Thankful Thursday September 25, 2025, Fall decorating #2
There is a time for everything, and a season
for every activity under the heavens:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV
Greeting Sweet Friends,
and Happy Fall to Yall
Not feeling Fallish outside here yet,
but it is inside the house.....lol
Been a good week for the most part,
but my hubby had some issues that
weren't so fun, but he is better now,
just still healing up. You will read
about it below.
Pictures this week are from our
Fallercized family room.
So on with my Thankfuls.....
#1
Thankful to be able to go to another
Volley Ball game and out to dinner
with Lil darling and her Dad again.
They won both games again, but it
was an on the edge of your seat game.
Neck and Neck till the last minute.
Very exciting to watch.
#2
Thankful for sunshine, love getting my
Vitamin D that way too. Feels awesome and boosts your serotonin levels and helps you
keep a lil bit of a tan too.
Note, In case you don't know.... it is really
good for anyone who is struggling with depression to sit out in the sun for about
10-15 mins. 3-5 times a week , as it
really will help fight depression.
#3
Thankful for a number of long chats with
our Daughter this week.
#4
Thankful that one of our Pastors daughters
sang the National. Anthem at our ball
game, She also plays volleyball as well.
She did such an amazingly beautiful job,
so proud of her. Her Mom and whole
family are very musically inclined and
very talented... they all sing beautifully.
#5
Thankful that my hubby ran to the
store to get some subs for din din, and
came back with Fall Roses colored
roses as they were on sale, which was
great. as I only pay full price if I just
have to have them for a special table
or something. He had noticed my ones
I got over a week ago had taken
a nose dive. It was wierd cause the
buds were still fine, and had hardly
opened, but they just went limp.
Such a sweet surprise. and now they
look pretty on the dining room table
again, and this time he really did
bring them to me. lol
#6
Thankful for Publix subs. I get the
Cuban sub and it is always delicious.
#7
Thankful for these wonderful cookies
we found in our Publix bakery, they
are called "Cranberry Orange Short
bread cookies", and they are really
delicious.
#8
Thankful to be able to watch and be
blessed by Charlie Kirk's Memorial
Service. It was amazing to see all the
people that were there..... over 90-100
thousand in attendance, and 8 million +
watched on Newsmax. We watched
it on TBN, so no telling how man
watched on TBN and other media.
So many folks that had nothing but
great things to say about him and how
he had touched their lives. It was truly
like watching a revival unfold before
your eyes. We could feel the Lord's
presence there, even in our home.
Such an inspirational gathering.
#9
Thankful to know the peace. comfort
and joy that can only come from the
Lord, during times like these.
#10
Thankful hubby was able to get an
appt. with the Dr. tomorrow, as he
has a very Angry Sebaceous cyst
on this back. Just flared up over
the weekend.
Note: Went to Dr. and they cleaned
it out, but in 6 weeks or so, he will
have to have it removed. Dr. tried to
get it out but it wouldn't come with
out surgery, unfortunately, but hopefully
it will be feeling better by tomorrow.
#11
Thankful I came across an old
blog post with a recipe for chicken
and cheese enchiladas that we liked
but some how forgot about, so made
them for din din tonight and they were
sooo good, if I do say so myself. It is
an easy recipe, and I loved that I could
doll mine all up with lettuce, tomatoes,
scallions and cilantro, sour cream and
Guacamole. We have been missing some
of those ingredients on Mexican food
when we eat out or they barely put any
on....and altho I liked the food, not as
well as what I made tonight....
Cause I had it my way!!! lol
Oh Poo, just realized I should
have taken a picture cause
the recipe doesn't have one.
#12
Thankful hubby is feeling better as
he was having considerable pain with
that cyst, even after they lanced it.

That's it for Cozy Place today.
Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead
and
Happy you could visit with us.

Thankful Thursday September 18, 2025, and Fall decorating at Cozy Place #1
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV
So....On with my Thankfuls.
#1
Thankful we got to go to lil darlings Volley Ball
game this week, unfortunately because she is
a newbie on the team she didn't get play, which
is hard for her, but that's typically how it is....
but her team did win, so that was nice.
Then we went out to dinner with she and her
dad, our Son. Was a good time as always,
#2
Thankful for some lovely orange roses and
2 white baby boo pumpkins I found at the
grocery store. I teased my hubby that I
was gonna put them on facebook.... and say
"Look what my hubby brought me... these
beautiful fall roses"..........and make him
look good!! lol
well, he did pay for them @ checkout......
It's sort of a joke with us, because I hear some
people say things (I think sometimes out of
sour grapes) that people put stuff on facebook
to make things look better than they really
are...or to make others jealous.
#3
Thankful I finally finished my Fall decorating!!
We are really enjoying the look of Fall, inside our
house at least!! lol Cooler weather is coming but it
will be closer to the end of October probably.
Now gotta pack away the leftovers and get it out to
the garage and vacuum and it will be a done deal
for a few months...........
For the last 5 years I have thought, I am not
gonna do as much this year, but I have such a
collection from over the 45 yrs. we have lived here,
and decor pcs. that I love and so many have been
given to me, by those I love, and I enjoy the
creativity of decorating, that when it comes
down to it, I just can't seem to help myself.
It's sort of a trip down memory lane. lol
Note: Every thing put away, and house
vacuumed, so we are happy campers.
#4
So thankful to be able to go back to church
this morning. After being home for 2
Sundays it seemed like months. It was
a great service and Pastor Juan is teaching
on marriage for the next few weeks.
A much needed subject especially for many
young marriages.
#5
Thankful that I met 2 separate lil teenage
girls at church today. One has been coming
for about a year and the other one, it was
her first time and she came alone, only
16 yrs. old. So we asked if she would like
to sit with us and she did. They were
both adorable young ladies.
#6
Thankful we got to go out with our lunch
buddies today too. Had a fun lunch with
lots of laughter, and it was neat that her
103 yr. old Dad was back with us. He
had taken a trip up north to visit her
sister and other relatives. They had a
birthday party for his sister she was
100 yrs. old, and she passed away just
2 days later, and he has another sister
who is 97 yrs, old. They sure have a
lot of longevity in their family, which
is neat............they must have done a
great job of honoring their parents.
(Ref: Exodus 20:12 from the bible)
#7
Thankful for the opportunity to buy a
stranger's lunch while we were at the
restaurant. He was an elderly man....
I say that like I am not....lol He had
forgotten his wallet in the car, and left
his phone on the table so they know he'd
be back, and we have always wanted to
do that, so we jumped at the chance.
He was very surprised and grateful,
and a blessing to us too.
#8
Thankful for Bacon, lettuce, and tomato
sandwiches for breakfast. I love them,
but rarely think to eat them for some reason.
As kids, we used to eat them a lot.
#9
Thankful for a sweet blast from my past.
It happened just as I was finishing my
decorating. I was doing the top of my
china hutch and I had put a book up
their a long time ago to put something
on top of it, but had to take it down as
it was in the way, and saw that it was
an old book from when I was a kid so
I opened it and my Mom had written
something inside, which I don't ever
remember seeing before and it was
a reminder to me of the sweet Mom
I grew up with.....she has been gone
about 20 yrs. now, but when I was in
my early 20's my Mom had a tragic
incident and was never the same after
that, so even tho we loved her still
our relationships with her were very
difficult most of the time, but we know
she is in heaven and I know that our
relationship will be perfect when I see
her next time...........looking forward
to that!!
#10
Thankful for another sweet blast from
the past this morning. Was dusting in
my china hutch this morning, and I
remembered some years back when
my china hutch just imploded on me.
I was stunned because it was just all
of a sudden and very loud, but the
Lord protected me and spoke to me
about the loss of the broken things.
Love these reminders of his goodness.
#11
Thankful that today is the 58th Anniverary
of some of our dearest friends. We have
known each other 40+ years. They are a
great testimony of a good marriage.
#12
Thankful that another friend who lives
alone and was trying to decide if she
should retire or not, because she was
feeling like "what am I gonna do with
myself" She finally asked the Lord,
how long do you want me to work?
cause she is gonna be 79 soon. Two
days later her boss came to her and
said they were gonna downsize her
to part time because their enrollment
was down. She is already working
from home, so will just continue that.
That is a great way to ease into her
retirement. She was very happy for
that quick answer to prayer and
direction............
Well....that's it for Cozy Place
this week.
Happy you spent some time with us
and
Hope you have a good rest of the week.
Love, Hugs and
Mid September Blessings,
Nellie

Thankful Thursday September 11, 2025
The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.”
Psalm 103:19
Hello Sweet Friends,
Well, it has been a rough couple of days for our
country. Meaning the assassination of Charlie
Kirk, another school shooting in Colorado, and
then the remembrance of Sept. 11th.
Since it is Sept. 11th, just had to put a picture
of the twin towers. We should never forget......
but I think some people might have and want
to continue to put our country at risk.
Very Disturbing to say the least, but we
also have to remember who is in charge and
on HIS throne and so Thankful He knows
what He is doing...........
for
“God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on his holy throne.”
Psalm 47:8 NIV
Sorry... just that one picture today since
I am running so late......but also since
nothing seems appropriate given the
circumstances of Sept. 10th....
On with my Thankfuls......
#1 and 2
Thankful we were able to get lil darling from school,
and take her to volleyball practice. As we watched
we can see how much she has improved since the
last time. Which was only 3 practices before.
Also thankful, we along with her Dad all went
out to dinner together for Barbecue. So it was
all a nice time.
#3
Thankful for some delicious cinnamon rolls we
found at Walmart Supercenter, that were so good.
We had thenm for Breakfast after eating bacon
and eggs. Yummy!!
#4
Thankful for 2 good school days with lil darling
and a few good chats, and some time to do some
Fall decorating together. and she made her
first floral arrangement. an it came out
really good.
#5
Thankful for a dish we made this week
called Chimi Chicken Bowls. It is the best
thing I have eaten in a long time, so tasty.
It has chimichurri sauce. We also did
it a few days later and used steak, it was
also amazingly delicious.
Check back soon, if you would like the recipe
as I am gonna try and write my version
of it down for later use. Hopefully I can
do it by next week maybe.
#6
Thankful once again, that we can watch
our church from home, cause I somehow
threw my back out, and am having trouble
getting up and down when I sit...........
#7
Thankful for a wonderful movie we watched
on Pure Flix, called "Someone like You".
Written by Karen Kingbury, it has a really
wonderful story line, very clean and uplifting
but you might need a kleenex in a few scenes.
Best movie we have seen in awhile.
#8
Thankful that once again, the invest that
was out in the Atlantic Ocean has dissipated.
Many answers to prayer this Hurricane
Season..........and believing for it to be good
the rest of the season. The Lord is good.
#9
Thankful that my back is doing somewhat
better, not quite there yet, but great not
to be in as much pain.
#10
Thankful that the letter we sent to the A/C
Company (if you read my last Thankful post
I wrote about it) brought a phone message
saying they were ordering the part and they
would be out to put it in when the part arrived
and that it would be under warranty. Can't
say the fellow seemed real happy about it
but we called and thanked him and told
him, we would be praying the A/C Co.
would honor their warranty and pay them.
Will consider it a done deal once the part
is put in, and then, we can continue on our
good relationship that we have had these
past almost 45 years.
#11
Thankful the A/C Company came out the
next morning and fixed the problem, so
we had them put in a surge protector, so
hopefully that will help us not have any
problems since we do get power surges
and lots of thunder and lightning. they
thought it was a power surge that messed
it up to begin with........
So it's a done deal..........YAY
#12
Thankful that given the horrific events of
September 10th, I am extremely grateful
that Sept. 11th passed us by without any
other horrible things happening.

That's it for Cozy Place this week.
Have a somber but peaceful weekend.
Glad you were here.
