Thankful Thursday March 9, 2023, and our last Winter Table for a Birthday Celebration

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.

Psalm 66:1  NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Can you believe we are 9 days into March already??

Little darling had her 10th  birthday this past

 weekend.......can hardly believe that either. She got

 to go to Sea World for her birthday this year,

 so she is so excited.  Hubbies birthday was this

 week too,  so we will be celebrating both of

them this weekend. Hubby turns 75 this year!

Pictures today are from my Sister-in-law Susan's

 birthday celebration. Decided to just do a Simple Winter

 table since all my Winter decoration were still up.

On with my Thankfuls.............

#1

Thankful for sweet friends who are praying for us, as me and my hubby have colds now.

Note: Doing much better not quite there yet,  we are actually beginning to wonder if this is caused from allergies as the pollen count is high.

#2

Thankful that Baby Lila has been doing great every since she has been home.  Saw a pic of her on facebook and she was just a smilin' which made my heart happy.

Note: We were sorry to hear yesterday that her heart valve is leaking at a moderate to serious level,  so she may have to have more surgery.  If you feel so led please pray for healing for this lil 6 mo. old baby girl, and her sweet parents and grandparents.

#3

Thankful to be working on some cards for our

shop again.  Been busy working on family cards

for awhile now.  I convert most of them into

cards for sale, but haven't had time to do

 that yet.  Most of the time my family and

friends are my inspiration.

#4

Thankful we found a new TV series to watch.

Actually it is an old one, that I had seen a few

times years ago. You might have seen it before

too, it's called "Medicine Woman".  It's very

good, clean, great story line and great acting.

We found it on the Hallmark Movie chanel.

#5

Thankful for InstaCart, and those who work for them.

We don't use them all the time, but they are really

 quite handy when you are sick or pressed for time.

It is a great service to everyone!

#6

Thankful to hear there is a really neat movie coming

 out just before Easter with Andrea Bocelli, his family

 and a number of other Christian music artists and

 it is all filmed in Italy. Check now for a theatre near

 you to see if they will have it.  It will show

April 2,3,4, and 6th. Sounds like a Wonderful

Movie Event.  It is put on by TBN and we have seen

 some clips and think it will be a blessing

 to all who see it.

#7

Thankful for a really cool "God Wink" this morning.

I happened to come across an old blog post of mine

 from 2013, and I decided to click on a person who

 commented to see if they are still blogging. Most of

 the time they aren't,  but this time they were.....and

 there blog header said is anyone out there??

 Anyway, it was a blogger who had not blogged

 in awhile and was wondering if she should start

 up again.  So was so struck by how the Lord

 orchestrated another blogger from 10 yrs. ago to

 go by and encourage her to keep on blogging.

 You might want to check her out and

encourage her too.  Her blog is called

  "Hidden art of Homemaking".

Click here to go there

I just love how the Lord is so intimately involved

 in ours lives and shows us many times in simple

 things like this!!  Some would call it coincidence

but I believe it was a divinely inspired.

#8

Thankful that my honey had a good birthday.

 He heard from everyone he loves, and opened

some of his gifts and really loved them.

Then we went to "Fresh Market" and got

 some fun dessert.  They have these pillow

cookies and they are amazingly good,

so we got the almond ones this time and

they are just so yummy.  Have never seen

these cookies anywhere else, so that's why

they are so special to us!!

 Then out for a good dinner just the

2 of us. Will be celebrating on Sunday for

He and lil darling.

#9

Thankful for my hubby and what a Good man he is,

 always there for me for over 52 years now.  No words

 could convey how much I love him and appreciate him

#10

Thankful to get to see our new friends for just

a short while, short is better than no time.

Hoping we get to see them again before they

go up North till July.

Yes, that is our Christmas turned Winter tree, we took everything off and left it natural, and we were sorry to see it go this week, as we have really enjoy the lights all this time.

#11

Thankful that we at least got our Winter tree

 taken down this week, and some other things,

 but didn't want to tear the whole house apart

 since we are having the other birthday celebrations

 this coming weekend, and would not have time

 to replace things with Spring/Easter decor,

So it would be a naked house, and no body

 likes a naked house!!  lol

#12

Thankful for a sweet Christian man named Thomas,

 who has been a huge help to our Daughter and Son-in-

love during a very frustrating and difficult situation, and

 also for an older man friend who has also been a help as

 well.  It's a blessing to us as parents too, since we don't

live near by, to see how the Lord looks out for our kids.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, guess that's it for this week
at Cozy Place.
Have a Wonderful Rest of the Week!
and
Thanks for coming by,
Love, Hugs, and Early
March Blessings,
Nellie
Thankful Thursday March 2, 2023, and pictures of kittens
Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them,
Psalm 69:34
Welcome to Thankful Thursday
Sweet Friends,
Hope you have had a good week and are having
some weather you enjoy. The first half of our week
was great, the 2nd half not, eh, not what we planned
 on, I had plans to start taking down our Winter decor,
 but hubby has had a cold and not feeling well, and
I am not feeling great either, so life is what happens
 when we are making our plans - is our motto for this
week, I guess. Hope your plans pan out!!  lol
Pictures today are of cute kitties
 compliments of Unsplash.com Hopefully
they will put a smile on your face like
they did on mine!!  lol
Well, on with my Thankfuls.............
#1
Thankful for some encouraging and exciting news we heard on TBN CenterPoint News.  It is about a cure for lung cancer and maybe more cancers. Be sure to read about it as it might be good to know for someone you know or love.
  Here is the link
#2
Thankful for Organic grass fed beef, it makes the best hamburgers I've ever tasted.
#3
Thankful that a 10 yr. old boy we have been praying for now for months because he has cancer.  He had a bone marrow transplant back in Dec. and finally was released from the hospital but he and his Mom are staying in the Ronald McDonald house because he has to stay near the hospital for 2 more months. He had to go to the emergency room and of course, they were scared it had something to do with his transplant but actually he was dehydrated because he has had a bad stomach problem where he has felt nauseous for months, and can hardly stand to eat or drink.  While in the hospital again they found out he had some sort of stomach infection and they treated it and he is feeling so much better already. We were so happy and thankful to hear that good news, as he and his family have just been thru the wringer.
#4
Thankful for a fun time with the family celebrating
my sister-in-laws birthday. We had Cuban food, key lime Pie, and a game of Apples to Apples
#5
Thankful lil darling was feeling so much better than
on Wed- Saturday, and we got to have her again
on Monday,  Did her school work and managed
to have a lil fun too.
#6
Thankful hubbies root canal turned out
fine....No pain thankfully, and he really liked
the Dentist he had.
#7
Thankful that it looks like our friends 5 month old
 Granddaughter who had the open heart surgery a few
 weeks ago will be coming home on Friday, finally! We
 are all so happy to hear she is doing so much better.
 They had quite a few scares in the course of it all,  but
 the Lord has answered many prayers.
Note: Now it might be Wed. or Thursday she is doing
so well........
#8
Thankful to have finished ordering our
 Granddaughters birthday presents. I typically get her
 clothes, so picked out some nice spring/summer outfits.
She really likes getting clothes too!  Which is great!
#9
So Thankful my friends Granddaughter and Daughter
came home from the hospital today,  they were there
almost 2 weeks, The Mom and Dad were able to
 stay right in the room with the baby in the NICU.
Dad had to come home on Sunday to take care of their
other lil girl who is about 3 yrs. old, so my friend
 could return home to her own responsibilities, but
of course, she felt awful to have to leave, so thankful
they were only there a few more days,  they thought
it might be a lot longer. More answers to prayers
that were going up from so many.
#10
Thankful for a really long phone call with my Daughter
 today, as we haven't had a chance to talk since last
 Thursday, which is long for us!!  We so enjoy hanging
 out this way, since we can be in the same place,
#11
Thankful for my newest guilty pleasure -
 Snicker ice cream bars.
They are so yummy!
#12
Thankful for all those provisions that we can so take
for granted: a bed to sleep in, running water, indoor
 plumbing, a roof over our head, food in the fridge and
 pantry, and a car to drive.
Well, that's it for Cozy Place this week,
Thanks for dropping by.......
Hope you have a delightful Friday
and
weekend.
Love, Hugs and
Early March Blessings,
Nellie
Thankful Thursday February 23, 2023, and a few pics from Cozy place
Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.”
1 Chronicles 16:36 NIV
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope you have had a less heartbreaking
week that we have had.  We know so many
folks we love who are going through so
 many hard things, that at a certain point
 on Wednesday, I just thought Lord please,
 I can't stand to hear anymore bad news,
but God.......We took the time to pray as
we were sitting in the car waiting for lil
darling to finish her dance class, and that
made all the difference in our hearts, minds
 and spirits, and our hope was vey quickly
restored. Thankful once again for the
gift of prayer...........it is one of the best
things we can do and one of the best
gifts we can give others and ourselves.
So if you happened to be feeling over
whelmed or heavy hearted for those you
love and care about.......Talk and pour out
you heart to the Lord on their behalf.
I promise you will be glad you did.
Pictures today are sort of a hodge podge
from around our home. The white roses
were my Valentine gift, and they are the
closest thing to Spring at our house
right now.........lol
So on with my Thankful Post.....
#1
Thankful that my friends little 5 mo. old
Granddaughter came thru open heart surgery,
but they weren't able to do the left side of her
heart, so they didn't actually close her up thinking
 they might have to go back in, then they had
 a scare last night they might have to put her
on life support as her Blood pressure was low,
her heart very weak, and something else and
 we were all concerned when we went to bed Friday
night, as to what Sat. might bring, but she had
 an amazing turnaround during the night. Her
 Blood pressure normalized, her blood work perfect,
and other things that were good. Now just  a
 breathing tube and they felt like she was so stable
enough they could close her incision.  So we are
 all praising the Lord for His answers to prayer
 once again.
Note: This poor lil baby now has a partially
collapsed lung and a lung infection, so if you
feel so led, please pray for baby Lila and
her Sweet parents.
#2
Thankful to hear that a child that was on an amber
 alert the other night was found. Love hearing
that.....
Our simple Valentines Table
#3
Thankful for another answer to prayer for our friends
Son, he has bad back problems but all of a sudden
he was in more pain that he had ever experienced
before and could not walk.  As of now his back
pain has lessened quite a bit,  so hoping to hear
that he is up and walking soon.
#4
Thankful to have gotten my kitchen floor done,
we have laminate in there, and it just needed
a good going over, you know like a Spring cleaning
type of cleaning.  lol
#5
Thankful to have had a few nice days this week
to sit out in the sun.  Feels Wonderful....
#6
Thankful for a great day at church and
the young Pastor I told you about last week
did the preaching today.  His Father-in-love
happens to be our old Pastor from our first
25 yrs. at our church. He was in town and
came to visit, it was really great to see him.
Been a long time.
The next 3 pictures are the last of our
 Christmas to Winter decor...........
#7
Thankful for a Special Service we had at our church this passed Sunday evening. It was a Music and Scripture reading service. All the music had scripture in it, an then lots of different people read different scriptures from the bible. It was such a blessing, and we all felt just bathed in the word of God.
#8
Thankful that we met a new couple at church recently that is our age, and we went out for dessert with them on Sunday Evening.  It was a delightful time, and they are definitely kindred spirits. They have been through a lot
of very hard things in the last years but have the most
gracious and grateful spirits.  So Refreshing.
#9
Thankful that we got to talk to a young woman
who was pretty inebriated, but saw us talking
outside the restaurant and came up and spoke
to us. Clearly a divine appointment. Been
praying for her all week, and hoping she
might show up for church next week.
#10
Thankful we got to have lil darling all day on Wed. and for a sleep over. Didn't get to have as much fun as we wanted to tho, cause she had school work to do, and dance class to go to, which were all unexpected, and then she was coming down with a cold and not feeling good part of the time, but we were are always thankful to get to see her
No matter the situation.
#11
Thankful that a difficult situation our Daughter
and Son-in-love had going on since November
seems to finally be coming to a partial end, hopefully
next week.  Then it will be on to phase 2, and
hopefully it will end a lot sooner than Phase 1.  lol
#12
Thankful that someone we know and love who is
experiencing marital problems have finally decided
to go to marriage counseling. So praying for the
Lord to lead them to just the right counselor and to
 soften hearts and give ears to hear!
Scripture Sunday
I think the Lord has been showing us this since
last Wednesday when revival broke out at Asbury College
Awesome things going on in our country.  I have read
that it has happened in Ohio too.  I have seen on face
book that it has spread to other states, but don't know
that for sure, but I sure hope it keeps spreading.
If we ever needed a revival in our country....
it is definitely now!
Have a Hopeful and Joyful Week,
Hugs, Nellie
