Hello Sweet Peas,
Hope this find you well and happily enjoying
Summer, and your kiddos if you have them.
Hubby recently remembered a sweet
summer treat we hadn't had in a long time
because we were talking about all the Jello
recipes for weight loss we keep seeing on
facebook and instagram.
So decided to make it and thought I might as
well share it with yall...
and guess what I made it on Saturday
and by Sunday I lost 10 pds.!!!
Just Kidding!!
If only it were true!
Recipe for Strawberry Fluff
Thought I would share a long time recipe
I had forgotten about, but hubby happened
to think of....it is perfect for Spring/ Summer
and everyone loves it. It's super easy,
Refreshing, cool, sweet and tasty,
light and delicious, and pretty healthy
as well.
This makes enough for a crowd.
Ingredients
1 16 oz. carton of cottage cheese
1 small Pk of Jello- strawberry
(or any flavor really)
1- 16 oz. can of crushed pineapple
1 large Cool whip (thawed)
chopped pecans.
Instructions
1. Dump cottage cheese into a large bowl.
2. Put dry jello on top of cottage cheese
and mix well.
3. Drain crushed pineapple and add to the
cottage cheese and jello mixture.
4. Add thawed cool whip and mix it well,
and sort of smooth out the top of it.
5. Then sprinkle chopped pecans on top
6. Put in fridge for about 2 hrs, then ck
to see if it is fairly firm, then serve.
My husband used to take this to work
when they had celebrations, and the
bowl almost always came back empty.
Well, hope you really enjoy it if you
decide to make it....you will not be
disappointed.
Love, Hugs and
Yummy Dessert Blessings,
Nellie

Looks good, but too sugary for me. Maybe sugar-free?
ReplyDeleteIt's delicious and have to say I don't really think it taste that sweet, probably because of the cottage cheese. this time we did use a different kind of whip cream, it was called "SO Delicious diary free" coconut whipped topping. and have to say it def has less sugar and didn't taste as sweet. Most sugar free things have all those things like sucralose and stuff that doesn't agree with my tummy. The coco whip only has 2 grams of sugar the Jello 19 grams, I think it was. Have a lovely day hon,

When I saw this I had to check my old index card recipe box and, sure enough, I found my Grandma's recipe...It had the same name and ingredients as yours does. I've had that as a part of my recipes for over 50 years. Delicious and brings back fond memories of her. Diane
