Spring Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope you are totally able to enjoy Spring where
ever you live. We sure have been.....
We just got back from SC last night, and we had
sort of cool Spring weather, which was delightful,
probably the last of the cool weather we will see
here in Florida, as it is 82 here today.
Pictures today are of Charleston, South Carolina

On with my Thankfuls...................

Thankful for a safe and uneventful trip to
Charleston, SC and back, to see our Daughter,
Son-in-love and furry Grandson dog, Bentley.
So happy to be here........

Thankful for another sunny beautiful day
and sitting outside while catching up and
resting up from our trip up. The day we
went there it was a sunny and beautiful
azure blue sky with no clouds anywhere,
all the way from Florida to South Carolina.
We couldn't believe it....cause it was right
after all those storms.

Thankful for a really yummy dinner at a place called
"Page's "Okra Grill" in Mount Pleasant, SC
My meal was grilled Maui, fried Okra,
mac n' cheese and hushpuppies. and we split a piece of
Peanut butter pie. Every bite was totally delicious.
We want to go again before we go home.
Note: We did go again for my birthday dinner
and we got take out for Sunday Brunch,
All wonderful! Could not say enough about
this restaurant. Service was excellent as well,
and they had this big adirondack chair which
reminded us to take a few pictures. If we
look a lil rough it's cause we were tired and
hungry after traveling all day. lol
Me and Hubby
and unfortunately he had his eyes closed
in both, and we got called to our table,
so that was that. He's cute anyway.
chair but I was afraid I might not be
able to get out!! lol
Thankful for brownie Sundae's made with
a clean brownie mix called "Simple Mills"
Almond flour baking mix. We are all trying
to eat with more wholesome ingredients,
and every time we find something new
we all get excited. lol
Oh, and the brownies were delicious with
vanilla frozen yogurt.

Thankful for a new HGTV "Home Town show"
with Ben and Erin Napier, where they are
working to restore a city here in Florida that
has sort of died because they built a major
highway around it, which just caused the
downtown area to die. It is in "Sebring
Florida". Really enjoying the series so far.
Course, we love anything Ben and Erin do!!

Thankful for our Daughters ham and scallion
quiche and strawberry and cream cheese
coffee cake. Our favorites that she makes us
every time we come.

Thankful for yogurt bowls my Daughter has
been making us. They are delicious and a great
healthy breakfast. Think they will become a
staple at our house now too.

Thankful that we are getting to celebrate our
birthdays with our Daughter and hubby.
Hubbies has passed and mine is coming next
week, but I will be home by then.

Thankful for a fun day out shopping. We went
to a clothing store we had never been to,
called "Versona". I have never even heard of it,
but it was such a fun store. Lots of brightly
colored clothing, and the cutest hats, (like those
Princess Kate and the English people wear, some
were a lil bigger) but they were adorable, Dee
thought they might be for the Ky. derby, because
a lot of people in Charleston have Derby parties.
They could be for Easter too!
They also had shoes and jewelry. There prices
were pretty reasonable too, so I got a pretty
solid lime green colored linen blouse for my
birthday which should be great for spring
and summer. The store was just a visual
delight, and once I was home I was sorry
I didn't think to take a few picture to show
yall, especially of those hats.............lol
# 10 and 11
Thankful for long talks, sitting outside in the sun
(my legs are more tanned now) and the shade,
when the sun got too hot, game playing, cooking
(for us girls) Watching HGTV's "Home Town"
as they fix up Seabring, Florida, and dry bar
comedy (that made my sides hurt, we were
laughing so hard) and March Madness
(for the guys) and riding around in a beautiful
neighborhood, that is just so southern looking,
and just the sheer fun and delight of being
together.

Just so thankful we got to go visit them for a week.
It was the perfect birthday gift for me, as I will be
Turning 73 in a few more days. So thankful we
can still do that. The whole week was just lovely
and couldn't have been any better.....We had the
best weather, most all were sunny and clear blue
skies, with temps 70 degrees are less,
The Lord just really blessed our week together!
and as much as we love going there (our home
away from home) we love coming home too!!
Always nice to sleep in your own bed....even
tho the other bed is comfy too!!
