of our Lord Birthday and that it just

carries us all through this next year.

Here is the verse for today!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,

and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God,  Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 NIV

That's our Jesus!!

Thankful Thursday December 24th, 2020, Christmas Family Room decor for 2020

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
he is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to you:
You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and
 lying in a manger.”
Luke 2: 11-12

Merry Christmas Sweet Friends

and

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Hope you and yours have a truly

Beautiful Christmas wrapped in

the warmth of His Love, Peace,

and Joy.

Decided to combine this with my

Thankfuls.......

#1

Thankful that we got everything
accomplished that we needed to
do before our Daughter and hubby
arrived on Sunday evening.  Which
was pretty amazing since we had
been exhausted and feeling under
the weather with a cold since last
Sunday.

#2
Thankful they arrived safely
with no problems.

#3
Thankful for a great time as we went
to our Sons house on Monday night.
We all enjoyed seeing the Christmas
 decorations, visited, played mouse trap
with lil darling for awhile and looked
at some old pics he came across from
when he was a kid, such a fun blast
from the past, had a pizza party and
watched "Elf"  together.  A Fun evening!

#4
Thankful for an hour or so for me
and my Daughter to chat while the
guys were watching my hubbies
new fav thing he found on TV
"Battle bots".

#5
Thankful for these mini quiche
frozen bites we found at Sam's.
I have had them before but it
has been a longgggggg time, so
knew they were good and Dee
would like them, So we have
had them for breakfast along
with bacon, sausage and bagels
the last 2 morning. We all
really enjoyed these breakfasts.

#6
Thankful that we have been
taking naps most every after-
noon,  think that has really
helped us with everything.

A new angel we found when in Charleston
for our Anniversary last month.  Isn't
she cute!!

#7 and 8
Thankful that my Son-in-love
is doing well.  Just 2 days
before they were to leave to
come here he had a bite on his
upper arm, and it made this
big circle pattern with like
a blistery rash in the center.
Thankful, that his Sister-in-law
is a Dr., and they were able to
send her pictures of it, and she
said it looks like a tick bite
and I guess the beginning of
lyme disease,  so she was able
to call in prescription for anti-
biotics right away,  so it has
been improving daily for the
last couple of days and he is
feeling fine. Think they caught
it early cause his arm was
sore and burny but he had no
fever or anything.

#9
Thankful for Christmas music,
it would just not be Christmas
if we weren't able to hear and
sing Christmas carols and
fun songs.

#10
Thankful that our kids will all
be with us for Christmas this year.
Such a blessing!

#11
Thankful that they will be back
Christmas morning until the 27th
when they have to head home.  They
left on Tuesday afternoon to go visit
with his parents since they have
recently moved back to the area.

#12
Thankful for the fun of making
chocolate dipped pretzel rods for
the first time.  We were gonna
do it together and then we for-
got about it,  so just did them
myself.....it was easy really
and fun, but probably would be
more fun doing it together.
Maybe next year!!

#13
Thankful for all the delicious
 Christmas goodies we have been
gifted with by friends and neighbors.
 They are all so yummy!

Well, that's it for Cozy Place
this week..........
This is the Christmas edition!!

So glad you could drop by.....

Hope you and yours have a
 Beautiful Christmas

Scripture Sunday, 4th Week of Advent

Manger Scene from Holy Land Experience

Happy Sunday Morning

Sweet Friends,

Here are the verses for our 4th week of Advent,

that represents Love and the presence of our

Saviour, Jesus!

For God so loved the world that he gave
his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save the world
 through him.
John 3:16-17  NIV

This verse is all part of the
Christmas story too, just as much
as his birth, it was his mission to
come to earth to save us from our Sin
nature that we were born with and
have a relationship with us, so He
could one day take us to heaven to
be with him forever.  We don't have
to understand it all,  we just have
to believe it..........

Merry Christmas Hugs,
Nellie

Thankful Thursday December 18, 2020, Christmas in the kitchen 2020

Save us, LORD our God, and gather us

from the nations, that we may give thanks

to your holy name and glory in your praise.

Psalm 106:47 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you well and happy!

Just a week left until Christmas.....the time is

flying it seems.  Hubby and I are fighting

off colds and he has been worse than me,

has a head cold, no fevers for either of us,

 but just feeling very tired....

Gonna have to start pacing ourselves so we

work a little, and rest rest a little the next

2 days.  Lord willing, Our Daughter and

Son-in-Love will be in on Sunday night

late.  So we are definitely looking forward

to that.

Pictures today are of my kitchen shelves.

I saw that Ann of "On Sutton Place"

did her shelves in a Christmas tree pattern,

and loved it......and before that I had

seen another blogger that was unfamiliar

to me,  that did her bookshelves in a

rainbow color,  each shelf in a different

color.....Here is a link to her blog

 So these ladies

inspired my kitchen ladder shelves......

So on with my thankfuls.....

#1

Thankful for being able to attend lil darlings Christmas

program, it was really great and really added so much

Christmas cheer, along with the real reason for celebrating

Christmas, and it was great to get to see a number

of folks that we know or have known over the years.

#2

Thankful that the lady who directed the program

and who is so gifted and talented musically but

also in working with kids, did a fantastic job

as always.  We have been friends for years as she

attended our church for years and led my children

too, in Christmas pageants as well. She's still

does an amazing job, and she looks fantastic.

#3

Thankful for a fun time afterward, taking

lil darling out to dinner at one of her fav

restaurants, Texas Road House, and

then she got to see all our Christmas

decorations afterwards when they brought

 us home.Just a lovely evening.

#4

Thankful for some new pictures that

her Mommy had taken of her by a

photographer,  that came out so beautifully.

#5

Thankful for a totally unexpected Christmas

card from some friends that we knew before we

were married 50+ years ago. Some how

we lost touch with each other, but recently

I have seen posts from her hubby and

commented, but haven't connected with her

in a long time, so what a delight to receive

her sweet card saying she thinks of us

often, but she just isn't a techy person.

Just made my day!! lol

#6

Thankful that I was able to send

10 of my Christmas greeting cards to our

 Alliance Nursing Home. I would

have sent more had I known earlier but

that was what I had on hand that I

had printed already.  So that made

us happy.....to be able to do that!

#7

Thankful I was able to complete 6

Christmas cards and a printable so far

this week to place in our shop, and have

2 more in the works that hopefully will be

completed by the end of the week maybe.

#8

Thankful for our churches Christmas

program, which we were totally surprised

they were having... We watched it

online as hubby wasn't feeling great, but

it was mostly done remotely anyway.

It was really so creative and awe-

some what they did,  and they had

a great testimony from a lady who

lost her husband to covid because he

was already very sick, great testimony

to God's goodness to her during that

terrible time when she couldn't see him.

#9

Thankful for a fun day with lil darling. We

had her the entire day,  and it's been along time

since we have been able to do that, so it was great!

We worked on a gingerbread house, and made

Christmas cards for her parents, went for wagon

rides 3 times,  1 at night so she could see all our

neighbors Christmas lights. Checked out ecards,

colored in coloring books, and she did a dance

recital for us, then she and Daddy stayed for

dinner, so it was a good day.  I am tired

but it's a good tired.

She had lots of fun doing it.....
I just put icing on....Me not so good!  lol
We were not going for perfection... just fun....
But thought she did a great job!!

#10

Thankful to know God is in control of

who our President will be......as I am

extremely dismayed, disappointed and

shocked at our Supreme court... to

say the least!!

#11

Thankful for something that had the

potential to be very awkward turned

out not to be awkward at all,  PTL

#12

Thankful for Trinity Broadcasting

Network,  they have quite a few

Chrstimas programs, and the ones

we have watched have been very

good and very uplifting.

Scripture Sunday, 3rd week of Advent

(I do know that angels in the bible were male, but couldn't resist

using this picture, as she is such a pretty angel and was on hand)

Happy Sunday Sweet Friends,

Here are the verses for the 3rd week of Advent,

that represents Joy

In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,
to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered
what kind of greeting this might be.
But the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.
You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the
Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever;
his kingdom will never end.”

Luke 1:26-33

Let  Us  Never  Quit  Marveling  Over  The
True  Christmas  Story!

Thankful Thursday December 10, 2020, Christmas table idea from the past

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

How are ya??  Doing well I hope!
I am rejoicing over here cause I just finished my
Christmas decorating....finally!
Halleleujah!!  Can you hear me singing!!  lol

Well gotta run....lil darling has her Christmas
program tonight for school.

Pictures today are from a Christmas table
from the past at Cozy Place.

So on with my Thankfuls.....

#1
Thankful that we were able to save the life of our lil brown
bunny who lives in our back yard.  When we were coming
up our street after picking up lil darling from school I just
happened to see a black cat right up beside the side of our
house, so once we got out of the van we quietly went over
there just to see the kitty, but when we peeked around the
corner simultaneously, the cat saw us and we saw it and
lil brown bunny just up ahead of the cat, so, I clapped my
hands and  yelled for the cat to get away, so they both
ran into the woods....into different places thank goodness,
and we saw lil bunny in our yard a few days later, so he
or she is still alive and well.

#2
Thankful for a fun time with lil darling this passed Thursday afternoon.  Gave her the Angel ( that I showed you last Thursday) and she loved it... We also put our nativity set out, as I saved it until she was here, as she likes to do that with me, and she was able to do a little Christmas decorating of her own, and we took a number of wagon rides before we
had to take her home.

#3
Thankful we had a nice dinner at our fav Mexican restaurant with her and our Son, and we spent the evening with them as well.

#4
Thankful for our first eggnog of the season. Just love that stuff.....it's a Christmas tradition for us when we are doing our Christmas decorating and stuff.  Gotta have some eggnog.  lol

#5
Thankful that we have set our schedules for
Christmas day as much as we can since we
are trying to accomodate 5-6 families.

#6
Thankful we found a new funny show
on Roku called "Gags" and reminds me of
the old Candid camera show they had way
back when I was a kid, with Allen Funt
and Fannie Flagg. Great for a few laughs.

#7 and 8
Thankful that we still have the freedom to attend our church, as it brings such encouragement to us and Thankful for our Gov. Ron DeSantis, who makes that possible.  He has done an awesome job in Florida with such great leadership.  We pray that the Lord would
 bless him greatly.

#9
Thankful for an encouraging lunch out with our
friends after church. We all got to talking about the
hurricanes we had experienced in the passed and
a flood we had in our home probably 18 yrs. ago,
and were sharing all the neat things God did for us
during those times.  Always good to look back and
see how God has taken care of us in the past.

#10
Thankful for all the Pastors we have the ability to
watch on online on Sunday mornings and evenings.
Dr. James Merritt,  Pastor Jentzen Franklin,
Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Ed Young, Pastor Robert
Morris, Dr. Charles Stanley, Pastor Robert Jeffress,
and of course, the Pastor at our church, course,
we watch him in person...lol

#11
Thankful that hubby has learned how to do You tube videos,
As we have good plans for that.

#12
Thankful that all my Christmas decorating is done
and now we can just enjoy it.  PTL

Well, that's all for Cozy Place this week.

Thanks for coming by.

Have a terrific rest of the week and weekend.

Love, Hugs and
 Christmas Season Blessings,

Nellie
