For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you doing well, and not feeling too
lazy from all this cold weather. I have to confess
I have had a hard time being motivated on these
cold days, but we are back in the 70's and think
we are even going into the 80's this week, so that
should help get me moving again!! lol
Pictures today are of our Winter look in the family
room. Finally finished................whoo hoo!
It might still look a lil bit Christmasy in some
places, but I love it..........cause I love Christmas
and especially I love Jesus who it represents.
So on with my Thankfuls.....
#1
Thankful for elderberry w/ vitamin C gummies, B- complex
and listerine gargles along with prayers that have kept me from
getting really sick.
#2
Thankful for the visit with our long time friend Don,
we went out to dinner then we continued our visit until
12:30 pm., went to bed and visited all morning long,
and we had a nice breakfast here, and then he had to
get on the road. He is meeting his Daughter and her
family and they are going on a cruise for the week.
He might come back next week on his way back.
#3
Thankful that our Daughter and hubby faired
well in the snow storm last week. Still waiting
on it all to melt, and their doggie just loved it.
Note; Finally melted, but sure took it's
sweet time. lol
#4
Thankful for 2 free delicious subs from our Publix
Grocery store. We had called in an online order
and they were incredibly busy, and had not even
started our sandwich at the pick up time, so hubby
wound up waiting almost 45 mins., so they said
the subs were on them. (I have a sneaking suspicion
that we got them free because hubby is so understanding
and patient) Such a lovely surprise...........
and they were so good too!
#5
Thankful for a good day at church, our Lead Pastor
who is retiring spoke today. It is his last time to speak
to us as our Lead Pastor and it was such a personal
message to the congregation. Sweet and Funny
at times. Sad but hopeful, but he will be filling in
for the other Pastors at times. He and his wife
were such a blessing...........
#6 and 7
Thankful for the wonderful tribute and farewell
send off, they gave to he and his lovely wife.
It was supposed to last from 5-7 p.m. and
we only got to stay for the first part which was
only supposed to last about an hour or so, but
didn't end until 7 and they still had a fellowship
with dessert and snacks after that. It was
really a blessing to be a part of, so much love
in one room. Awesome!
Thankfully we had gotten to talk to he and his
wife in the morning after church, cause we had to
leave at 7 as we had plans to go out to dinner
with our Son and lil darling. Thankful we
all got to go out to dinner together, and we also
got to see our favorite server.......lol
#8
Thankful for another good school day with
lil darling. She is great about staying on task.
#9
Thankful for chocolate pudding pie. I made
it in like 5 mins. and it was so yummy. Haven't
had it in years.........
Easy peasy, just get a graham cracker pie crust,
whip up some instant chocolate pudding and put it
in the pie crust, add some whip cream and your done.
Our Mom's used to make pudding and jello all
the time as desserts when we were kids.
#10
Thankful for an absolutely gorgeous sunset I
saw on Tuesay evening, pinks, peaches and lavendars,
breathtasking!!
#11
Thankful that President Trump visited the
Western North Carolina area last week, and
that I saw a reel on facebook, where they were starting
to get help. It said, "Here comes the Calvary",
and showed a ton of dump trucks lined up to start
clean up.....Awesome!! It's about time!!
#12

Valentine's cards for my family. Have a
