Thankful Thursday May 17, 2018, Golf cart Home Tour #6

Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what
 he has done.
1 Chronicles 16:8  NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you well and happy.

We are well and happy over here
as we are counting down to my
hubbies day of retirement, actually
 kind of semi-retirement  really,
which means he will not have to go
into work anymore, ( he only goes
in a day and a half now, but it will
be very nice not to have to go in at
all and he will have no set schedule
but will be working only on an as
needed basis since they have not
been able to find a replacement for
him yet.  So eventually he will work
himself out of a job,  which is great
and this will sort of ease him into
retirement.  Only 14 days to go!!!

Pictures today are from our golf
 cart tour of  Charleston again!
If you missed Tour #5 and would
like to see it.  Just click here.

So on with it........

#1
Thankful to have finally gotten a
Vit D test done that I have needed
to do for awhile as a recheck to
know if I am back to normal.

#2
Thankful for a yummy steak
dinner at home on Mother's
Day for just hubby and I.

#3
Thankful that we got to
spend the evening with lil
darling on Mother's Day, so
 her Mom and Dad could
 celebrate their Anniversary.

#4
Thankful we will celebrate
 Mother's Day this coming
 weekend with Megan and
 the family.  We always like
to drag out our celebrations
for as long as we can
anyway!!  lol

#5

Thankful for the encouraging,
sweet cards and gifts I rec'd
 from my hubby and daughter
 for Mother's Day.  Also for
texts and phone calls from
 family members.

#6
Thankful for all the much needed
rain we have gotten this week, as our
grass, bushes and trees are all such
a rich green now, and look
beautiful.........and I think I heard
them singing the Halleleujah
 chorus.....lol

#7
Thankful for praying friends.

#8
Thankful that they have moved
the new American Embassy to
Jerusalem which shows our great
kinship and bond with Israel.

#9
Thankful for President Trump
having the courage to finally move
our embassy to Israel, as that decision
was made by the U.S., 23 yrs. ago,
but no one has had the courage
to do it before now.

#10
Thankful to see lil signs that God
heard and is starting to answer
the prayers of his people for the
unity of our country on May 3rd,
 "The National Day of Prayer".
That was the major focus of the
prayers and No matter what the
 reasons of the heart are.....they
are positive things that can and
will help move our country in a
better direction hopefully.

#11

Thankful for a new and delicious
coffee creamer I found this week.
It is called "Natural Bliss Honey
creamer", and it is delicious and
makes a marvelous cup of  coffee,
so if you like honey you will love
it..it also has a lil less sugar, fat
and calories, which is another
plus............lol

#12

Thankful for quick and easy Peach
cobbler for breakfast this morning.
Delicious and fairly healthy as well.

Here's how:
When you have extra leftover
biscuits, cut one in half, and  put in
a bowl, then grab 1 or 2 of the small
containers of diced peaches (that are
made by Del Monte in the canned fruit
section of your grocery store) dump
one with juice and all on top of your
biscuit, if I use 2 I drain one of them,
then microwave for 1 min. (you might
need to do it for 30 sec. intervals to
see what time is right for you)
then add some frozen vanilla yogurt,
a lil whip cream and some pecan
 pieces on top,and commence eating!
Yum Yum!!
Also great if you have them on
hand is to add blueberries to the
mix, makes it extra yummy.

Well, here's another week at Cozy

Place.......

Thanks for coming to visit.

Would love for you to share some-
thing you are thankful for......

Love, Hugs and
Mid May Blessings,

Nellie

  2. So nice that your hubby is closing in on retirement. It's really fun having more time together, but you also have to remember to each have time to yourselves as well. I've been retired for 8 years and The Man for 6+. It's really very important to have things to do....too much idleness is not healthy!

We took a horse-drawn carriage tour of Charleston when we there in 2014. It was between Christmas and New Years, so every home on our tour was decked out for the holidays, and they were just beautiful! Your photos brought back some very fond memories.

Hope you have a lovely week!

  3. Hi Carol,
Yes, we are very excited about it, and have been discussing some of what you are saying as we totally agree with the idleness thing. We are making lists of things we think about that we can do around the house
and out of the house. We will continue to watch our lil darling on Wednesday and help her do her school work and Sunday will stay the same, so pretty much everything else is up for grabs....lol We will hopefully
be working on an online card business as well. Thanks for your advice, it is good to hear things from someone who has already been doing this......

I love horse drawn carriage rides and bet having that one at Christmas was totally awesome with all the Christmas decorations. Glad these pics brought back fond memories for you. We have done a carriage
ride in Savannah and St. Augustine, so might have to check out one in Charleston sometime.... Thanks for the idea.....

You have a great week too, hon, thanks for stopping by.....
    Blessings,
    Nellie

That is great that all your levels are good. Certainly happy mine are in the normal range,
even tho it is in the low normal....gonna continue to take some daily for a while.

Yes, I have to say we always have a good time with her. She is such a lil sweet pea.

pound cake sounds good with that too.

Well Happy Monday to you, have a great week,
