PICK
SOMETHING UP OVER AT SOMEONE'S
HOUSE, SO THEY INVITED US TO LUNCH,
SO THAT WAS A NICE SPONTANEOUS
SURPRISE. WE HAD A LOVELY LUNCH
AND SWEET FELLOWSHIP.

AFTER WE CAME HOME, READ THE PAPER,
BUT NOT TOO LONG SINCE WE WERE
FALLING ASLEEP..........TOOK A NICE LONG
NAP THEN WATCHED SOME PASTORS ON
TV WHILE WE DID THE EXERCISE BIKE.
WE DON'T USUALLY DO IT SUNDAYS,
BUT WE WERE BEHIND SO NEEDED TO
GET A GOOD START INTO THE NEW WEEK.

Happy Monday, Nellie! I love to play Phase 10 - and with a group of friends over coffee (and dessert) would be my idea of a perfect evening as well! I love how you have so many opportunities for fellowship - you obviously have a lot of friends and that is so wonderful! What a full weekend you've had! I went to church Sunday evening to see Julian's presentation. I then helped Ron video tape it. He was really good with the variations of the songs he did. His tricks were unique too!
ReplyDeleteI've been busy getting many of the VHS tapes together and donating them to the library. They were excited to get them. They said you'd be surprised at how many people still use VHS!

Wow! You had a busy weekend! Ours here was okay. I watched my niece and nephew since Sunday and my sister and her hubby came this afternoon to pick them up. We wen to the lake by our house twice and to see Toy Story. Everything was nice, but I'm exhausted!!!!

I didnt get to my sunday service till monday evening at the lake.. It was quiet , peaceful and a joy to just talk to God in such a lovely place.. Even the ducks sat still, so I know they could feel my energy and worked along with me.. as soon as I was done they were up and clucking around again.. Thats all I need to KNOW my prayers were heard..

ReplyDeleteJim, Chris and I are in Yosemite! I am working on my brother's laptop as the one we have always used was Jim's to use from work. Since he is no longer employed now we need to go buy one!
Sounds like you had a great weekend. It is fun to have friends over and to go visiting for lunch and to have your son to yourselves now and again. We are thoroughly enjoying that too.
I am going to try doing a post now and see if I can get my photos in it.
The guys just left for their climb so I have about 12 hours to myself in this heavenly place!
