Our Valentine's Tablescape

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope you all had a Wonderfully Fun
and Loving Valentines day weekend.

Ours was great I have to say. It was a very relaxing,
restful and fun weekend...... all about us!!  lol
We started celebrating on Friday night.  We got some
great Italian take out, that we were able to have 2 nights
in a row, so I set a nice Valentinsy  table of course, with
what I could find to throw together, and it turned out
pretty cute I think. I also decided to make some chocolate
covered strawberries and got some already made butter
cookies and dipped those in dark choc.too,  and.........
they were all yummy.  We watched our fav movie on
Valentines day "You've got mail",  I am not a watch
a movie over and over again type of girl,  but neither
of us ever tire of this movie for some reason!!  lol
Then we watched another one on Friday night called
"Healed by Grace",  it was excellent,  a great story
depicting Romans 8:28,  and how the Lord redirected
this young womans life for something even better.

Thought I would show you our Valentines table
today since we all love pictures and tablescapes,
and before we move on to the next occasion.

This was our centerpiece.  Swipped the faux roses
from the pitcher on the coffee tableand put them in
another pitcher, swipped the bear off the hearth
out of his wagon, and the Valentines sign off the
 table in the hallway.

Also, had been looking off and on for along time now
for these red chargers a friend gave me some years back.
I didn't find them at Christmas time and even thought
maybe I had given them to Dee since she has a lot of
red and forgot about it......but finally I found them on
Valentines day tucked away in the spare bedroom
closet, and saw something of Dee's that I was thinking
I should take to her the next time we go there, and when
I went to get it my eyes fell on a black box and couldn't
read it cause it was upside down, so turned my head
upside down and sure enough it was the chargers.
Have to say that happened..... after I said a lil prayer,
Lord, where are those chargers I want to use them
for our Valentines table..........and not 10 mins. after
 I found them.
The Lord has helped me find sooooo many things
over the years..............and I think it is so neat,
that He is interested in those lil details of our
lives.................
and I was very very happy to finally find the
chargers especially in time to use them
for Valentines day.  Had missed them
at Christmas................lol

So.....I got to use the pretty red chargers,
then my plain white corelleware plates,
and my pretty rose print salad plates I
purchase at Target years ago.

Used my weddding silverware and turned the white
napkins into roses and tied with some ribbon I found
in my stash.

Found the lil heart confetti in my stash too,  it always
adds a nice touch.

used pretty clear goblets for our sparkling grape juice,
as they always look a bit more formal.

then of course, you have to have some candles.
Was already using the red one on the dining room table,
but it was surrounded by red potpourri, so just took it
off the platter and used it by it's lonesome then swipped
the lil white heart dishes, off the coffee and sofa table,
and just added candles and confetti.

This affect is called photocopy....Thought it was cute........

Then I got real red roses from hubby,
So changed the centerpiece  a little.

with colored pencil affect

Then I decided to refresh them on Monday
and put some flower fresh in so they last longer,
and decided to do a lil floral arranging of my
own.  Roses aren't so tall now and think you
can see them better.

and I took out some mauve mums they had stuck in,
and made  another arrangement for my guest bath.
somehow they didn't show up in the picture, guess
cause they were stuck together so closely.
So it wound up being a 2 for 1 deal.   lol

This pic was of the pretty cello gift bag
the flowers were in,  it is so cute it is
tall and V shaped and will look adorable
to put on my front door or somewhere
with some faux flowers stuck in for
next year................

Well, have a great week ahead............

and

Thanks so much for coming by to visit.

It's always so nice to know you were here.

I can't take credit for this neat
acrostic someone sent it to me
in an email back in 201o and
I posted it then, and happened
to think of it, and decided
 I should post it again.

I recently looked up this song
that is a blast from the past
"love is in th Air"
by John Paul Young
added a link for your
 listening pleasure.

or
here is the link you can
copy and paste
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUaIdOsJqF8

It is really a lovely song,
and I have always enjoy it,
mostly thought of as a love
song for couples, but if you
listen to the actual words
it could be a love song about
God cause it is true and
according to scripture that
"God's love is in the Air"
and John Paul Young is
Wise, not foolish for sure!

and here are just a few verses
of scripture that back it up.

Psalm 113:3
Psalm 19:1
Psalm 104:13
Psalm 136: 1-9
Psalm 19: 1-6

Have a Sweet Day!!

Love, Hugs and
Special Valentine's Day
Blessings,

Nellie

Thankful Thursday - February 12, 2015, and more Valentines decorating

In God we make our boast all day long,
and we will praise your name forever.
Psalm 44:8

Greetings Sweet Friends,
and welcome to Thankful
Thursday......

So....what kind of week have
you had??  Hope it has been
a good one.

Mine has been good and a lil bit busy,
but a good busy.  lol  Told you I would
show you the rest of my  Valentine's
decorating today, so here are the pics.

Well, I am late as you can see,  so just
gonna plunge right in..................

I am thankful

#1
for a really fun Friday night with Scott, Megan
and the baby. He made an awesome grilled
chicken salad. The aroma from his marinaded
chicken was amazing as he was taking it off
the grill, and I was thinking if this taste any-
where near as good as it smells it is gonna
be awesome,  and it truly was......
We all played with Brookyn till she went to
bed and then had a hot game of Sorry.  lol
Very Fun Evening!

#2
that we got our yard mowed for the first time this year
and some bushes cut back as it was a lovely day on
 Saturday for doing that.

#3
that we had a fellow come out to give us an estimate for
some pressure cleaning /painting we want to have done.
We always do everything ourselves so the estimate
was rather shocking, but probably is the going rate, we
are just out of touch with that since we have never paid
anyone to do any painting for us in 30+ years. Happy
to have them do it tho, cause it involves getting on the
roof to paint our chimney,  and don't really want hubby
up there,  so it will be sure be nice to have someone
else do it for a change.

#4
for a nice restful Sunday afternoon, we got a
Newspaper and actually got to sit out in the backyard
and read it.  So that was really nice, then took a
2 hr. nap, and watched our Pastors most of the
evening and then had a long chat with Dee later too.
Perfect end to a perfect day........

#5
that hubby is gonna be able to work at home now
for 2 days a week rather than just one. Think that
will help him to be less tired in the evenings and
will add 2 more hrs. to his day along with
it being a nice midweek break.

#6
that Megan and the baby stayed and had pizza and
salad with us on Wed. when she came to get
wee one...as Scott was out of town. So it was nice..

#7
That Dee now has 4 contracts for home sales, she is
ecstatic and amazed, since these are her first sales
since she has become a real estate agent.
We are ecstatic and amazed along with her and
We are praying they all go through.......

#8
that I learned some new things on the computer that
I needed to know this week.
Oh, The thrill of Victory.  lol

#9
that I got lots more work done on my card shop
this week. It's coming slow but sure.   lol

#10
for a really fun time over at the home of some
friends last night. The reason I am late again!!  lol

What a great time of fellowship, and some yummy
desserts as well. We spend a lot of time laughing when
we get together, and laughter is good for the soul.

#11
that Scott got home safe and sound yesterday.

#12
that our friends gave me a dessert goodie bag
to bring home, which is about to become my
breakfast.  Buttery pound cake with fresh straw-
berries and blueberries, and whip cream.
He even made homemade whipped cream
and it was really delicious......I will have to
use my spray whip cream this morning. lol
but it will still be yummy!!

There you have it,  another week
 at Cozy Place.

Well, I am off to eat my yummy
 breakfast with a nice
cuppa joe.........

So happy you could stop by......
