But may the righteous be glad and rejoice
before God; may they be happy and joyful.
before God; may they be happy and joyful.
Psalm 68:3 NIV
Greetings Sweet Friends,
Hope you have had a great week,
and that everyone's kiddles are
happy with their new school year
and teachers.
Hope you have had a great week,
and that everyone's kiddles are
happy with their new school year
and teachers.
This used to be such a bitter/sweet
time of year for me. I was happy to
get back on a schedule but not
happy to send my kids back to
school, as I have always loved
having my kids around. I am
happy we will still be able to have
lil darling every Wed. still.

Pictures today are just
floral pictures I have taken

So on with my Thankful

So on with my Thankful
Post............
#1
Thankful for a nice night out and
dinner at a new restaurant to our area
called "Bahama Breeze". My dinner
was great, hubby wasn't as crazy about
his, as it was all quite different, than
what we are used to....as it had a lot
of Jerk seasoning mostly on his meal,
not so much on mine, but we did
really enjoy it and the Island atmos-
phere and service. Just not a place
we would go often, but is a nice
change of pace.
#2
Thankful for another fun sleepover
with lil darling, and breakfast with
her, hubby and son. Mom had a
meeting to go to...so maybe we
can catch her next time.
#3
Thankful they had the air condition-
ing fixed before 2nd service. We
had heard it was broken during the
first service while we were in Sun-
day school, and I was really dread-
ing it, as I already was having a bad
hot flash day, but thankfully as we
approached the sanctuary we could
feel the cool air, and was informed
someone was able to come and fix
it..........such a relief cause when I
get too hot I feel sick and it affects
my body in not so great ways.
#4
Thankful for a nice dinner out at
Cracker Barrel for Sunday lunch,
just the 2 of us, and a nice long nap.
I was bad and had their buttermilk
fried chicken breasts, and I haven't
had fried chicken in I can't even
tell you how long, and it was truly
amazingly good.

Thankful to have gotten our ballots
all researched, filled out and in the
mail, for our Florida primary
election.
A side note: Lots of people do not
think primary elections are important
and I used to think that too, some yrs.
back, but I have heard a few candidates
say that they have seen people win by
just one vote because of poor voter
turnout, so that changed my mind.
So don't forget to vote whenever
your primary election is....your
vote might just be the tie breaker!
Also we have found voting by mail
a much better way to be able to give
us a chance to check out the
candidates and research info on
them from the convenience of our
home, because there are always
issues on the ballot that we are not
expecting....this way we have
a chance to maybe ask around
and research it, so that you can
be a much more educated voter.
As our Votes are extremely
important these days!!

Thankful to have gotten all our
bushes out front cut back on Tues.
morning. Had to get out there
early cause it rains every day.
So everything was wet but we
just had to do it anyway!
#7
Thankful that the inexpensive
swing we bought for lil darling
was such a hit. She was just
so thrilled when she came last
week and saw it hanging from
our tree. She had outgrown her
other baby swing and has a
swing set at home, so would
never imagined she would be
sooo tickled with it, but she
was just so happy, and loves
going out there several times
a day and it made us so happy
we got it for her.
#8
Thankful that we were able to
get some stuff taken care of
with medicare, as they still
showed us having Ins. from
my hubbies old company,
so hopefully that is all
squared away now.
#9 and 10
Thankful things went well for
my daughter and hubby as
they took care of her in-laws
pets while they were away for
2 weeks and Thankful her
in-laws had a really great
time on their vacation too!
#11
Thankful for my late Mom
who would have turned 91
today if she were here on
earth with us, but she has
been spending her birthday
with Jesus for almost 13
years now and I am sure
it is another happy and
Joyful day for her....
#12
Thankful for a fun bike ride
around the neighborhood, we
didn't go too far since this was
our first time out in a long time,
but we are hoping to make this
a regular way to get exercise.
It really felt great!!
Here's to another week at
Cozy Place
Thanks for your visit, and
Hope you have a great Friday
and Weekend.
Love, Hugs and
Mid August Blessings,
Nellie

#1. I remember one time I ate there with Alice (some time ago!) I like any kind of food except for hot spicy food. It makes me cough a whole lot!
ReplyDelete#2. She is getting to be a big girl now! I bet she enjoyed it too!
#3. I'm surprised it got cool so quickly! They usually have to turn it on really early to get the large sanctuary cooled (especially after all the warm bodies get in!!)
#4. Good for you! It's great to occasionally eat food we love so much!
#5. Thank you for your research! I still go to the church ff Doyle. I like to see my ballot
placed in the box!
#6. I don't know how you stand the humidity!!! I can just go to the mailbox and back and am
wet with perspiration!
#7. It's such a thrill to see simple things bringing such joy to all involved!
#8. I'm glad they have it settled! Thank the LORD!
#9 & #10. Yahoo for the all, the pets too!
#11. Amen! Just think of all the saints she is sharing it with and most of all, Jesus!! Happy Birthday to DeeAnna today too!!
#12. It is much fun to share with another in doing so! Love you all, Susan
Morning Susan,
ReplyDeleteYea, have to say I was very surprised the sanctuary cooled off so quickly......but so thankful it did.......I was not the least bit uncomfortable.
About the ballots.....they have a number you can call to make sure they arrived safely.
Actually bike riding is one of those things you can do that is even fun solo....cause I used
to ride alone all the time when Jim worked. Love the wind in my face and my hair blowing
in the breeze and the scenery and exercise it affords.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by and your comments.
Love, Nellie
