Thankful Thursday July 25, 2019, Coastal living room scenes #2

You are worthy, our Lord and God
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things, and
by your will they were created
 and have their being.
Revelation 4:11 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope your week has been a good
one.  Been a good one here, not
a lot going on just trying to get
my bedroom finished up, doing
laundry and making cards and
printables, and the usual home
tasks.

More Coastal Living room
scenes today.  If you missed
Part 1, you can Click here.

#1
Thankful for a good visit with
hubbies heart Doctor. He still has
to get some bloodwork done but
nothing earth shattering to worry
about.

#2
Thankful for a fun night out after-
wards, to Pier One and a place called
Adjectives Market Place (they have
lots of vintage, antique and farm
house style things and there are a
large number of vendors that make
things and sell them.  We think it
is a  Very cool place.  Then out to
dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We
haven't been since last year...we
only go when he goes to the Dr.
cause it is over an hour away
from our house.

#3
Thankful for $20 left on a gift
card from when we went there
last year, which paid for our
cheesecake and tip.....
nice surprise as we didn't
remember how much was left
on the card.

#4
Thankful for getting $73. worth
of merchandise at Pier One for
just $12.76.  Hopefully this will
finish up our bedroom.
Note: and it pretty much has
just have a few finishing touches
to do yet, and looking forward
to closure on it soon.

#5
Thankful for the Lord's protection
over my hubby.  He got a roofing
nail that went all the way thru his
shoe, but it totally missed his foot.

#6
Thankful that our contractor has
a magnet tool than can pick up
all the nails in the yard, just had
not used it yet.  So hubby went
over the area with it and it was
amazing how many nails that
thing picked up.  Course, most
of them were from this passed
Saturday as he took the old
 roof off the shed.

#7
Thankful that our contractor came
again this Saturday, as we really
were not expecting him to......
He stripped off the old roof, put
on new wood and tar paper, so
next time he will do the shingles.

#8
Thankful his arm is healing up and
that he had more strength in it this time.
We didn't know there was a problem
with it until after he was here the last
time cause we were not home so didn't
see him.....but found out later, through
a text that he had been bitten by his
daughters pit bull on the upper arm,
so it had healed but he was having
weakness in his muscles and having
trouble holding things. He said the
dog was only playing but bit him
on the arm and was just hanging
on him and he weighs a lot.
Just wished he had shared that
with us sooner.

#9
Thankful hubby had a dental appt.
on Monday, he got a good report
on everything else,  but he had lost
part of his tooth, but the filling was
still intact but he needs a crown.
He was having no problems and
didn't even know anything happ-
ened. So thankful they caught
it quickly which hopefully will
mean no root canal.

#10
Thankful for a mistake I made
in buying something that turned
out to be great. I picked up some
Publix Organic corn chips that
were featured in a bin (a buy
2 deal) so I got some blue corn
chips and what I thought was
white corn chips, turned out
they were sweet potato corn
chips, and they are delicious.
We loved new food items
around here.........lol

#11
Thankful for a great time with
lil darling on Wed., it has been
strange seeing her just once a week
lately, just due to circumstances
with my son having to be out of
town so much, but we will get
to see all of them again this
weekend.

#12
Thankful for a clean house that
we didn't have to clean and that
we were able to get some work
down on our business today and
will for weeks to come since we
don't have to worry about the
house now.  Thankful for this
sweet young woman who is
doing it for us, she is such a
blessing.

So happy you could come
by today and hope you are
reminded of your blessings
as well..........

Have a Splendid Weekend.

Love, Hugs and
Blessings,

Nellie

Check out this Cheery Charming Cottage at Folly Beach, S.C.

Afternoon Sweet Friends,

Hope you are still enjoying your summer.
I would say enduring summer, rather than
enjoying for us....lol
It has been so hot here, I have to say I am
longing for the cool crisp air of Fall, but
that is at least 21/2 months away for us.

But

Here is something that is quite appealing
to us anyway......and might be to you too.

The Sea Urchin

A clean, cheery, charming cottage that will
make you smile...due to all it's new
renovations and delightful beachy color
scheme and It is just a 2 minute walk
to beautiful folly beach.
and
for those who are pet owners, and don't
want to leave your furry friend behind,
it is also pet friendly for a fee of $150.
They are offering 20 % off for a 3+
night stay in August.

Before I go any further I think I should
tell you this is an investment property
that our daughter and Son-in-love
just took ownership of in early June.
I am gonna put the ad from the realty
company they use right here below
so you can see the pictures, but they
have already made a number of
changes which are not reflected in
the pictures as of yet, and I think
some of the new features should
definitely be highlighted.
I wrote the things I would want
to know if I were gonna rent a cottage
myself.  We are gonna try to possibly
use this for a future write up for the
realty company if they will let us,
so if you think of any info that you
think might be helpful that we didn't
cover below..... please, by all means
 leave a comment
 and tell us.  Thanks!!

This cottage is just minutes from
downtown Charleston, SC
but is an Island near there called
Folly beach, S.C.

I could only put the link...
sorry....but if you click on it that
is where you will see the pictures.
Just in case you should have any
problems (because I did) with the
pictures (there should be 18) hit
the refresh button and that should
bring them all up.

Now...here is my view point,
All the reno's were done prior to their
buying it...but they have added a number
of new things for improvement which
I will highlight.

The living, dining and kitchen area are all
open concept, so the whole family can be
together in one place. Living area equipped
with a brand new 50" flat screen TV with
cable and the Cinemax Movie channel with
instructions (to make it easy for you to
navigate). Also with 2 new swivel chairs
for more comfortable and easy conversation
or TV viewing.  They also offer WiFi.
There are a variety of puzzles and games
for your enjoyment, as well as 2 new poufs
for extra seating or to just put your
feet up to relax.

Features a beautiful new modern kitchen
that is fully equipped (with a dishwasher,
stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee
maker and toaster, pots and pans, dishes
and silverware) in case you want to pre-
pare some or all of your own meals.
For those that desire to eat out, there
are some great restaurants less than
 5 mins. away by car.

There are 2 bedrooms one on each side of
the house, one has a queen bed with a brand
new purple mattress and Luxe white robes
for your convenience and enjoyment, the
other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Both bed-
rooms have new pillows, and comforters,
and plenty of room for your things.
There is a futon in the living area that
also makes into a bed (and has linens).
Soon there will be a new sofa with a
hide-a-bed.

An updated modern bathroom with
subway tile shower and glass doors
and classy sink area.
Also nice that it is equipped with
a stackable washer and dryer combo,
just in case it is needed.

You can eat your meals indoors or outside
on the front porch both have tables and
chairs or on the back deck which has
a new table (with an umbrella), bench
and chairs. or you can lounge in the
 hammock.
There is a gated deck for the safety and
protection of young children and pets.

There is plenty of parking available,
enough for up to 4 cars, and a large
front porch with rocking chairs and
a table and chairs, so you can enjoy
 the Folly Beach breezes.

Important Info for Renters
and Pet Owners

The picture show a TV in the
master Bedroom, but there in no
TV now, as the previous owner
removed it, and it hasn't been
 replaced.

Also, the add says they have a
fully fenced in yard,  but that is
not true as of now, as it had to be
taken down for some work that
 had to be done.

Well, there you have it folks...
my rendition of the cozy cottage.

Just thought I would put it out
there for feedback and thought
just maybe someone might be
wanting a get-a-way soon.

Thanks for coming by.....

Hope you have a good week,

Love, Hugs,
and Blessings,

Nellie

Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday Morning
 Sweet Friends,

Here is the scriptures for today!!

There are six things the LORD hates,

seven that are detestable to him:

 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,

hands that shed innocent blood,

a heart that devises wicked schemes,

feet that are quick to rush into evil,

a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict
 in the community.

Proverbs 6:16-19 NIV

Have a restful and contemplative
Sunday,

Hugs,

Thankful Thursday July 18, 2019, Coastal living room scenes

Now to the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only God, be honor
and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you have been having a good
week....ours has been pretty good.
My foot is somewhat better, still on
the mend and kind of off again, on
again type of thing, so praying it
will be gone all together soon.

Pictures today are from our re--
freshed living room.  Decided to do
it with a Coastal flair this summer,
but just haven't had time to take
and edit pictures,  so will show
you the ones I have taken.

#1
Thankful for another Memorial Service
that we attended for a sweet lady who
attends our church.  It was just the
sweetest service.  All 3 of her grand-
sons spoke, and it was just so sweet
and precious all the things they had
to say about their Memaw.  Really a
great reminder about the importance
of being an involved Grandparent
and the great influence we can have
if we choose to....

#2
Thankful for lunch out with hubby
afterward at Perkins.  We have not
been there in quite awhile because
they had changed their menu and
there wasn't a lot on there we liked
anymore.....but we saw that they
have changed it again and saw
they brought back some of our
old favorites.

#3
Thankful as always for a nice
long chat with our girl.

#4
Thankful for Sweet Potato Puffs,
made by Alexia.  They are in the
frozen food department with the
frozen fries and tots.  They are
really delicious....and I could
easily eat these as a dessert
especially if you dipped them
in a lil honey.  lol

#5
Thankful for being surprised
by my nephew and 2 of his girls.
They wound up coming to church
yesterday but they weren't suppose
to be there.....so that was quite a
nice surprise. Just in case you
didn't know they just moved back
here from Mo. and we hadn't
seen them yet.

#6
Thankful that my nephew and
the whole family came over for
pizza and salad on Sunday even-
ing. It was so great to see them
all and get to spend some time
with them.  We really had a lot
of fun.  They have 3 sweet and
beautiful girls, 2 (twins) that are
12 yrs. old and one that is 15,
and of course, the move is very
sad for them as they have lived
in the same place for their whole
lives, so it was good to have fun
with them and see them smiling
when they left.

#7
Thankful for the frozen fruit
we have been buying at the
grocery store and making
smoothies with....they are
delicious and have that same
consistency that they have
when you buy them, and they

make for a quick, refreshing
and delicious treat

#8
Thankful for a beautiful pinterest
board that came in my email box
that had all my fav shades of blue
in the robins egg blue family.
Just made my day it was so pretty.

#9
Thankful that our contractor
finally showed up to work on
our shed.  It has been 8 weeks,
so we were beginning to wonder.
He has been having a lot of prob-
lems, some family, some physical,
and of course, we are in a rainy
season here as well. Just glad to
know he still plans to finish, and
it is a lil bit further along, but
still have a ways to go, but some
progress at least.

#10
Thankful for the dealership where
we take our Van to be serviced,
and the honesty of the people who
work there. While they were rotat-
ing our tires they found a nail in
one of our tires and fixed it....
and it was at no charge to us as
we bought our tires from them,
but I realize they did not have to
tell us there was a nail in the tire
or fix it, cause we were having
no problems....but sadly, there are
some places that would have just
rotated the tires and said nothing
since it was gonna take their
time and make no money on the
deal....so cuddos to Winter Park
Toyota Service Department.

#11
Thankful for a fun time after
getting the car serviced.  We
went to Christmas Tree store,
which was fun since we haven't
been there in a long time. Then
to Home Goods and to dinner
at Cheddar's. Fun night out.

#12
Thankful for God's beautiful
Sea shells, they are just so
beautiful and screams summer
to me..........

Well, here's another week
at Cozy Place

Thanks for dropping in....

Hope you have a lovely
summer weekend.

Love, Hugs and
Mid July Blessings,
Nellie
