Thankful Thursday February 12, 2026, and Winter decorating (for Valentines day) #3

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
Isaiah 55:10 NIV

Hello Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you warm and cozy wherever you are. It has warmed up here, but turned to gloomy overcast weather now, as we had beautiful sunny days after all the storms,  so missing the sunshine the last few days, and hoping this gloomy looks like Winter weather flies away soon!    I imagine you can relate to that. lol

We are all gonna really appreciate Spring more than normal this year I have a feeling.

Pictures today are in our kitchen.  Last year I didn't decorate for Valentines day and I missed it,  so this year decided to do it in our kitchen.

Thankful for a clean house, especially

our bedroom, cause it needed a

good dusting for sure. So happy I am

much better and we were able to do

 it ourselves. Was beginning to

think we might need to call a maid

service, but I would rather do it

myself, if and when I can.

#2

Thankful for a utube video I

happened on by a young lady named

Jenna Pierce, and because I love home

decorating I really enjoy her content,

and even found we could play it on

the TV too, which makes it just seem

like a show on TV. She give a lot of

great tips and information.

Watched this last night, it's their

living room reno.  Not into that style

of decorating, but still enjoyed it

cause she really has the basics of

decorating down well.

Click here if you'd like to watch.

Thankful for these adorable lil battery powered lamps we got from our Son for Christmas. They are very simple, stylish and just what we needed. We can't plug a lamp in by our sofa cause it sits out in the room, so this was perfect!!  Now I can sit on the sofa and read, and it has become a cozy lil reading nook now.

Loving it!  See pic below...

See the brass lamp right at the
 end of the sofa

Thankful for a fun night out just going
to Aldi, Michaels and dinner at Olive
Garden.  Haven't been out of the
house in over 2 weeks,  so it was
 lovely, and well needed.

#5
Thankful we got to have lil darling here with us today. Since she doing most of her work herself these days,  she stays home on the days she
doesn't go to school.  So we miss
her, but she is gonna be 13 soon,
so we knew these days would come.
Sad but true, course, I have to say
it worked out at the same time I
was having all my back issues.

#6
Thankful the Lord revealed to me
the need to write a letter to some
one explaining about something
 that happened many years ago.
So looking forward to seeing the outcome of it.

#7
Thankful that our first lady of Florida, Cassie DeSantis is looking into this candy laced with arsenic situation.
Was listening to her on a show this
morning and it seems to be in most
of the candy kids like the most.
and why would arsenic be in our
kids candy at all???

#8
Thankful that McDonalds had
their strawberry/cream cheese pies again. They are so good,  I am thinking probably just for
 Valentine's day, but who knows
they might surprise us

#9
Thankful that my new wedge
shoes from DSW, our daughter
found for me..... came and they
look pretty good even tho they
aren't as high as my heels, still
look better than flats, and look
okay with a couple of dresses
I tried.  Course, haven't worn
them for for any length of time
yet,  so will see.

Thankful I was able to finally go back to church yesterday. It was a great day really.  Good sermon and my new wedge shoes worked out great. Unfortunaely our lunch buddies weren't there, so we went to lunch
just the 2 of us, which was fine and
the food was better than usual. and then had a good afternoon, and I
felt good all day.  got to talk with
my Daughter some too.

#11
Thankful to also have the priviledge to talk to a young  to me, but really a middle age Mom,  who is going through the empty nest phase in life.
She is a sweetie and a great Mom.

#12
Thankful that I finished reading that lil book I was telling you about "Secrets of the Vine"
by Bruce Wilkinson. It was a huge encouragement just like the last time
I read it 20+ years ago.
If you are a Christian, and you are in an adverse or wilderness time in your life you just might want to read it yourself.  I would highly recommend it!!  As I am very Thankful for
such a book as this.....
