Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?
John 11:25-26
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope this finds you well and feeling healthy.
I am feeling better today, as I have felt like I
was coming down with something, but think it was
just overtiredness from recent circumstances hopefully.
At this point, we are trying to finish up things that
have to do with Susan's Homegoing and they
are many, but we are slowly whittling them down,
so we can get back to some sense of normalcy at least.
She will definitely be missed, but we are rejoicing
that she is with her Lord, and is also reunited
with her parents. So we know, she is one
Happy Girl.
and knowing that we will see her again,,,,
just means so long for now. Knowing the
Lord and knowing your loved one knows the Lord
is everything when you lose them, cause you really
didn't lose them, at least not permanently, because
God knows right where they are......with Him!
and we will be reunited with them one day.
What a Wonderful Gift that is....that God
has given to those who believe in Jesus.
Pictures today are of Floral Scenes

Thankful that we were all very pleased and delighted with
the way Susan's Memorial Service went, especially
since we had worked so hard on it......
#2
Thankful that hubby, our Son and another lady named
Mary, that Susan taught school with that also goes
to our church, spoke, and they all did such a lovely job,
and we learned a few things about her we did not know
which was neat.
#3
Thankful for our Pastors, and everyone who participated
and helped put the Memorial Service Together.
Such a blessing they were.........
#4
Thankful that they did a coffee/tea station with
muffins, as we just greeted folks as they came in and
when they were leaving which worked out great.
#5
Thankful for all who showed up to the Service
and were so kind and comforting. A few were
nice surprises, and most were our very loving
and supportive church family,
all were a blessing........
#6
Thankful that we were able to go out to dinner as
a family afterwards, without lil darling, but picked up our
Daughter's Father-in-love who went out with us.
So that was nice!
#7
Thankful that we had 2 days of just the 4 of us,
like old times........It was truly a precious time
of remembering and just fun talking and pondering,
and I can not remember that happening any
time after they were both married, which is
totally normal, so it was a very special to us
and hopefully to them too.

Thankful that one of the days was all of us working
together to help clean out Susan's home, as our Son
is getting it ready to move into it, in August after some
renovations are done, as well.

Thankful that afterwards we had a nice dinner with
London broil, baked potatoes and salad. Easy
and delicious as we had quite an appetite after all
that work, plus Memorial day was coming up on
Monday and Dee and Brooklyn would not
be here and my Son had given me some Patriotic
table decorations, so quickly came up with a cute
table to enjoy and we loved it....so we celebrated a
few days early, then watched some dry bar comedy.
Nice evening......

Thankful that I have gotten at least half of the
thankful notes out for those who attended the
Memorial Service. Hoping to finish that
tomorrow.
Note: They are all done just trying to get a
few addresses, and then we can get the rest on their way.

Thankful that we already found an attorney a few
months ago since we thought we were gonna have to
apply for Medicaid, but much to our surprise.....
we need her for handling probate instead.
#12
Thankful that we are able to keep her house which
was also hubbies parents house in the family and
our Son and lil darling are delighted to be able
to fix it up in whatever way they want. Right
now they are still just cleaning it out.....but getting
near the time to paint, strip wallpaper and put in
new flooring. Unfortunately, we have a time
frame due to circumstances that we had to get
on the ball and get it done as quickly as possible.
Well, this is it for Cozy Place this week.
Guess we should call this the
"Rest In Peace " Susan Edition #2
Happy you could visit today, I know our
theme has been sort of on the Sad side lately,
but it is what our life has been like the last
months.......but the Lord has been incredibly
good to us, even during this difficult time.
Love, Hugs and last of May
Blessings,
Nellie
