Good Sunday Morning
Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you well and happy,
and having a restful day.......
and having a restful day.......
Here is the quote for the day.
“Worry about tomorrow
steals the joy from today.”
steals the joy from today.”
― Barbara Cameron, A Time to Love
Oh My goodness......as a reformed
worrier myself, who still can relapse
from time to time....
I can so agree with this quote.
In Fact, my life verse is
Philippians 4:6 and 7
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present
your requests to God. And the peace
of God, which transcends all under-
standing, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus.
Early on in my christian life,
about 35-36 yrs.ago to be exact,
I memorized this verse, so that
I could quote it to myself, and do
what it says every time I began
to worry. I am happy to report
this verse has served me well, and
has been transforming to my life,
and I am No longer the great
worrier I used to be....not that
it never happens, but it doesn't
happens anywhere near as much
as it used to.......and once I
realize I am worrying I start
quoting and praying and that
peace that passes all under-
standing comes instead.......
God's word is.....
timeless,
powerful and
transforming!
Happy Pondering!!
Love, Hugs, and
Sunday Blessings,
Nellie

As you know, I am an animal lover. Matthew 6:25-34 speaks of worry. Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE...look at the birds of the air they do not sow nor reap yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than them? Who by worrying can add a single year to his life? (In fact, worry is a stress that can bring on bad health.)... The lilies of the field do not toil or spin, yet not even Solomon...was dressed like one of them. If that is how GOD clothes the grasses of the field that is here today and gone tomorrow, how much more clothed are you. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." My personal verses I claim each day is Prov. 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all (my) heart and lean not to (my) own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all (I) do and He will make my pathways straight." The 2nd verse is from Psalms 145:21, "Let EVERY CREATURE praise His Holy Name FOREVER and EVER." One Day all creation will be praising the LORD, not just man who is the crown of GOD's creation, but also the birds of the air, the lilies of the field and ALL CREATION! Amen! I love you all, Susan
