Thankful Thursday February 25, 2016, Simple Sunday Dinner Table

Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
Psalms 105:4

Greetings Sweet Friends,

So how has your week been??

Hope it has been a good one........

Mine has been good......but busy.
Got quite a bit accomplished this
week, which is always a nice feeling,
and.......
finally getting a chance to do a post!

Took some pictures of our Sunday
dinner table...........my green print
china seemed to be beckoning to me
since it hasn't been used probably
since last Spring I would say.......
and it seemed like a spring day out
side. As I began to get the plates out
I realized  I could also use my pretty
 green goblets Scott and Megan
gave me for Christmas, so that
made it even more fun............
It looks a bit springy but used the
khaki tablecloth to make it not so
over the top Spring looking..and it
could possibly be used for
 St. Patricks Day,
if one was so inclined, and maybe
added a few shamrocks or not!  lol

Just a simple easily doable table
 with things I borrowed from
 around the house.

Note: For some reason lately my
print has been having a mind of
it's own, when I type it... the print
is all the same size, so it is making
some print larger than others,
Gotta get hubby to take a look
when he has time......

Well, on with Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful

#1
for a lovely Sunday afternoon and
evening with Scott, Megan and lil
darling.  It was especially nice since
we have not seen each other for any
long period of time since Christmas,
as we had all been sick, and then me
with my back issues.  Makes life
seem a bit more normal again!

Lil Darlings place.
The bunny silverware belonged
to our daughter DeeAnna when
she was little, a gift from my late
Mother for her........now I like to
think of it as her gift to lil darling
as well............

#2
for getting a lil work done in the
backyard on Sat. afternoon, didn't do
that much, but that lil bit looks better
and you gotta start somewhere, and it
was just great to be out there, as it
 was perfect day weatherwise

#3
that I got 2 routine medical tests
done on Tuesday,  just awaiting
results now.  Always feels good
to get those things over with.

Used a very simple centerpiece that we can
see over so it doesn't impede conversation.

#4
that we finally found a new bed and
it should arrive this Saturday. We are
hoping this will be a good prescription
for my back and sleeping problems.
Really looking forward to a good
 nights sleep, Lord willing!!

#5
that Scott was in town this week and
that they came over to help us take
down our old bed and  move every-
thing out, to make room for the new
one. Such a help.....quick, easy and
 painless for us older folks.......lol

#6
for chicken enchiladas they make
a Sam's club,  they were dinner
for all of us tonight. Delicious.
All we had to do was heat them,
and cut up some lettuce, tomatoes
and cilantro, and put out some
sour cream and guacamole.
Quick and easy after a good but
tiring day...........

#7
for a fun time at Home Goods
on Wed. afternoon.  Boy are they
all geared up for Spring, the store
is crammed with beautiful things.
Lots of furniture too, had a really
good time checking it all out.

#8
that I found myself a birthday
present (it isn't till the end of
March), but just couldn't resist
some pretty new pictures I just
loved for Spring.  They are
really beautiful watercolors,
that are matted and framed
and I am so hoping they work
out well, or back to the store
 they will go............

#9
that hubby will be able to work
at home on Friday as we have
some dear friends coming for
dinner....and now they can come
earlier since we want have to
wait for him to commute.

With Polar Coordinates Affect
This affect fascinates me, like pop art
or something!

#10
that God Loves Me, and sent Jesus
to demonstrate that love to me, and
to everybody on earth who chooses
to believe Him..........
John 3:16

#11
that I have a husband and family
that loves me.........which helps to
 make me a happy woman..........

#12
for Suave cocoa butter and shea
creamy body wash.  It has a lovely
soft fragrance and makes your skin
feel great.  It is also very inexpensive.
I learned about it from my daughter
Dee......she put it in her guest bath
the last time we were there, and we
finally found some at Walmart and
have been using it every since.  Isn't
it great that we can learn things from
 our children ...............
I love that......cause we have some
smart kiddos............lol

Well, here's to another week at
Cozy Place..............

Happy you could stop in........

Would love it if you would share

something you are thankful for too!

Have a Fabulous Friday and

weekend,  with those you
hold dear..............

Thankful Thursday February 18, 2016, Tulips and Chocolate

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Happy Friday to ya,

What cha' been up to???

Anything fun???

I did this fun lil vignette last
Wed. before Valentine's day
as I wanted to try out my individual
fondue pot, so hubby and I could
make chocolate covered straw-
berries on Valentine's Day!So since
 I had the pretty Tulips
just decided to do a fun food
vignette to go along with it.
So hope you enjoy it!!
It was done just for me and
YOU!

This is how the Tulips started out!

Can you see the chocolate chips in what
looks like just a white cup in the middle
of the vignette??  (Pics Below)
Well, it is
a small fondue pot that you put a tea
light candle under neath and it melts
your chocolate or cheese, and it comes
with a  lil skewer that is attached to the
side of the cup for dipping whatever you
want to put in there.
Got one for Dee for Christmas..... it
was on her Christmas wish list, and
decided to get one for us too.  So this
was my first time to try it out.  Was
planning to show you how neat the
strawberries looked when finished
but think I didn't let it melt enough
and they just looked like a mess....
so learned one thing,  make sure
you let it get hotter.....lol
but have to say they did taste great!

So one with Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful

#1
for a  lovely Valentine's weekend,
just the two of us.  We celebrated
a lil bit every day.

#2
that I got to see one of my close
friends at church on Sunday, as
she goes to church elsewhere,
and it was so great to see her
even for just a few minutes as
it has been awhile just due to
circumstances.

#3
we also got to see our older Pastor
that used to be at our church over
9 yrs. ago,  along with his dear wife,
they come down every Winter from
 Ohio, and sometimes have stayed
with us........they look great and it
is always such a treat to see them,
and we will be getting together
with them soon.

This is how they looked after 3-4 days.

#4
that our DeeAnna is okay,  she
was having a lot of  pain and
heaviness in her chest and they
decided to go to the emergency
room Valentines night.  They
checked her out pretty good and
think it was either pleurisy or
something out of joint in her
back that was causing pain in
her ribs, or possibly a pulled
muscle from some equipment
she helped move at work.

Update:  she is feeling much
better at this writing.  PTL!

#5
for a sweet and encouraging email
from my daughter in love, Megan
 on Tuesday.

#6
also that Megan is feeling better
as she had some really bad
 Migraine headaches over the
weekend.  Bummer!

This is how the Tulips looked after 4 days.

#7
that we have seen some encouraging
signs in a couple we have been praying
for that really need a miracle for their
marriage. So sure seems the Lord is
working................

#8
for Blue Mountain ecards, they are

one of my latest finds.  I love sending
out cute or meaningful ecards and they
are so handy....you can cheer someone
up any time day or night and quickly.
Plus lil darling gets a kick out of
them too.

This is after 6 days.

#9
that I was able to get some images
(for comparison) to take with me
for one of my tests next week.
Last time I tried to get a medical
report it took me almost a year of
calling and having no one return
my call........so I am quite happy!!

#10
for a gloriously beautiful pink
and orange sunset sky I saw on
Wed. evening........
It really took my breath away.
I tried to capture it, but it wasn't
even close to how amazing it was.

#11
for Godiva Chocolates.  Yum Yum!
I bought a lil box to share with hubby
for Valentine's Day.

Just FYI - I never knew this, but get
emails from them and read that you
can pick out your own chocolates
and make your own box,  so that
is what I did because we tend to
only eat dark chocolates.

These last 2 pics are how they look after
9 days...........notice the beginning pic.
I love Tulips....I think they are comical
flowers.....because they  definitely have
a mind of their own.  lol

#12
for a book called " Lost int he Middle"
Midlife and the grace of God, by
Paul David Tripp.
I think every Christian in Mid Life
needs to read it.  This is about my
5th time, it is a great book that can
really give you an attitude adjust-
ment when you need it..........as
he shows you a whole new way
of looking at things.  It has been
an inspiration and help to me
quite a number of times.

Well, there you have it another week
at Cozy Place..........

Thanks for coming by to visit, and
hope you will say Hello..........and
share something you are thankful
for too!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Love,  Hugs and

Last of February Blessings,

Nellie
Can hardly believe we only have

10 days of Feb. left.  I actually forgot
it was a leap year until I saw it on
the calendar a few days ago.  lol

Valentines living Room #3 (some With Photo affects)

Hello Sweet Friends,

Happy Wednesday night!!
Hope you have had a good week
so far............

Mine has been good, had some nice
long chats with my daughter and finally
got some appts. scheduled for routine
tests that need to be done, checking out
and trying to educate myself on new
beds, as we are in the market for one,
and just doing the normal routine
household stuff.......and watched lil
darling today ..... played Tea Party,
quite a number of times, did some
 pretend shopping, looked at ecards
online, did some reading by me and
her, and took a 2 hr. nap with her,
 that was quite by mistake......couldn't
believe I  went out like a light.lol
So guess I must have needed it....

Had all the pics for this post done
yesterday but my neighbor needed to
use our computer to get her school
work done last night and tonight, so
am hoping I can get this finished up
and posted, late tho it might be.  lol

These are the rest of the pics from
our Valentines Living room,  and
many have some photo affects, as
well........I get a kick out of those
myself....so hope you enjoy them.

Back In January I got this darling lil hand
made heart pillow from a dear blogging
friend, all the way from Australia,  and
of course, wanted to find just the right
place to add it to my Valentines
 collection.

Thanks so much for this pretty
 handiwork... Mimi
I love it.............

So removed the pear and tried it here.

and liked it.................

then decided to try it here in our
recliner along with another pillow..........

and that is where she stayed.....
because no one ever sits in this chair
but me........so it is safe from harm.

This table sits right next to the chair.

This lil girl statue sits on the
floor next to the above table.

and this shelf hangs right above the table
and chair,  could have sworn I took a pic
of the whole area, but could not find
it if I did.....lol

Just a closer look
