Thankful Thursday January 14th, 2021, More pics of Winter's past.......

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope you are having a good week.  I have to say I am

not getting anywhere too quickly.  Taking down some

of my Christmas but still trying to decide what to take

down and what to leave.  lol  It has also been a rather

 busy week people wise, lots of hard things going on

for others, so been on the phone, talking, texting and 

praying for a number of people.  You know the old saying

when it rains it pours..... but thankful to be a listening

ear and hopefully an encouragement as well.

I am still in process of putting our house back

together.





#1 and 2

Thankful for the opportunity to supply informational

support and prayer for my friend, who is a new 

 Grandmother, and her Daughter and new baby. 

 Mom and baby were going thru a very rough time

but Thankful to report they are doing better, but as 

we all know it can be a good day and a bad day the

next but seems to be more good days, and she went

back to the Dr. and baby has gained more weight

and seems to be more content and sleeping better.

So we feel the Lord is answering our prayers.

Thankful that I have started to take down our

Christmas decorations.  The ornaments are off

the tree,  but thinking I might just leave the tree

up in it's natural state with the lights, will see.

Am removing the really Christmasy looking

things,  so will see where I go from there.  lol

Thankful for a long but good day on Sunday.

Went to church and out to lunch to Olive Garden

 with our friend that's the new grandmother, and

 her hubby and younger daughter. this was their first

 time back at church since the March shutdown.

 So it was good to see them. Then we needed to kill

some time so we ran to JoAnns Crafts and looked

around, then went to a Memorial Service for a

friends brother, then ran to Publix quick, and 

didn't get home till 5:30,  so we were pretty

whipped by then.  Have to say it was nice to

be out of the house for most of the day for a

change.

Thankful for a number of opportunities lately to be

very intentional in showing love, care and kindness

to others, when we really didn't feel like it, but

pushed through and did it anyway, and were

very happy we did.

Thankful that I spray painted my real spruce

Christmas wreath white, and put a bow on it

and hopefully it will take us thru the Winter

Season.  I saw a faux one and thought, wonder

if I could do that with my wreath since I already

had a can of white spray paint.  So it was a

quick and easy project,  that turned out pretty

well,  I think...........will see how long it lasts!!  lol

Thankful for a lovely chat I had with our young

neighbor boy, that lives across the street,  we have

 known and loved him since he was about 5 yrs. old, 

 he is 20 yrs. old now and working at our Publix

 Grocery store, and has a sweet lilt girlfriend of 2 years.

 We see him and wave across the way, but haven't really

 gotten to talk to him up close and personal in awhile,

 due to Covid.  When he was younger he used to come

 over at times......and we all miss that, so think we are 

gonna try to get together and play games or something

 one night and get to know his girlfriend, as we have only

 met her once at their graduation. He is just the most

 precious kid, and has been through a lot in his young

 life, but seems to have learned from it all and is headed

 in a different direction than what he was shown by

his parents. So proud of him. and thank the Lord

for his Grandparents who have pretty much

rescued and raised him.

Thankful that the Lord woke me up one morning

with a scripture going thru my head which was a

 great reminder to me of something I already know

 but had kinda of lost sight of.......it was very helpful.

Thankful that we decided to take the new discovery+

 channel,  we are really enjoying it.....lots of great shows

 that are clean and family friendly.

Thankful that we heard about one of our former Pastors 

that got Covid and is in ICU, and Wednesday they were

 considering putting him on a ventilator, but God has heard

 everyones prayers and he is doing better, not out of ICU yet,

 but progressing in the right direction.  PTL.....

Thankful my new computer came in on Tuesday, Hubby is 

still in process of reinstalling things. Hoping we can recover

 everything,  will have to wait and see..........last time we had

 backed things up was early November,  so did lose some

cards that I made with our newer card package, but not 

too many thankfully.  Have lots more in our old card

package that I still need to convert over, but so far, he

has not been able to install it that card package, so we

are praying and hoping that will be possible, cause that

will be a whole lot of lost work, probably about 10 yrs.

worth at least.

Thankful We got to see lil darling yesterday

nd for awhile on Friday. She is back in school

which means are time with her is more limited

of course, so always Thankful for the time

we get to spend with her.

Thankful Thursday January 7, 2021, Pics of Winters past at Cozy Place



 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,

Good Evening Sweet Friends,


Hope this finds you steadfast in your faith,

Cause it has been a very sad few days for sure.

Still trying to wrap my mind around it all,

and feel a little like we have entered the

"Twilight Zone" for those of you who might

just remember that old TV show.  lol

My computer also crashed on Monday,

So, I am doing this on hubbys lap top,

which is definitely not my fav way of

doing this..........lol   So waiting on my

new computer to arrive, hopefully some

time next week....Thankfully I had some

of this done before that happened.

I will be going from a windows 7 to

a windows 10 and hoping it doesn't

take a lot to get used to it.....lol

Thankful (now this is a sacrifice of

praise) that my computer crashed

and just believing that God knew I

need a new one, as I was having some

 problems with my card package that

 I use to create cards for our online

Greeting card Shop. Hoping the new

computer might solve it.  Will see.

Thankful that we got all our porch

chairs cleaned.  Next is to clean the 

whole porch. Next Week hopefully.

Thankful we had my sister-in-law

Susan over for a Breakfast Lunch.

and some conversation.

Thankful we had our Son and Lil darling

over for a nice Spaghetti and meatball

dinner and played her new game. she

 got for Christmas...........Life.

Life games, are not what they used

to be...for sure!!  lol  But we still

had fun playing it.....

Thankful for take out from Tijuana

Flats it was such a treat as we haven't

had it, in quite awhile!

Thankful we were able to go back to 

church this week, after being out for 

3 weeks. It was such a blessing to

sing and to hear our brothers and

sisters singing as well.

Thankful we decided to go to Michaels to

 see if they had any great after Christmas

 deals, and they did, so we got another lil

 village house.  My hubby loves those, and

 we got our first 2 last year after Christmas

 for 70% off and this one was 70% off 

as well.  They really are so cute!  

They were great for my Winter decorating

last year, and looking forward to them

again this year.  I did use the first 2 for

Christmas this year

Thankful for dinner out at Longhorn

steakhouse just the 2 of us.  Our

sidekicks all stayed home today as

they were not feeling well.

Thankful her 96 yr. old Dad is

over his sickness, but now, my friend,

his daughter has something and is

sick in bed.

Thankful for some really good news

we got on monday about a long time

 friend who has ovarian cancer.

Her prognosis is looking so much

more hopeful as she had a very 

successful procedure done and

is feeling better and is finally going

to get the t-cell treatment she has

been waiting to get for almost a year.


Note: After I wrote this the first half

is still true, but the 2nd half about

the T-cell therapy has once again

changed. They are trying to find a

way to send her to Germany now.

Such a roller coaster ride they

have been on.....this has been the

story off and on since covid

started. If you feel so led please

pray for my friend Arlene, she

is a precious christian lady

and so needs this therapy

now...........  Thanks!

Thankful for the encouragement I

received fom a testimony I heard

on the Better together show. I have

said it before but it bears repeating,

I so love this talk show,  we are

always uplifted by it.  If you can't 

get it on TV you can get it by

 going to Bettertogethertv.com.

Thankful for my sweet neighbors

offer to give us 2 gingerbread

kits she had left over so we could

do them with lil darling.  Started

on one yesterday. She had so much

fun doing the one we got her she

was excited to do another one.

Thankful that we got to have lil

darling all day on Thursday again.

Next week she goes back to school

so we will only see her for a few

hours on Thursday after we pick

her up from school.

Last but definitely, not least

Thankful for my faith in God

and his word during these

troubling times. We personally

think it is the only place you

can find truth these days!

Scripture Sunday - 6th week of Advent




















Good Sunday Morning

Sweet Friends,

Here are the scriptures for today!

In Most Christian circles there are only

4 weeks of Advent, but I have learned

thru blogging that our Catholic friends

celebrate 6 weeks of Advent, which I

think is really neat.  The 6th week is

called Epiphany Sunday

 (which represents the Longing.)


1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 

2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born
 king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and
 have come to worship him.” 

3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and
 all Jerusalem with him. 

4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where
 the Messiah was to be born. 

5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is 
what the prophet has written: 

6 “ ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by
 no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of
 you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’ ” 

7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 

8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and 
search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.” 

9 After they had heard the king, they went on their
 way, and the star they had seen when it rose went
 ahead of them until it stopped over the place where
 the child was. 

10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 

11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with
 his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented
 him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 

12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back
 to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.



We have been taught that altho the wise 

men are always a part of the nativity 

scene, that they really did not visit baby 

Jesus until he was about 2 yrs. old,

 so that is the symbolism behind the

 6th week of advent.


I love that it draws out the Christmas

 Season longer.........So my Christmas 

decorations are still up and we are

still celebrating, and we will be 

 be trying to do so all year long!

It just seems to me that during the

Christmas Season, people seem to

exude more love, joy, and kindness

and I for one want to be one of

those doing that more all year long.

Thankful Thursday December 31, 2020



 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not

Hope you all had a safe and Blessed

 New Years Celebration. 

 Ours was quiet as usual, and just

the way we like it.  Have to say I did

want to have some friends over but 

due to us still coughing we didn't

think it was a good idea, but there

is always after the New Year!!  lol

Happened to catch this early one morning when the sun was coming up.

Thankful for several visits from neighbors

 that came in and sat awhile to visit on

Christmas Eve, it was nice to see them up

close and personal for a change and 

to catch up with what has been going 

on in their lives.

Thankful for a truly Wonderful Christmas

 with our family. We all had such a great

 time being together.

Thankful for all the lovely cards, gifts

 and goodies we received for Christmas, 

they were all very much appreciated

and enjoyed.

Thankful that we actually had cold weather

 all day long for Christmas,  it has been years

since that has happened, so that even made 

it more fun for us here in Florida.



Never got around to adding snow...........lol

Thankful for a fun dinner out the night 

after Christmas to Olive Garden to

 celebrate our Son-in-loves upcoming 

birthday in early January.  Since we

 were all together we just decided to 

celebrate it early.

Thankful for leftovers......cause we are

tired.....a good tired, and so blessed

because of it, but one of the perks

of hosting is all the leftovers.  lol

Thankful our Daughter and hubby made 

it home safe and sound.

Thankful for a really neat ChristmaHouse 

that we got to visit on our way out to dinner. 

Our neighbor told us about it, and we were

so glad he did. Their whole front yard was 

done, and they had a trail you could walk

thru to see everything,  it had music and

blew bubbles and snow at certain times,

 had scenes from movies like Christmas

 vacation and Christmas story.  Lil Darling

 loved it, and  We all got a kick out of it as

well,  it was all lit up and very pretty. A

nice treat for the night after Christmas.

Thankful for a phone conversation with

a long time friend of 51 years.  Always

great to talk with her, it's like we just

pick up where we left off.

Thankful that we didn't have anything

 we really had to do this week,  as we

 are both really tired for some reason. 

Maybe we got a lil relapse from our 

colds that we had prior to Christmas.

But even so,  we have gotten a few

things accomplished.

Thankful for these wonderful 

cinnamon rolls that were made

by the husband and Daughter

of a young lady we have known

since she 3 yrs. old.  I think they

do this every year to make extra

$$ for Christmas, so we have

heard about them and so got

some this year,  and they were

really great.....

Tasted just like Cinnabons, so

we all really enjoyed them.

Thankful one of my Daughters

Christmas presents finally got here

 on Wednesday,  it was mailed on 

Dec. 7th but some how never made

 it before Christmas,  so we mailed

 it on to her by UPS rather than 

USPS since they took so long.
