Thankful Thursday September 2, 202l, A Simple Fall Kitchen Table from the past

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!”

Welcome to September

Sweet Friends,

Can you believe it, we are now almost

entering Fall. Where has this year gone

to, for us it just seems to have flown by

so quickly.  Hope this finds you doing

well and anticipating Fall.  I need to get

my mojo on and start decorating for Fall,

but the mood hasn't hit yet,  hopefully soon it will.

Pictures today are of a Simple Fall Kitchen Table from the past.

So on with my Thankfuls.........

#1

Thankful that our Daughter and Son-in-love got to come, and made it here and back to South Carolina safe and sound.

#2

Thankful for the time we had... though it was just less than 24 hrs. (excluding sleeping time) but thankful for any time we get with them. The main reason they came was to see her hubbies brother and sister-in-loves new addition to the family, a baby boy.  So we were thankful they were able to get a lil extra time to come see us too.

#3

Thankful we got to celebrate Dee's birthday with her ( 9 days later), but better than not at all. All our family went to Olive Garden for dinner and had a lovely time.

#4

Thankful she liked her gifts and that everything fit her well.

#5

Thankful that lil darling got to spend the night and that we got to have her all day on Friday.  We helped her do all her home schooling work and she did an excellent job.

#6

Thankful that our Son and lil darling got to go over to our son-in-law's parents and hang out with his Sister and brother-inlaw and neice and nephew.  They all had a good time and the kids had a lot of fun together too.

#7

Thankful for all the Pastors we got to watch this morning, as we stayed home cause I have had allergies problems this week, and was still coughing, and others would not know that is the problem, so decided it was best to stay home. We just watched it online.

#8

Thankful that I have my Mom's Potato Salad Recipe......I made it on Monday and haven't made it in a long while, so it was super good and can't wait to have it again today.  (My Mom has been in heaven for about 17 yrs. now).

#9

Thankful for some really cool things that have happened to do with some Faith cards we made, and sent out.  Too hard to explain, but it was very positive and encouraging to us.

#10

Thankful for 3 new cards and a printable I made this week.  I have sort of had what I guess you could call writers block, so was happy to feel I've become unblocked again finally.   lol

Thankful for this paragraph below that I read in a piece from Dayspring because it is such a great reminder because it is so very true for all of us.  It was about aging, but I think it is really true about life itself and a great truth to remember especially in the days were are all living through.

"But the truth is, we’ve never been in control anyway! From the moment we were created - whether we’ve realized it or not - we’ve relied on our Creator for every breath. Growing older helps us to shed that illusion of control more and more, and to rest in the promises of our loving God. Whether we’re 9 or 90, He vows to be with us every step of the way:"

Thankful for young people that have a teachable spirit.  I encountered one today on facebook.  She's a young gal we have known for years that went to our church as a child and is now married and has children of her own. She and her family had covid, and we have been praying for them, anyway, I sent a follow up to see if they were better now, and they are PTL, but in the course of writing, she was talking about the world situation and about how the Lord was constantly nudging her to focus on him and not what she sees, So I wrote her about something I had heard from a Pastor this week which was great advice.  She wrote back within a minute and said I just told my husband that and we are gonna start tonight.  Gotta love a heart like that!

Want to hear what it is....come back for Scripture Sunday  Sept. 8th, 2021, and I will tell you!

Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week.

Thanks for dropping by

and

Have a Good rest of the week!

Love, Hugs and

Early September Blessings,

Nellie
