Winter Decorating, this time in the living room.
And on with my Thankfuls...........
#1
Thankful for the way the Lord encourages us.
On Thursday we were gonna try and meet up with our
Son and Granddaughter for Dinner, but wound up
not being able to, which was quite disappointing for all
of us. So we felt like the Lord sent us a surprise visit
from some sweet Vietnamese friends that are the age of
my Son. They live an hour away and they were
about a half hour away and asked if they could come
over, so it was so nice to see them. They now have
an empty nest.....they are precious, they always come
bearing gifts, which of course, is ot necessary but I
think it must be a Vietnamese custom, but they are just
so cute, and they are also very respectful of their elders.
So we had a lovely time with them.

Thankful that we had 3 people get a total of 17 cards
from our Freee Card Shop for Valentines day,
and Birthdays. So that was very exciting!!
#3
Thankful that hubbies sister, Susan is doing much
better today. She was very weak and sort of confused
the end of last week, and over the weekend and we felt
it was because she wasn't eating much, so we have been
providing her with easy things to eat, and some protein
drinks and she was doing so much better by today.
( Monday.) Thank goodness, we were afraid we
were gonna have to evac her to the hospital.
Update: It has been up and down with her all week.

Thankful I was able to send out almost 100
of our flip-cards to friends and family and church
family for Valentine's Day.
#5
Thankful for a quiet but lovely Valentines Day
with my honey. We just made a simple din din
at home and watched a few movies on Pureflix.
Loved my Valentine Card.
#6
Thankful that my Vietnamese friend put me
on to drinking ginger tea, and she even brought
me a ginger grater when she came. and it was
much easier to use that the cheese grater I was
using. Makes it easy to make the tea, and it
suppose to be good for your digestive system, so
I am already requiring a taste for it and am
having it every morning. I tried it with
Apple Cider Vinegar but decided just
to go for the ginger!! lol
#7
Thankful for a nice long chat with a long time
friend Vicki, last night.
#8
Thankful to be able to encourage my empty nester
friend...........we all know how hard that time of
life can be for Mom's especially. I remember
when my Son went away to college we had
answer phones back then, and if we weren't home
and he called I saved his message and would
play it everyday, just to hear his voice. lol
#9
Thankful that we were able to find a pet rescue to
come and get 2 birds that belong to hubbies sister
as she is just not able to care of them anymore.
and agreed it was time to let them go to someone
else who could care for them.
#10
Thankful she was in agreement with us about that,
as we know it is very hard for her, she has had
them for a very long time, so it is a sad time,
but we feel good about the place they are going,
as they were recommended by the Humane
Society.
#11
Thankful that the new bird owner came to get the
birds today and Hubby said he was very nice
and gentle with the African Gray, cause he was not
excited by being picked up by a stranger to be put
in a carrier, course, he acts the same way when
my Sister-in-law takes him to the Vet.
Anyway, this fellow already has another African
Grey and 2 0r 3 Cockatiels, so they will have
buddies to share a room with..........She has
had both these birds, Jerry and Cuddles for
over 25 yrs. and they have been in the same room
together all that time, and that will continue with
the new owner as well. So we are so thankful
for who the Lord provided as their new owner.
#12
Thankful for what I am making for din din
tonight and can hardly wait. I have only made
it once before, and hoping it is as delicious as the
last time. It's called Chimi Chicken rice bowls.
#13
Thankful that hopefully we will be able to get together
with our Son and lil darling on Saturday night,
so hoping that works out...........
Well, that's all for this week here at Cozy Place
Happy you could come and spend some time
with us, and would love it if you shared something
you are Thankful for with us.
Have a Wonderful Weekend.
Love, Hugs and Mid-End
February Blessings,
Nellie
