Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.

Summer Greetings
Sweet Friends,
How are you these days??
Doing well, I hope.
Been a good week here, not too
busy, no took slow, so just about
right. lol
The last part of the week just been
gearing up for Father's Day, making
cards, planning what's for din din
on Father's day, thinking about
table decor and ordering gifts,
and making grocery lists and all
that fun stuff you need to do to
get ready for the big day!
I would imagine some of you are
probably doing the same.
Have a good time spoiling the
Dad's in your family!!
Pictures today are of our Summer 250th Anniversary of America Patriotic kitchen. Had so much fun doing this, and we are enjoying it as well. I know it's a lil over the top, but I don't care, I love it...........and our Country.
Now,
on with my Thankfuls............
#1
Thankful for "lesser Evil" popcorn,
it is so good and made with healthier
ingredients. Our fav is the hot pink
colored bag.....but last week we saw
some in a gold bag, so we decided to
get it. So we just tried it a few mins.
ago and is delicious as well.
Reminds me of movie theatre pop
corn and has a quite a bit more salt,
but not overboard and has a buttery
flavor..........very good and same
healthy ingredients.
Gotta love that, cause pop corn is
already a good snack and has
fiber , and this particular one is
wonderful if you like butter on
your pop corn.
#2
Thankful I just finished decorating
my kitchen with a Summer and
Americana look, and I love it.
Life has been sort of heavy lately
and I just needed something fun
to do.....so decided I hadn't changed
up my kitchen in awhile so why
not? I have dubbed it our "250th
Anniversary Americana" kitchen.
Perked me right up!!
Figured hey, if they White House
can have different rooms why
can"t we?? lol
#3
Thankful and praising the Lord
that another long time friend
finally passed a kidney stone.
It has been over a week or so
now, thankfully she has not
been in excruciating pain, but
not feeling great either, and
having some other complications
and just knowing it is there and
not knowing when it is gonna
make it's appearance is more
than a bit stressful....to say the
least, and the timing could not
be more perfect, as her oldest
daughter and family are on the
way for a longer than usual visit.
I am so happy for her that she
will be able to really enjoy her
family now. God is so good.
#4
Thankful and Praising the Lord
that my other dear friend who got
home on last Saturday was able to
get all her tubes taken out today,
and she was so happy!!
I am sure she is much
more comfortable, and they didn't
even stitch up the openings where
the tubes were, just put band aids
on and gave them antibiotic cream,
so hopefully they will heal quickly.
She is still very weak, hoping maybe
they will get better sleep with all
that gone, and no one waking them
up so much during the night.
I am just saying, they never com-
plained at all. They are truly
amazing.
#5
Thankful we got to see lil darling
and our son last night. We got
take out and they came over for
awhile. Lil darling wasn't feeling
great as she went skating earlier
and hurt her tail bone, hoping
that is better today. At least we
did get to hear about her trip
to California, and got to talk
with our Son about what his
next strategic steps are with
Susan's (soon to be his) house.
#6
Thankful we were able to go
down and help our Son and
lil darling on Susan's house
again. It's actually a lot of
fun working together.
#7
Thankful since we were too tired
to help at the house today, we
at least could make dinner for
us and our Son and lil darling.
#8
Thankful my friend is feeling
so much better since she got
all those tubes out. She is still
just eating soft foods, and still
unable to walk at this point.
She does sound a lil bit stronger.
Has another Dr. appt. this week.
#9
Thankful I just realized last
night that Father's day is this
Sunday. I sort of sneaked up
on me this year. So at least
now I am planning. lol
#10
So Thankful for the gift of prayer.
When we are feeling so helpless
when those we love our suffering,
it is a great comfort to know one
of the best gifts we can give and
do for them, is to pray a lot.
That has helped me as well, as
my heart has been breaking for
several friends lately who are
going thru such intense physical
suffering.
#11
Thankful for quite a few long phone
calls with my Daughter this week.
Always a joy.
#12
Thankful I have someone coming
to clean next week, and help me
get caught up, as I am behind with
all the turmoil we have had over
the last months.
So very happy about that.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's it for Cozy place this week.
Hope you have a lovely week.
and
Thanks for stopping by
God Bless America
Love, Hugs and
mid June Blessings.
