Greetings Sweet Friends,

Sorry I am so late........I got so busy with

things for the Memorial Service I completely

forgot about it.  Good thing I had most

of it done, as I usually write something

daily, which helps.....lol

Hope you all at a great Mother's Day!!

I actually did, but that was so unexpected cause

 hubby and I were worn out, so I said ya know,

 let's just post pone it till we get the Memorial

Service behind us and our Daughter will be here

 too, so it will seem more like Mother's day to

 have us all together.  We are still working

on things for the Memorial Service, but think

we will be done soon hopefully, then we can

rest a week, before we have to start cancelling

accts and things like that.  

Pictures today are of my Mother's day flowers

 from hubby. I always tell him to get me flowers 

from the grocery store cause I like to arrange my 

own flowers. lol

These look yellow,  but the are cream and 

white, and so pretty. 

So on with my Thankfuls.......

Thankful that hubby didn't completely listen to me,

The flowers were a lovely surprise, and (I managed

to make 2 arrangements with them, which was nice).

Also, the cards and texts on Mother's Day, were so

lovely,and he also got lunch from Longhorn, and

we still plan on celebrating later, as think we will 

all be glad to have something to look foward to 

once the Memorial Service is over.

Thankful for a number of people that I heard from on Mother's wishing me a Happy Mother's Day.

  So sweet and so unexpected.

Thankful that one of my neighbor who I rarely get to see or talk to left a lil surprise plant with a one liner card, but so sweet and such a nice surprise.

  It truly is the lil things 

Just nice to be thought of...........

Thankful that 4 people used our Mother's

Day cards from our shop, and that is

always a thrill for us!  It was like the

Lord just sprinkled lil blessings all

throughout the day. So felt very special.

Thankful that our Son is going to be moving into Susan's home after it gets cleaned out and updated.

  He is working hard, and we are trying to help

some as well, but there is a lot to do, but We

are excited as that means he and lil darling will

 be less than a mile away. So hopefully we 

will get to see them a lil more.

Thankful for a verse in the Bible that says

"Behold I am doing a new thing, don't you

perceive it............and I do.....

Thankful that my long time friend is still hanging in

 there. She had another procedure where they drained 

 her chest cavity.and she is recovering from that, but

 they moved her out of ICU today and started her on

 rehab cause she is very weak.  Praying she can regain

 her strength and that they will be able to bring her

 back home in Florida from Tennessee when she

is up to it. She will still have surgeries to go thru.

We are so praying for the Lord to heal her 

esophagus, so she doesn't have to go thru that 

surgery.  Since she is eating thru a feeding tube

at present, so hopefully it will heal.

Update:  They wound up going down her throat and taking out the first stent they put in which fell into her stomach and then they put a new one in,  so we are praying it stays put and does it's job, but after all this of course, she needs rehab cause she is so weak.  So they want to move her to another hospital that is known for their expert rehab. I tell you she and her hubby have really been through it.

Thankful that I have figured out what I am wearing

 to the Memorial Service. I have gained 3 pds. and 

so having trouble finding things that fit and look

nice at the same time.  lol  So found something 

that fit but wasn't crazy about how it looked, and 

I was saying Lord, what am I gonna wear???

Then I happened to look across the room on a 

love seat we have in our bedroom, and my eyes 

fell on a dress my Daughter had give me for

 Christmas, and I did try it on Christmas day

and we all liked it......but because of all the stuff

 going on with us these last almost 7 months 

somehow just never got hung up, or worn since

I haven't been able to attend church. As soon

 as I saw it, I thought, that's my answer,

 so tried it on and it is perfect.  

Thank You Lord!!

Thankful to be done with the Memorial Brochure,

and pleased with the way it came out. The church would have done the whole thing for me, but I had already done half of it thinking I needed to do it, and have it printed, but then didn't know where to have it printed 

as our staples is supposedly going out of business, so asked our church secretary if she knew where I could have it printed and she said they would do it for me,

 so such a blessing, and I really wanted to make it

 since it is one of the last things I will do for her.

I am thankful that our bunnies have been

out every day this week and sometimes twice

in the morning and afternoon, or could be

one in the morning the other in the afternoon.

  Thinking maybe cause we have had rain and 

the grass is full of water maybe. Funny,

hubby just said both bunnies are out, which 

is a rare happening.  One is eating grass 

the other our Jasmine. They seemto really 

enjoy that Jasmine.

Journaling and reading devotionals

and just sitting with the Lord.

Thankful that I can still see the beauty

of our backyard, even tho my perfectionist

tendency is to see all the yard work that

needs doing. lol  At my age I am learning

to let go of some of that perfection cause

it is just not possible to keep up with it 

like I used to............and especially with

all that has been going on lately.....

and for this sweet lil cloche she brought

me last week. (Pic above)
