Greeting Sweet Friends,
#1
Thankful that I already got 2 birthday cards
from friends and my birthday is not till
Sunday, so nice to be thought of.....
#2
Thankful my Sister-in-law Susan is still
in good spirits and looking better all the
time, since she is eating well, unfortunately,
not much progress with her legs.
#3
Thankful, so thankful that I and those
I love were born and raised in America with traditional values.
My heart breaks for those across the world
who were not, and are suffering so under
these terribly brutal regimes, and it truly
prompts me to pray for them often.
#4
Thankful that I have our Easter table
almost planned, but still working on the
centerpiece. lol
#5
Thankful for small changes like trading
lamps from one room to another that
just gives us something new to look at
without having to buy something new.
#6
Thankful hubby got to go to watch
lil darling play volleyball again this
Saturday with our Son, then they
picked up food and we all had dinner
together. Always great spending
time with out Son.
#7
Thankful that I am now working on our
guest bedroom since we are having
company next week.
#8
Thankful Susan is still in good spirits
and really likes the rehab center and her
care givers and the food. Awesome.
#9
Thankful for a quiet, yet lovely 74th
birthday. Hubby made me a lovely
breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and
orange rolls, with a very sweet card,
got lots of phone calls and texts, and
lovely meaningful birthday cards and
tons of facebook wishes, and a very special
FB post from my Daughter. You all make
me feel so loved and like a celebrity,
and....
we are still celebrating on Thursday
when the whole family can be here.
Whoo Hoo!
That all makes me one Happy Girl...

Thankful for the beautiful bundt cake
our Daughter sent me on my birthday,
unfortunately, it didn't get delivered
until the next day, but it is a beauty
and can't wait to have some. It is
white chocolate raspberry cake. YUM!!

Thankful to get a phone call from a
dear friend of 55 years. She is 78,
but it was a bit sad too, as she is
battling cancer of the liver, and she
has been thru chemo, immuno therapy
and just finished radiation, and she
goes to get the results tomorrow,
Sooo, praying for good results...
She is such a wonderful, fun loving,
sweet and comedic friend, and she
has the best sense of humor, but she
lives in Ala., so been quite a while since
we have seen each other.
I met her not long before I married
hubby. She and I worked together
and she and her hubby attended
our Wedding 55 yrs. ago

Thankful that even tho Susan slid out
of her wheelchair, she did not hurt
herself. So grateful for that!!

Have a Wonderful Easter Celebrating
our Risen Lord.
Love, Hugs and
Resurrection Blessings,
Nellie

It's Patti---I'm glad your birthday card arrived before your birthday. You never know about the mail these days. I sent a card to a local friend, and it took 6 days to get to her. Your house looks lovely. It's so fun to get the decorations out each season. They're kind of like old friends, and after a few months of not seeing them, it's a joy to haul them back out. (I use the same decor for spring and summer, then fall stuff, then Christmas and winter.) By the time February gets here, I've been without spring/summer decor for 6 months, and I am over the moon to see it all again. Praying for Susan.
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, Wow 6 days in the same town. crazy! Take about the long for Dee to get mail from here to Charleston. in town it is usually a day sometimes 2.......but then we have been trying to get Susans mail sent here for almost a month, and Jim has been to the Post office 3 times
ReplyDeleteand we got something in the mail from the PO saying they rec'd the notice and it would start on March 24th, and we are still getting the mail at her house..............just a tad frustrating!! I feel the same way about my seasonal decor............enjoy it so much, and I pretty much leave it from spring till Fall. Might add some coastal things in summer and take away a few spring things like bunnies and eggs.
and like you I am always ready to see the Spring things again after 6 months. Thanks for the sweet card, it was so appreciated, and
thanks for praying for Susan. Have a lovely Easter Hon, Love ya, Nellie
