Hello and Happy Thursday
Sweet Friends,
Hope you are off to a good Summer
season, so far. I am excited to get
out of the house later today, even if
it is just grocery shopping and errands
and you will read why....
Pictures today are of Gorgeous and
Beautiful our new "White Wedding
Hydrangeas", that we are so tickled
pink white about. lol Been trying
to grow hydrangeas for a long time
and had no luck, until these new sun
loving ones came along. They are in
the same family as "Lime Light
hydrangeas". Have to say that they
are clearly living up to their names.
Really didn't expect so many or so
large a bloom as these this year.
We have had them almost 2 mos.
now, as of June 30th. Have to say
they get very thirsty in that heat
tho.......so they have been a big
priority these last 2 months.
This is Beautiful, an she got off to a rough start because something broke off 3 of her limbs, and she was just a tad smaller than Gorgeous to start.
On with my Thankfuls.....
#1
Thankful that our Daughter and Son-in-love
made it back to SC safe and sound.
#2
Thankful to be feeling good again,
but got a relapse after I listed that,
on Monday, but am thankful to be
feeling good again today as I post
this........lol and the reason I am
so happy to get out of the house.
#3
Thankful for a new cereal we are really
enjoying, They are Blueberry rice Chexs.
A rice cereal with no wheat gluten added...............
#4
Thankful that "Gorgeous and Beautiful" are
at full bloom, and they even have some new
buds coming out, about 6 so far. They
are truly living up to their names, as you
can see from the pictures.
#5
Thankful for a Pastor we watch on Tv who
is from Tennessee, his name is Allen Jackson
and he is with World changers church and
we find him on TBN or Utube. Last night
his message was on the biblical perspective
of why we should support Israel. It was
very good.
#6
Thankful for better together show, it is
always such an uplifting show and like
sitting and talking with a bunch of ladies
with love and wisdom. Delightful.
#7
Thankful hubby is putting in some driplines
for Gorgeous and Beautiful, cause they need
water daily in the afternoon, and it is so
hot here. We have been doing it everyday
but just getting too hot.....Says 100 degrees
on our porch, and believe me it feels like it.
My body does not like this heat......
Note:
The drip lines are working out great,
Gorgeous and Beautiful seem happy,
and I never ceased to be amazed at
my hubbies skill set, don't know of
anything he can't do once he puts
his mind to it.
#8
Thankful President Trump is at the helm
of our country and that his heart is in
hand of the Lord according to
Proverb 21:1 NIV
and God directs it like a watercourse
wherever he pleases.
#9
Thankful for Dark chocolate Turtle
candy. They were always milk
chocolate before, and we enjoy
these so much more!
#10
Thankful that hubby got our van
serviced and worked on this week,
and thankful they did a great job
as usual. We have been going to
the same place for about 12 yrs.,
I would say. If your in the Orlando
area, it is Auto Nation of Winter Park.
(and I get no incentives or kickbacks
for telling you that) we are just
satisfied customers! lol
#11
Thankful for my cousin who is in
to family genealogy. I feel like I
always learn some tidbits of info
that I didn't know about my
Grandparents......this time he
told me that Pres. Truman used
to have breakfast at my Grand
parents and Dads diner when
he visited Key West, Florida.
They must have been thrilled.
(That was before I was born
or just a under 3 yrs. old)
#12
Thankful I happened to run into an
old blog post for Chicken salad (that
is like the old Chick-fil-a chicken salad
sandwiches, they used to sell)
Easy recipe too!
Click Here if you'd like the recipe.
That's all for Cozy Place this week folks,
Thankful you could spend some
time with us.
Have a lovely rest of the week,
Love, Hugs,
and last of June Blessings,
Nellie
Sweet friend,
If you don't know Jesus yet......
I would strongly encourage you to seek Him now
why He can still be found. I came to know Jesus when
I was 14 yrs. old and I can honestly say there has not
been one day I have ever regretted that decision.
We should all be concerned about our eternal
destination......cause it is gonna come one day
and none of us know when it will happen, so
we need to be prepared. If you should have
questions about it, please feel free to email
me at Nelliescozyplace@gmail.com.
Love and Blessings,
Nellie

Thursday Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope you are having a good week,
and that all your Dads had a great
Father's Day. Our's seemed to....
Looking forward to our Daughter
and family coming in later this week.
Pictures today are from our Father's Day
table 2025 I usually try to do a theme that
fits both of them, and was trying to figure
out a theme I had not done yet, and since I
saw it was flag day, I thought, great I will do
a patriotic theme since both our Dads are
Patriotic and already had everything I
needed to do it as well.
Perfect!
So on with my Thankfuls............
#1
Thankful that my friend who's Daughter and
family are moving to California, made it
there safe and sound. This was not your
typical get to the airport and jump on a
plane and go....NO.... My friend and her
Daughter traveled with a 4 and a half yr.
old, an almost 2 yr. old and an almost 2
month old baby. It took 2 cars just to get
to the airport with all 3 children having
to be in car seats and with luggage and a
pack andplay, which all had to go on the
plane as well, and it was a 5 hr. flight. Her
Son-in-love drove 3 days by himself......12 hrs.
a day, and arrived there on Wednesday, so
he could have their base housing secured in
time for their arrival. Many of us have
prayed for this trip, as there was a lot to
be concerned about to say the least, but
the Lord has answered prayer after
prayer. He truly showed himself to be
with them every step of the way on
this air flight.
Note: Please pray their furniture and
personal things will get there before they
told them which is not until June 23rd, so
they have been living in their house without
anything but clothing pretty much. So it has
been a longgg week I am sure!!
#2
Thankful to have been a part of their
journey and to know the Lord answered
so many prayers on their behalf, just
makes me weep with gratitude knowing
what a loving God we serve, and how
much He loves us.
#3
Thankful that gifts are wrapped and dinner
planned and shopping done for Father's Day
dinner. Working on the table today, and will
make Beef Stroganoff tomorrow for
Sunday, as it is best the day after.
#4
Thankful for a lovely visit with our new
neighbor Sat. morning. We had invited them
over last week, and her hubby was sick,
so they couldn't come, so she text and ask
if she could bring us some banana bread
This morning, and we had a lovely visit.
she is our Daughters age, and such a
sweet young lady.
#5 and 6
Thankful for being able to attend lil darlings
dance recital tonight. It was quite good, and
she did a really great job and we can see
how she has really grown in confidence.
Then we went out to dinner with she and
our Son. A very pleasant evening, I have
to say. Also we have been wanting to
try our Sonny's Barbecue place for
awhile now, cause we had gotten where
we didn't like it for a long time, but they
have redone it, so our Son suggested going
there, so very Thankful we really enjoyed it.
#7
Thankful for a nice restful and peaceful
Father's day. We watched our Sunday
Service from home for a number of
reasons, and then our Son and lil darling
came in the afternoon to celebrate.
So we had a nice dinner, visit, and UNO
card games. Both Dads were happy
with their dinner, cards and gifts
and the fun time!
So Mission accomplished!!! lol
#8
Thankful to sleep in this Monday morning
as Iwas exhausted as it had been a busy
end of the week.
#9
Thankful and excited that we will get
to see our Daughter and Son-in-love
for a few days again this week which
is very unusual.....
#10
Thankful for Cuban food, which we had
for dinnera number of nights. Black beans
yellow rice, and a meat dish called Picadillo.
Learned to make this in our first year of
marriage, taught by a Cuban friend and
work mate.
Click here to see recipe for Picadillo
Click here to see recipe for Black Beans
and rice. Also another Cuban dish
called Ropa Veija, all on same post.
#11
Thankful that our Daughter, Son-in-love and
furry grandson dog got in safe and sound
from S Carolina.
#12
Thankful we had a good time with them
as always. We all tried to go out to dinner
last night, but unfortunately, we went to
Target to meet our Son, and I had been
having a headache but was better, but all
of a sudden I started to get whoozy
headed and weak and my equilibrium was
off and could not walk very straight, so
had thinking it might be blood sugar, they
got me a snicker bar to eat, but it didn't
help, so we all had to come home and we
ordered take out.
I am sure they were all disappointed,
as I was, but they all had a great attitude,
and took good care of me. So thankful
for my sweet family and that Dee and
family got to visit again so soon, and
thankful that I am feeling better today.
So don't know if it was just a sinus issue
electrolytes or what it was, but happy
to be feeling better today. Kids are on
their way to see her hubbies parents for
his Mom's birthday and to visit with the
whole family.
Well, That's it for this week at Cozy Place.
This is the Father's Day edition. lol
Thanks for stoppin by.....
Have a fantastic weekend
Love, Hugs,
and Mid June Blessings,
Nellie

As a father has compassion on his children,

Happy Thursday, Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you all well and happy.
Can't believe only 8 more days and
it will officially be Summer, course,
it has been like Summer here in
Florida for awhile now. Am trying
to decide if I want to add a bit of
a summer coastal look in the family
or living room.......will see once we
get Father's day under our belt. lol
Pictures today are of another
Father's day table past. It was
called the Kings of coffee.
To see original Post
This was hung over the table
So on with my Thankfuls...........
#1
Thankful that our Daughter and lil darling
got in safe and sound and had very lil rain
in their travels, which was great.
#2
Thankful for a fun time out with the
family going to "Home Sense" and to
our fav Mexican restaurant, then back
to our Son's for dessert and we
watched a lil dry bar comedy.
#3, and 4
Thankful for another fun day with
the family on Friday, and thankful
she was able to celebrate her Dad
for an early Father's day treat,
and Thankful we were all feeling
well the whole time she was here.
#5
Thankful to have a few hours to
catch up with Dee by ourselves,
before she had to leave for home,
and for the great time we all
had together. Smiling over here!!
#6
Thankful to the Lord, for our prayer
chain and the prayers of friends that
the Lord definitely heard that made us
all feel well, so we could enjoy our
time together, and so thankful to
be feeling back to normal once again.
#7
Thankful our girl made it home safe
and sound and in record time. The
Lord answered all our prayers for
her as always.
#8
Thankful her hubby and doggie
were so happy to see her as always.
Bentley was not eating.....must of
missed his Mommy, cause he is
fine now!! lol
#9
Thankful that our hydrangeas
"Gorgeous" and "Beautiful" now have
hydrangea flowers on them and some
are still not open yet, but they are
coming along and look so pretty.
#10
Thankful that we got to see our
friends Daughter and family before
they move to California. They are
a young military family (Marine)
with 3 small children. Such sweet
kids and doing a great job with
their 2 lil girls and 1 new baby boy.
Thankful we got our freezer
cleaned out. Hubby had to work
on our ice maker and we had
to take everything out, so was
a great time to rearrange and
organize everything. Also thankful
that freezers are so much easier
to clean than they were years
ago when you had to defrost
them and do all that. Now, that
is progress, PTL
#12
Thankful for mornings that I wake
up a daybreak, and look out the
window on our backyard and all
is still and quiet, like the trees and
plants, and critters are all still
sleeping, and all just seems right
with the world. Such sweet and
peaceful moments. This morning
was one of those mornings!!
Well, folks, that is it for Cozy
Place today. This is the Daughter's
visit edition!! It was short but sweet
and packed with joy and blessings
of being together, always a great
time for all of us, and we long for
the day we can live in the same place,
which might not be till we get to heaven,
but in the meantime we are thankful
for cell phones, email, facebook
messenger, facetime and short or
longer visits that help us stay
connected.
Thanks for making us a part of
your day, and have a wonderful
rest of the week.
Love, Hugs and
Mid-June Blessings,
Nellie
