Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Morning

Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you doing well.

Here is the scripture for today.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will
uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Have a Blessed Day

Hugs,
Nellie

P.S. If my blog looks a bit different
it is because I tried to put a new
blog background on and all my
things on the side got pushed all
the way to the bottom somehow
and we just haven't had time to
fix it.....but we will hopefully
this week sometime.  lol

Thankful Thursday March 26, 2020, playing with photoshop again - Birthday Table

For I am the LORD your God who
takes hold of your right hand and says
to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Isaiah 41:13 NIV

Greetings Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you well rested
and enjoying some down time,
and if you are one that is working
We so appreciate all you are doing
to help in this time of isolation.

We have been working in the yard
again, it was overcast all morning, so
we were out there 3 hrs. or so....
got a lot more done.

We woke up to an alert on my com-
puter saying it couldn't find my drive
and hubby thought my computer had
crashed but now after he has had
more time to check it out he thinks
it might be okay, but he is backing
everything up first before he does
any trouble shooting, and that will
take all day probably before we know
for sure.  So praying it's okay!!
Note: later Thurs. evening, my
computer is alive and well, thank
the Lord.

Pics today are from last week when
I was playing on photoshop with
some extra photos I had.  Hope
you enjoy them.  well, on with
Thankful Thursday.

 Cutout Affect

#1
Thankful again for more yard work
we got done last Friday and today
Thursday.  made a lot of progress.
Next we can put the bushes in and
mulch and we will be done.Course
will have to wait for the all clear
before we can get the bushes and
more mulch.

#2
Thankful that our Hibiscus bush did
not die this Winter, and is larger than
usual for this time of year and has
tons of beautiful peach blooms, altho
they look more like mini blooms for
some reason.  Still very pretty.

Colored Pencil Affect

#3
Thankful for our first time of ordering
groceries online from our Walmart
Neighborhood Market, which was
perfect for this time of lock down.
It was very convenient to do the
shopping online and once you finish
and place your order, they tell you
exactly when to come pick up, they
tell you the day and give you an hour
window, and they send you a list once
they finish shopping and before you
go that tells you what they didn't
have and if they had to substitute any-
thing. Then when you leave the house
you have an app that tells them you
are leaving and when you get there
they ask you what # spot you parked
in (as they have special parking just
for pick up) and what color your
car is, and within a minute they
come out with your groceries and
put them in the car for you.  they
also ask you if you are happy with
the substitutes and if not, they will
take them off your bill right then
and there.  It was amazingly
convenient, efficient and FREE!
Of course,  I am meaning the ser-
vice not the groceries, but what a
great service this is....especially for
now or if you were sick or some-
thing especially.  You do have to
order a day or 2 in advance tho.

Soft Omni Affect

Thankful to have lil darling again
this Monday.  We had a lot of fun
today.....playing tea party, had her
fave breakfast, was outside swinging
and Grampy took us for several rides
in the wagon pulling us with his John
Deere, (the weather was very nice
today which really made it nice to
be outside),we decorated our Easter
 tree, watched some cartoons while
we snacked a bit, hid Easter Eggs
with Peanut Butter M & M's inside
(so we could eat them when we
found them) colored in a coloring
book, and played a new game we
got her for her birthday called
 Headbanz.

 Equalized Affect

#5
Thankful for all the first responders,
Drs./Nurses, healthcare workers and
those that do all sorts of  jobs at the
 hospital that are very important.
They are all unsung heros and are
so appreciated.

#6 and 7
Thankful for President Trump and
VP Pence and all those Drs. and people
they have on the Corona Virus task force.
Also Thankful that they are all keeping us
informed daily of things that are going on.

 Posterized Affect

#8
Thankful for all our truckers and
grocery store workers, restaurant
workers and anyone else not mentioned
who is out there there helping to make
this situation better.
We appreciate you so much!!

#9
Thankful that they are gonna start using
the Chloraquin and Z Packs tomorrow
(Tuesday) and praying it will yield great
results.  From all we have heard about it
that should be the case, and maybe
everyone can rest a bit easier.

 Photocopy Affect

#10
Thankful for the Peace of God
during these trying and some times
scary times we are living in.

Poster Edges Affect

#11
Thankful to hear today that the virus
seems to be slowing some.  Just hope
people don't just take that as an all
clear.

Paint Daubs Affect

#12
Thankful that my dear friend Arlene
will finally be able to go to Singapore
to get her t-cell treatment for Ovarian
cancer.  It has been a 3 mo, wait.  She
had to recover from surgery first and
then there was another delay and then
it was the Corona virus.  It is a 25 hr.
travel time and she will be there with
her hubby and daughter for 6 weeks.
If you feel so led please pray for her
and her family and for great success
with the treatment

#13
Thankful that we live in America.
No matter how many problems we
have it is still the best place in the
world to live as far as I am concerned.
No place I would ever want to be,
this side of Heaven.

Scripture Sunday

Good Sunday Afternoon
Sweet Friends,

Hope this finds you doing well and enjoying
Spring and your some down time and rest.
Thought this was a good verse for the
things that are going on in our world.

Jesus Said “Come to me,

all you who are weary and burdened,

and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

for I am gentle and humble in heart,

and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11: 28-30 NIV

Have a Very Blessed and
Peaceful Day!

Hugs, Nellie

Thankful Thursday March 19, 2020, and Pretty Spring flowers

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds
are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Isaiah 26:3  NIV

Happy Spring Sweet Friends,

Wow, it has been quite an interesting
week, hasn't it??  I totally forgot today
was the first day of Spring until late
this afternoon, just too much else
 going on.  lol

Hope you and your family are soldiering
through it safely. Was happy to see in
the News today that President Trump
said they are in the process of testing a
medication that has been on the market
for 70 years, that they use for Malaria,
but seems to be effective on the Corona
virus as well.....and if so, hopefully they
will be able to dispense it soon.  I feel
that is an answer to all the prayers that
went up on Sunday (and everyday in
many households).
It has been a very uncertain time for
everyone and that is when it is a good
time to trust God with our future,
cause HE knows the beginning from
the end.  God's word says our days
are numbered, and when our number
is up it will be our time to depart
this world.....and I truly believe we
are not going anywhere one minute
before the Lord means for us to.....
the only thing is we don't have any
idea when or how that will be, so
makes sense for us to make sure
we know Jesus, since our eternal
destination depends on our faith in
Him and what HE did on the cross
for all of us over 2,000 years ago,
As John 3:16 says.....
For God so loved the world that
he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall
not perish but have eternal life.

Was gonna post some other pics today,
but decided some Spring flowers might
be more beautiful and uplifting, cause
 who doesn't like pretty flowers.
So Flowers for You.....hope YOU
enjoy them.........

#1 and 2
Thankful we got most of our bushes
pulled up, and it was easier than
we thought it would be.
Thankful that we got the outside
windows washed as well.....did
both last Friday.

#3
Thankful that our Contractor
actually finished our shed on
Saturday.
Did you hear us singing the
Halleleujah chorus???  lol

#4
Thankful that I think we have
figured out the new bushes to
put in,  if we can find them now.
They are called  "Green Island
Ficus", or if we can get out to
get them at some point.

#5
Thankful that our church now
has live streaming so we could
still participate in worship ser-
vices at our church, since they
called off all services until
further notice.  Felt so wierd
not to be able to go to church,
but we watched a number of
Pastors and it was a good day
just different.  We kept for-
getting it was Sunday cause
it seemed like Saturday or
Monday.........lol

#6
Thankful that we got to have
Brooklyn with us all day on
Monday, since she is out of
school due to the Coronavirus.
We had a good time with her
as always.

#7 and 8
Thankful that we were able
to get out on Monday afternoon
and get stuff from the grocery
store we needed.  We went about
2:30, so there were not many
people in the store at that time,
and we were able to get every-
thing we needed.
Also, Thankful for what a good
helper lil darling was as we were
 shopping.  She would get things
we pointed out and put them in the
cart for us and twist the bags with
 the veggies,  so cute!!
This was our first time doing
shopping with her.  It was quite
a fun time actually.

#9
Thankful hubby was able to
help a guy friend with his Math.
He seems to be coming a Math
tutor these days.  lol

#10
Thankful that God is in control
of our world as it seems to get
a bit crazier by the day.

#11
Thankful to hear this morning
(Thursday), that there is a medicine
they use for Malaria that might be
able to be used for this Corona virus.
Most likely an answer to all those
prayers that went up on Sunday.
Also it is a generic drug which
makes it cheap!

#12
Thankful for the realization and
amazement that God has allowed
us to be so prepared for such a
time as this.  Imagine for a moment
what if this had shown up 15 yrs.
ago.....there would not be people
able to have groceries or food
delivered, or talk to a Dr. online,
or order things online, or work
from home.  My daughter was
gonna cancell her Vet appt. for her
Dog,  and they said not to worry
they were even doing that curb-
side too, you drive up and they take
your dog in, and you wait in the car
for 15 mins., then the Dr. calls you
and tells you what they did, and
gives you to the receptionist so that
you can pay your bill, then they bring
you your pet and away you go.
Who could ever imagined any of
this....
We are an incredibly resourceful
nation, and it seems this common
enemy might just be pulling us
together again. I think the Corona
virus just might turn out to be God's
Gift, in a strangely wrapped package!!
Nothing bad ever seems to look good
in the beginning, but God has a way
of making it good in the end, if we
 are looking for it.

So don't forget to enjoy this extra
time you have with your family and
time to rest from all the chaos
for while.

Well, that's it for Cozy Place
this week.

Have a safe time of contemplation,
 rest, family time and hopefully
some fun............

Thanks for coming by....

Love, Hugs and
Spring Blessings,

Nellie

Birthday Table for Hubby and Lil darling.....

The Top of the Day to YOU
Sweet Friends,
Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Hope this finds you doing well and not
feeling panicked with all this Corona
Virus stuff going on...........Hope you
all were able to get out to the store
and get what you needed.  We went
yesterday about 2:30 and there were
not many people in the store at that
time which was what we figured
and we were able to get everything
on our list and more.  The only
thing I couldn't get was Lysol spray
and I already figured that would be
the case.  So no big deal......
We are washing our hands a lot
like they are telling us to...and
wiping things down every so
often.  We also got to have lil
darling yesterday since she is
out of school, so that was nice.

Thought maybe you could use a
diversion and some Beauty in your
life today.  Beauty always makes me
feel better anyway......as well as
scripture, so if you are in need
of some peace you might want
to read my scripture Sunday post
from yesterday.  Click Here

So sharing Hubby and lil darlings
Birthday table.  It could be a nice
Spring table as well....

Had already decided on what plates,
napkins and tablecloth I was gonna use,
but needed to come up with a centerpiece
that would work.

So looked up masculine tables on the
internet, but didn't think a lot of them
really look all that masculine, but then
did see one that included books and
another that included a lantern, so
that was a huge help....as I already
have both, and I also have some pcs.
that are royal blue as well.

So started with those pieces and looked
up some books that had blue, so stacked
them and put the lantern in the center
as the focal point and just started filling
in and shopping my home until I came
up with what I thought fit the bill.

I thought the royal Blue and most of
 the centerpc looked masculine and
the white and flowers and light blue
tablcloth were for lil darling
and hubby.

One end of centerpiece

the center

and the other end

I have done 2 other tables with these
plates and napkins last year but they
were different cause I love the
challenge of seeing what I can come
up with in order to make it look
different.  I am weird that way,
I find it creative fun!!

Have you guessed that the pretty
royal blue plates are paper goods???

I found them at BJ's wholesale
over a year ago or more, and just
fell in love with them, but there
was alot of them so I am definitely
getting my moneys worth!!  lol

Everything else....the salad plates,
 silverware and glasses are normal
tableware.  I often mix paper goods
with normal tableware, as it just
has a much more classy look.

I also like that it does help make
clean up easier as well.....

If you have followed me long
you know I always like to include
some candy just for the fun of it,
and
I found the perfect candies while
checking out at Publix.  They were
Dove chocolates and the perfect
color.

Well, there you have it sweet friends,

Thanks for droppin' in,  always nice
to have you come by.

 Keep your light shining brightly!!

Love, Hugs and
St. Patricks Day Blessings,
Nellie
