Thankful Thursday July 10, 2025, our simple easy 4th of July table

God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 NIV

Greeting Sweet Friends,

I am thinking I probably don't

need to ask how your week was,

if it was like ours.  We started

off feeling in high spirits and

happy, about the OBB bill,

seeing our old friends, and

4th of July, only to hear the sad

and heart wrenching news

about the Texas flash floods.

Feeling so sad for all those

who lost loved ones, especially

all those children.  Reminds

me of the North Carolina floods

all over again.  So thankful

for the gift of prayer and the

ability to give when you are

so far away, and that's all

you can do.  We also heard

about another long time friend

who is having kidney and

heart problems this week

as well.  That's life, things

happen, and you just have

to still look for the good

that is still there, and grieve

the hard stuff to the best

of your ability, but make

sure to include the Lord in

all of it........

Pictures today are of our

4th of July table this year.

It was simple and easy but

always beautiful when you

are using our American flag.

         So on with my Thankfuls....

#1

Thankful that we had some long

time, dear friends come to visit

today.  It was short but sweet as

always. We have known them for

44 years, and we always just pick

up where we left off.  Great kind

 of friends to have.

#2

Thankful that my sweet techy

hubby was able to help get them

on a much cheaper cell phone

plan that will save them about

 $125.00 a month.

#3

Thankful for a fun afternoon

with our Son and lil darling.

Typical 4th of July food, and

some card playing, then they

were off to find some fireworks.

#4

Thankful that our sweet neighbors

across the street did a fireworks

extravaganza.  So we just stood

outside and watched till we got

tired of the mosquitos, then we

came inside and watched. They

had some really good fireworks

that were almost like

 professional ones.

#5

Thankful that it had rained earlier

in the day. Since we have a lot of

woods around us, I am always

concerned they could start a fire,

so it made it even more enjoyable

 to know everything was wet.

#6

Thankful for a new series we found

 called"A Thousand tomorrows" by

 karen Kingsbury on Pureflix. Only

saw the first 2 episodes, but like

it so far. If you like horses and

rodeos you will probably like it.

#7
Thankful for the a good day at
church, a really good sermon on
forgiveness, and the freedom to go
there anytime we want. without
 fear for our life

#8
Thankful we were able to go to
lunch with our lunch buddies,
just the 4 of us. Their Dad who
just turned 103, got on a plane
and went up to Pa. to visit his
other daughter and family
members. Of course, they
helped make the plans and
got him to the airport and all,
and of course, his other daughter
picked him up, and, he is hearing
and visually impaired, but he
just keeps going like a timex
watch, takes a licking and
keeps on ticking!!  lol
 He is an amazing man!

#9

Thankful to see that

 Tim and Demi Tebow's

baby girl made it into the world

safe and sound.  Was fun seeing

pics on instagram.

#10

Thankful that hubby somehow

 came across some old

 Carol Burnette videos.  Always

loved watching her shows as

I grew up.  She was a hit at my

house as a kid, cause my Aunt

on my Mom's side looked a lot

like her.  Her videos are still

funny to this day.

#11

Thankful that we just got an

email from hubbies heart Doctor

and he said there was no change

in his echocardiogram.

Which is great news.

#12

Thankful we rearranged our

family room which give us

 a nice change of scenery.

  Might had some coastal touches

if I can do it without redoing

 the whole room.  lol

That's it for this week at

 Cozy Place.

Glad you could stop by.....

Have a Thankful rest of the week.

Love, Hugs,

and July Summer Blessings,

Nellie
